How to Invest in Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs)

08:29
ICOs can be easy money for startups. They’ve raised hundreds of millions of dollars over the past three years, so there’s no wonder that more and more companies are trying to leverage the power ICOs hold. As an investor, though, finding a successful ICO can be a bit challenging, especially if you are not very tech-savvy. That’s where this guide can come in handy. First things first, if you want to invest in ICOs, you need to monitor Initial Coin Offerings calendar lists that show current and upcoming ICOs. Some of the best platforms that make the process of finding ICO campaigns simple include: ICO Rating Ico Alert Smithandcrown TokenMarket These markets work similarly to Kickstarter or Indiegogo, where companies present their ideas to the public, hoping to get enough support to fund the development of their projects. Go to these websites and look through the list of active or upcoming ICOs. Some of the calendar sites, like ICO Ratings, even provide free detailed reports on ICOs, and whether they’re worth investing in. When you find something you’re interested in investing, go to the developer’s site and ensure they are a legitimate business. A good sign is if the developers link to their LinkedIn or Twitter accounts. Research their credentials and try to learn as much about their professional experience. Then, have a good look at their white paper and make sure it includes a description of the project, realistic goals, the costs, and a clear roadmap of how they plan to turn their idea into an actual product. Next, go to BitcoinTalk.org, find the ANN thread about the cryptocurrency you’re interested in, and gauge community opinion on the ICO. Pay careful attention to the questions that the developers themselves answered. Did they address all of the users’ concerns or gave vague answers? Moreover, you can search the name of the ICO you’re interested in along with keywords like “scam,” “con,” or “MLM.” If you see any posts mentioning those keywords, then that’s a potential red flag, and it would be better to keep searching. Once you’ve found an ICO campaign that you are confident is legit and think has enormous potential, send Bitcoins or Ether to the project’s Bitcoin or Ether address in exchange for tokens. Store these tokens in the ICO’s campaigns escrow wallet. After a week or month or so (it usually depends on the project,) the tokens get listed on cryptocurrency exchange markets, such as Bittrex and Poloniex and became available for buying and selling to the general public. You have a few options now: you can hold on to your cryptocurrency and hope it will further increase in value or you can sell it for Bitcoin or Ether and convert it to a fiat currency like dollars, euros or yen. Just like with any other investment, don’t put all of your eggs in just one basket and hope the cryptocurrency will skyrocket in a few months. Find about five ICOs that you think might have potential, do your research, and then narrow the list to the top three. That way, if one fails, you won’t lose all of your investment. I invest in numerous ICOs a month. I dedicate a part of my crypto portfolio to investing in ICOs. I started out putting in $100 in each ICO to first learn the ropes, and then after getting more comfortable, scaled it up to $500, and then $1,000 and so on. If there’s an ICO you like, but are hesitant to invest in it, or you don’t meet the ICO investment requirements, you can always just wait for the tokens to get listed on an exchange and buy them then. http://ianbalina.com/hacking-venture-capital-making-millions-initial-coin-offerings-icos Website: http://ianbalina.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/diaryofamademan/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/diaryofamademan Snapchat: https://www.snapchat.com/add/diaryofamademan DIARY OF A MADE MAN LLC IS NOT PROVIDING INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED INVESTMENT ADVICE AND IS NOT TAKING SUBSCRIBERS PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN DISCUSSING INVESTMENTS IN ICOS. How to Expense Business Travel

04:14
How would you like to take a fabulous trip to an exotic destination and have Uncle Sam pay the bill when you return home? No, it’s not an illegal scheme that will get you in trouble, but a clever hack that allows you to travel around the world for practically nothing. When it comes to traveling, entrepreneurs have the ability to mix business and pleasure. And, here’s the beauty of it: you don’t have to be the CEO of a fancy startup to benefit from tax deductions on your travel expenses. You can turn your blog or passion for photography into a business and write off expenses. For example, if you’ve set up a business for you travel blog, now you can go anywhere in the world and file all expenses on your taxes as a business expense. After all, you’re going there for business reasons – to create new content for your blog. If you’re new to the business world, complying with the tax code may feel like navigating a maze. But, it becomes less complicated once you know what you can write off and what not. For starters, you must ensure that the primary reason for your trip is for business. Otherwise, it would be hard to justify a 7-day trip to the Bahamas when you only have one day of meetings. A clever trick would be to count up the number of business and personal day on your trip. Keep in mind that the majority of days should be for business activities. For example, you could fly to the Bahamas on Thursday, have a meeting on Friday, stay and enjoy the weekend, meet with other clients on Monday and Tuesday, and fly back home one Wednesday. Another thing that you should keep in mind is that you can’t just fly to the Bahamas with a stack of business cards in your wallet and call it a business trip. According to the IRS, you need to have at least one business meeting scheduled before you leave. Otherwise, you won’t be able to write off your expenses. Which Expenses Are Deductible? Here are some of the business travel expenses you can write off your tax bill: Transportation Costs You can deduct 100% percent of your transportation costs, whether we’re talking about bus, car or air travel. Be careful, though: you need to choose the appropriate option to be able to deduct your taxes. While flying first class is admissible, you don’t get away with deducting a two-week cruise you took to arrive at a business meeting. Also, keep in mind that according to the IRS, your home is your regular place of business. So, if you work between Monday and Friday in New Hampshire and fly to South Carolina to be with your family during the weekend, you can’t deduct your travel expenses. Lodging You can claim your accommodation entirely. Don’t forget to ask for an itemized bill when you check out from your hotel. Some costs, like movie rentals or goods from the mini bar, might not be eligible for tax deduction. Meals You can deduct 50% of the cost of meals related to your business travel needs, tips and tax included. If you’re meeting with a client over dinner, you will have to document what business related topics you’ve discussed to pass the audit. Other Expenses Other costs that you can write off include conference fees, equipment rental, dry cleaning and laundry, shipping luggage, business calls, renting a location for a presentation, and registration fees. You can’t deduct the following expenses from your taxes: Family travel costs: You can bring your family with you on a business trip, but don’t expect to be able to write off their expenses. Sure, you can deduct your hotel room because you would have stayed there whether they were with you or not, but you can’t write off their transportation costs and meals. Expenses in your city: You can’t rent a hotel room in your town and expect Uncle Sam to pay for it. Personal extensions to business trips: If your trip was primarily for business, but then you decided to extend your stay and bring your family along, you can only deduct your business-related days. Your daily commute: Transportation to and from your office can’t be write off as a business expense. Lavish meals: Paying $400 for a bottle of wine and ordering only fancy food will probably get the attention of the IRS. Any unreasonable expense: if you can’t justify it, don’t put it on your tax deduction documents. How to Practice Public Speaking

09:22
Full Guide on How to Become a Better Public Speaker: https://goo.gl/6fHvHG You might think that the best way to deliver an excellent speech is to memorize the content by heart. Although this method can give you a boost of confidence, it can also lead to numerous problems. Not only that memorization sounds unnatural but, if your mind goes blank for just a fraction of a second during your presentation, you could lose the train of your thoughts and create an awkward silence. Or even worse, you could panic and forget the entire speech altogether. So, how can you become a great public speaker if memorization and reading off paper are discouraged? The answer is practice. Maybe you’re thinking – I came here for advice, not for bad clichés! But, that’s the truth. Smart practice makes perfect. How to Use Muscle Memory to Improve Your Practice When it comes to writing and delivering a speech, most people use rote learning. They memorize the words of the content through repetition, and when it comes time to present it, they recall the words and ideas from memory. Skillful orators, on the other hand, believe that public speaking is as much about muscle memory as about rote learning. Think about it this way: delivering a speech is a real time activity. Some of the best speakers engage the audience during their presentation by making the audience repeat key messages or by stopping in the middle of the speech to ask them to share their experiences. You need to be able to develop arguments as you speak and present them in a clear manner to reach that level of engagement during a presentation. Getting that kind of speed of thoughts requires smart practice. Here are the steps to take to create muscle memory. Step 1: Practice Your Speech by Improvising As mentioned above, don’t learn the content of your speech by heart. Instead, learn how to improvise. Don’t write anything down; just let your ideas flow freely without any plan or preparation. Take note of the areas you struggle with and try to focus on improving and eliminating most of your weaknesses. It might seem hard to believe that such an approach might work. After all, how can you present yourself in front of an audience unprepared? You can’t just wing your speech. And, you are right. But, the purpose of this exercise is to help you get over the fear of “what if.” What if I forget what I want to say? What if they’ll ask questions and I won’t know what to answer? What if my ideas are wrong and everybody will make fun of me? Instead of going down that spiral, try to understand that speaking in public is not a one-way communication, but an interaction between you and your audience. By memorizing your speech, you risk to lose contact with the public and create a feeling that the entire presentation is artificial. That’s not to say you shouldn’t have a plan at all, but you should be able to improvise if the opportunity arises. Stick to a few main ideas and adapt according to the situation. Step 2: Outline Your Speech and Practice It Instead of writing the entire speech down, focus on the concepts. Create bullet points of the data, stories, and main takeaways you want to get across during your presentation. Use acronyms to help you remember the topics in your outline, then, speak naturally about them. Don’t worry if you forget some of the key points. You can move to the next idea and come back to them later. Step 3: Improvise Again By the third time you improvise your speech, you should feel a significant improvement. Not only that you can remember your key points, but you have also developed a pattern that helps you structure your ideas more accurately. The more you practice your speech (or speaking in public in general) the more you build up that procedural memory and instruct your brain to create and follow patterns. Constantly Improve Yourself Have you ever sent a school paper without realizing there’s a typo in your title? You’ve read the entire thing twice, but somehow you missed that error. That’s because we get so wrapped up in the ideas we want to share with our audience that we tend to discount secondary elements. Analyze the recordings and pay attention to both verbal and non-verbal communication. Are you slouching or fidgeting during your presentation? Are you making too many awkward pauses or using “um,” “uh,” or “like” too many times? Is your tone of voice too slow or rapid? How ICOs Can Make You a Millionaire in 3 Years

05:01
Investing in an ICO might seem like too much of a risk. But if you think about it for a second, you’ll realize that unlike traditional ventures, ICOs give you the possibility to invest in a disruptive business during the early stages. Going back to the Snapchat example, ICOs allow the average person who doesn’t have the minimum $25,000 to invest in Snapchat before it’s IPO, to invest in the next Snapchat Blockchain startup at pre-IPO type prices. Let’s take Ethereum as an example, the second biggest cryptocurrency regarding market cap, behind Bitcoin. Ethereum had an ICO three years ago, in 2014 and managed to raise $18 million on a pre-sale of their cryptocurrency token called Ether. They issued Ether in exchange for Bitcoin, valued at thirty cents ($0.30.) Although still new and experimental, users saw value in it, and the demand increased. That led to a hike in the price. Today, Ether trades at $160. Now, imagine you had taken a risk and bought $2,000 worth of Ether tokens in 2014 at thirty cents per Ether. Your $2,000 investment would now be worth $1 million after less than three years. Even if you didn’t have much money and only bought $10 worth of Ether, you would have gotten a pretty sizable return on your investment, and you would now have $3,000 in your pockets. You might think that this explosive growth only happened because at that point cryptocurrencies were something new and people were eager to test their profitability. Now that the blockchain network has stabilized, you can’t expect to see such spectacular returns on your investment. I beg to differ. Let’s take Stratis as an example, a blockchain company created to provide solutions for businesses in the financial sector that want to reap the benefits of blockchain technology. Stratis launched last year in 2016 and valued their cryptocurrency tokens, named STRAT, at $0.017 per token. At this moment, one STRAT is trading at $2.81. That’s a 164x (16,400%) return on your initial investment in less than one year. If you would have bought $100 worth of STRAT last year, you would now be $16,400+ richer than you were a year ago. Imagine if you would have taken a bigger risk and invested $5,000 in STRAT. Nowadays, your investment would be worth $820,000+ in less than one year. That’s the beauty of ICOs. Anyone, regardless of their income, country or education can become a millionaire, granted they do their homework and choose the ICO campaigns they want to invest into with great care. http://ianbalina.com/hacking-venture-capital-making-millions-initial-coin-offerings-icos Website: http://ianbalina.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/diaryofamademan/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/diaryofamademan Snapchat: https://www.snapchat.com/add/diaryofamademan DIARY OF A MADE MAN LLC IS NOT PROVIDING INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED INVESTMENT ADVICE AND IS NOT TAKING SUBSCRIBERS PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN DISCUSSING INVESTMENTS IN ICOS. How Much Can You Make Selling On Amazon?

02:37
Amazon hit $35.1 billion in sales in Q4, 2015. And, it had made over $4.74 billion from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday last year. So, it’s a no-brainer that every retailer should have a presence there. Ok, you might say to yourself, it’s relatively easy for an established retailer to make money selling on Amazon. But, how much can I, a regular seller who is just starting out, make per month? Well, if you look at the data, you’ll see that it’s possible to make anywhere between $1,000 a month to $10,000 or more a month. You Can Make $1,000 a Month Importing Products from China A surefire way to earn a decent income is importing products from China and reselling them on Amazon. To get started, you first need to search for profitable products. Don’t import and sale electronics because the chances of people buying them from Amazon are pretty slim. Look for products that are lightweight (save on shipping fees) and cost somewhere between $10 and $200. After you’ve decided on one or more profitable products, it’s time to search for suppliers. The best website for contacting Chinese suppliers is Alibaba. Use Alibaba to send out messages to all the vendors who fit your criteria, and make sure to only work with Alibaba Gold Suppliers, as they are more trustworthy from being vetted by Alibaba. You have your products, and you have a list of suppliers. Now it’s time to start shipping and get down to business. How to Make Six-Figure Incomes by Self-Publishing eBooks on Amazon Amazon has created a system, called Kindle Direct Publishing that allows authors to skip traditional publishers and sell their books directly through Amazon. You, as the author, receive 70% of the royalties from the sales of the eBooks. A recent survey found that “Self-published authors” make $10,000 a year on average. Other authors, such as Hugh Howey, have earned six-figure incomes selling through Amazon. E.L. James, for instance, sold 250,000 copies of “50 Shades of Grey” before being picked up by publishers. Airbnb Host Requirements

02:04
Full Guide on How to Make Money on Airbnb: http://ianbalina.com/how-to-make-money-renting-your-house-on-airbnb/ To become a host, you first need to set up an account. Getting on Airbnb is free for both the hosts and the guests, and it can be easily done using only your email address or your Facebook or Google+ account. Once you’re all set up, the fun begins. The Legal Aspects First of all, you should get informed about the legal context of house-sharing in your state and your city. Some cities in the United States have imposed restrictions regarding the number of days that you can rent your place through house-sharing, the number of guests you can host or the number of rooms you can provide for tourists. In other areas, you might need to obtain a permit or a license before starting your Airbnb journey. Given the fact that these types of rentals fall outside the tourist system make sure you oblige with the jurisdiction laws. You don’t want to receive penalties or fines or have to deal with any types of law enforcement. Take time to research the way occupancy taxes must be handled. In some states, Airbnb has already managed to secure the burden of taxes as their responsibility. Check if you are lucky enough to have your housing in these places. The Privacy Aspects Getting on Airbnb as a host means entering a community where each member’s privacy must be respected. If you have surveillance devices placed in your home for security reasons, make sure your guests are aware by making it very clear in your housing description. Otherwise, the guest will have the right to cancel the reservation and ask for the refund while you, as a host, might have to deal with penalties. Be Time Committed If you are serious about making a profit through Airbnb, then you’ll need to invest a few hours every week. You need to be constantly online and available to interact with your potential guests in real time. You will have to chat and answer questions regarding the accommodation you can provide before a person is convinced to rent your space. You’ll have to come up with a system to check guests in and out. Not to mention, you’ll also have to manage cleaning, whether you choose to do it yourself or hire a specialized service. Get your Landlord’s Approval If you don’t own the house or apartment you want to rent, you have to get your landlord’s permission before you set up an account. Check your contract if it allows subleasing your house or parts of it. If there is no such stipulation, ask for your landlord’s permission. Authenticity The Airbnb community has managed to grow based on trust and reliability. The details about your house should be accurate and correct. Otherwise, your low ratings will alert both future guests and Airbnb that you are not suitable to continue as a host. Your responsibility is to provide a correct description of the house, real images of your place, and ensure that all habitation standards are respected. By that, we’re referring to electricity, heat, running water and cleanliness. How ICOs are Disrupting Venture Capital and Crowd Funding

09:22
We’re at the beginning of a new golden era. The market capitalization of Blockchain-based tokens is growing at a fast pace, threatening to disrupt the venture capital industry. The traditional way of raising money for a startup involves the creation of a business plan, angel investors, multiple rounds of funding and, hopefully, an exit strategy for the investors through an IPO. But, the growth of cryptocurrencies led to the development of alternative financing methods, namely ICOs. The main benefits of ICOs are that they provide funding to the startup team to develop and launch their project while also incentivizing the community to invest. If the project succeeds and your tokens increase in value, you can sell them and make a profit. How much money can you raise through this new form of investment? A lot! Just in 2017 alone, ICOs raised over $100 million in just 15 deals. And, the entrepreneurs didn’t have to go through rounds of negotiation and wait for months to raise the capital they need. One Blockchain startup raised $16.8 million in just 30 minutes. More and more people are starting to see ICOs as a fruitful alternative to the traditional way of investing. The good news for you is that, in spite of its growth, ICOs are still a new phenomenon so you can still jump on the bandwagon before it gets too crowded. ICOs Are Similar to Crowdfunding In a way, ICOs are every similar to crowdfunding campaigns. Entrepreneurs pitch their ideas on a Blockchain platform application or digital currency, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, and people decide whether they want to invest or not. Similar to crowdfunding campaigns, entrepreneurs don’t give up equity, but tokens (cryptocurrencies). Investors can then hold on to these tokens or sell them on cryptocurrency exchanges within days or weeks of the crowdfund ending. There are a few noticeable differences, though. For starters, because the ICOs happen on blockchains, they benefit from the advantages of this digital ledger. As you probably know already, blockchain organizes data in batches called blocks instead of using a central administrator such as a bank or government. Likewise, ICOs are decentralized with no single point of failure or middle man being in control. No Need to Give up Equity The beauty of ICOs is that they allow startups to raise money without giving up equity or stock in their business to shareholders. So, the same startup that would have to renounce 10% of their share on Shark Tank can raise the $250k on blockchain while giving up 0% ownership of the company. ICOs Are Currently Unregulated by Most Laws I’m no stranger to investing and let me tell you right here, right now that you need the patience of a Buddhist monk to wait for an IPO. That’s because the government and companies heavily regulate IPOs and companies need to go through a lot of paperwork before they can become public. Crowdfunding is no stranger to bureaucracy either. The final version of the JOBS Act has no less than 685 pages! Fail to comply with the rules, and you must suffer the consequences. More Liquidity for Investors Than Venture Capital or Angel Investing If until recently the venture capital industry has been treating Initial Coin Offerings like a fad, they are now starting to pay attention to this alternative funding model. For starters, cryptocurrency investors have made huge returns in 2016, with some blockchain startups like NEM and Monero seeing up to 2,000% increases in their value. For example, Ether (the cryptocurrency used for the Ethereum blockchain) has doubled its value numerous times, within days or weeks. So, those who have bought Ether have more than doubled their investment in just a few days. You can’t see this kind of return with traditional investments. http://ianbalina.com/hacking-venture-capital-making-millions-initial-coin-offerings-icos Website: http://ianbalina.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/diaryofamademan/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/diaryofamademan Snapchat: https://www.snapchat.com/add/diaryofamademan DIARY OF A MADE MAN LLC IS NOT PROVIDING INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED INVESTMENT ADVICE AND IS NOT TAKING SUBSCRIBERS PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN DISCUSSING INVESTMENTS IN ICOS. Are ICOs Safe to Invest in?

06:24
ICOs can make you a lot of money very quickly, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they are without flaw. Only two things are certain in life, and ICOs are not one of them. You can make a lot of money with ICOs, but you can also lose them fast if you are not careful. As with any investment, it’s difficult to predict the success of a startup with absolute certainty. Similar to crowdfunding campaigns, companies might not complete the project or trick you into investing in their business without any intention of ever launching it. That is not unusual for an entirely new, mostly unregulated field. However, there are a few measures you can take to assess the credibility of a product and avoid getting scammed. Avoid Anonymous Teams Be wary if the developers of the project are either anonymous or unknown to anyone in the community. Sure, there might be instances when the developers are just new to the concept, but if they are not willing to put their reputation on the line, then it’s best to keep your money in your pocket. Only Invest in ICOs with Escrow Wallets One of the ways legitimate companies have managed to regulate ICOs is through the use of escrow. Therefore, if the developers don’t have an escrow wallet for investments, then nothing can stop them from running away with your money. Be Skeptical of Lofty Goals Another red flag you need to pay attention to is the goal of the project. If the developers have set unrealistic goals, it usually means that they don’t know what they’re doing. Or, worse, they don’t care and are just looking for a way to make a quick buck by scamming people. Don’t Invest in Just White Papers Legitimate businesses often show the status of their project, keeping investors in the loop. If the developers don’t release any proof of progress, such as beta code snippets, behind the scene documents and videos or beta/MVP versions, then most likely they don’t have anything to show. ICOs investments, as with any investment, for what matters, aren’t risk-free. The fact that the government doesn’t regulate ICOs can add to the feeling of uncertainty. However, things have changed dramatically since the inception of ICOs. Nowadays, blockchain startups impose restrictions on themselves and can provide sufficient transparency to earn the trust of investors. As already mentioned, contributions are stored in escrow wallets, and developers need several keys, including some from trusted third parties, to access the money. Moreover, companies need to provide comprehensive documentation to back up their projects, such as defined goals, recommendations from independent experts, and so on, to prove the legitimacy of their campaigns. http://ianbalina.com/hacking-venture-capital-making-millions-initial-coin-offerings-icos Website: http://ianbalina.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/diaryofamademan/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/diaryofamademan Snapchat: https://www.snapchat.com/add/diaryofamademan DIARY OF A MADE MAN LLC IS NOT PROVIDING INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED INVESTMENT ADVICE AND IS NOT TAKING SUBSCRIBERS PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN DISCUSSING INVESTMENTS IN ICOS. Tips for Listing on Airbnb

06:02
Full Guide on How to Make Money on Airbnb: http://ianbalina.com/how-to-make-money-renting-your-house-on-airbnb/ Listing a property on Airbnb is quite easy. The platform is simple and user-friendly, so you will manage to upload your listing in no time. But if you want to stand out in the crowd, there are a few tips to follow. Your Title Many people underestimate the importance of a catchy and explicit title. Here’s a good example: “Luminous and modern two-room apartment in downtown.” If you are a bit creative, you can even brand your space. Whatever you choose, make sure it is easy to remember. You don’t need to specify the name of the city in your title, as tourists get to your listing after preselecting the location. However, if your house is located in the suburbs, you should mention that in the title. Your Description Here are the rules of an excellent description: make it clear, compelling, and, above all, make it honest. Give as many details as you can to help potential guests get an accurate idea of what you can offer them. Don’t make false or exaggerated claims. If you want to be even more proficient, you can translate your description in other languages, such as Spanish or Mandarin. That way, you can give your potential guests a boost of trust. Remember: your presentation is one of the elements that hook potential guests. Your Images The best Airbnb listings are the ones that have good photographs of the apartment. The logic is simple: the better the quality of the pictures, the higher the number of reservations requests. Make an effort to take well-lit pictures during the day, when you can emphasize the natural lighting. Choose the ones that can give potential guests a better understanding of how the apartment looks, how big it is, and so on. You can even look at some of your more expensive competitors to see which angles they use to highlight the beauty of their property. Airbnb also provides complimentary professional photography services to hosts. Check and see if the services are available in your region. Your House Rules Airbnb allows all hosts to set their own housing rules, so take the time to analyze whatever limits you want to impose on your guests. Take into consideration your needs, the tourists’ expectations, as well as the general rules of your neighborhood. For example, if you live in a quiet building with private entrance, specify the silence hours. Make it clear in your rules if smoking is allowed; mention the maximum number of people that can stay in your place and if you allow visitors; mention if house sitters must perform certain house duties, such as taking out the garbage. Your Profile Your profile represents one of the most important elements of your Airbnb account. It has the power to convince a traveler that you are worthy of his trust. Complete your profile details as thoroughly and transparently as possible to let visitors know what to expect from you as their host. Your Price One of the most important aspects that people pay attention to when renting a house on Airbnb is the price. Before setting the price, check your competition. Search other places that people can rent on Airbnb from your area and check the pricing, look at the pictures, and analyze their success. Research some of the hotels as well and see what they are offering in their price range. If many properties are competing in the same area, you can choose to offer a lower price to get into the market. Take into account the fee you will have to pay to Airbnb and the costs each guest generates – cleaning supplies or services, utilities, and so on. If you’re serious about making money on Airbnb, you’ll need to be flexible with your price. Pay attention to the market’s request and raise or lower your housing fee according to the season. If you know that there is an event coming up the next month, you can increase the price since there’s a good chance there will be an influx of tourists. On the other hand, if you don’t get enough guests, you can lower the price to make your listing more appealing. Airbnb also provides a dynamic automatic pricing tool for hosts, that automatically increases and decreases the price of your listing, based on demand in your area. You have the ability to set a minimum and maximum price that it operates in. Using Expensify to Log Business Expenses for Taxes

02:10
If your business requires you to travel a lot, it can be challenging to keep track of all your expenses. Not to mention, it can be a tiring and time-consuming process. Fortunately, in today’s highly connected world, there are numerous mobile apps you can use to log and keep track of all of your expenses. Expensify is one of my favorite ones. You can take care of virtually any business expense, mileage or billable time with this app. All you have to do is import your credit and debit cards, and any transactions on them will be logged and categorized automatically. You can also scan and input receipts, organize them, and create an expense report. Whether it’s traveling for business, donating to charity or incurring any business-related expense, just snap a picture of the receipt and add it to your tax deductible report. Then, when it’s time to file your taxes, all you have to do is pull your expenses by categories, and you’re ready to send your report to the IRS. It’s just as simple as that! How to Invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Other Cryptocurrencies

10:51
Get $10 of Bitcoin free when you buy Bitcoin here: http://ianbalina.com/sixfigures/coinbase How to Start Investing in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Other Cryptocurrencies How to Start Investing in Bitcoin and Ethereum There are multiple ways to invest in virtual currencies, and it all depends on what you want. Here are the basics of buying and investing in Bitcoin, Ethereum and other alternative cryptocurrencies (altcoins). Coinbase If you’re new to cryptocurrencies, then Coinbase is the best way to get started. Coinbase is an online exchange platform for transferring, buying, selling, and storing cryptocurrency. Its creators wanted to develop an open system that would allow people to convert digital currency into their local currency. In 2013, Coinbase became the top-funded Bitcoin startup, raising over $25 million. If you signup for Coinbase using this link (http://ianbalina.com/sixfigures/coinbase), and buy or sell $100 of digital currency or more, both you and I can earn $10 of free bitcoin! GDAX and Gemini If you’ve already tested the waters and decided that Bitcoin is something worth investing in, then you need to learn how to use GDAX and Gemini. Just like Coinbase, they are exchange trading platforms that allow you to buy, sell, and store cryptocurrencies. However, these systems are more complex than Coinbase and perfect for day trading. Moreover, they have lower transaction fees than Coinbase. Let’s take a look at both of them to understand how they work. GDAX GDAX (Global Digital Asset Exchange) is a service provided by Coinbase that offers a secure and easy way for traders of all levels to buy and sell digital assets online and instantly, across six trading pairs: BTC (Bitcoin) to USD BTC to EUR BTC to GBP ETH (Ether) to USD ETH to BTC So, while Coinbase is a place for consumers to buy, sell, and store digital currency easily, GDAX is an exchange for professionals to trade digital assets. Coinbase created GDAX because it identified a need in the market for a more controlled exchange to trade Bitcoin and Ether. Gemini Gemini is another cryptocurrency exchange that has seen a massive expansion in the last years. As a world-class digital asset exchange, it provides an electronic trading platform to both individual and institutional customers. The process of registering and using Gemini is similar to GDAX. However, there are a few notable differences. For starters, Gemini allows you only to deposit and withdraw US Dollars, Bitcoins, and Ether. Unlike GDAX where you have six trading pairs, Gemini provides only four: USD to BTC, USD to ETH, BTC to ETH, and ETH to BTC. On the other hand, with Gemini, you can make a deposit and then use the funds within a matter of seconds. So, you don’t have to wait a few days for the transaction to be completed as it happens with GDAX. However, with Gemini, you can only trade Bitcoin and Ether, while with GDAX you can also trade Litecoin; I personally use GDAX to purchase my Bitcoin or Ether and then transfer it Poloniex, where I do my investing and trading. Poloniex and Bittrex Let’s say the gold rush for making a ton of money on Bitcoin and Ethereum is over, what can one do? No need to worry, there are numerous small virtual currencies, less well-known, that are actually growing faster than Bitcoin and Ethereum. In general, Bitcoin is the 800-pound gorilla in the room and all other non-Bitcoin currencies are referred to as Altcoins. If you head over to Coin Market Cap, you can see a list of 100 cryptocurrencies. Including Bitcoin, they all total up to a whopping $28 billion dollar market cap. In other words, a lot of people are taking their chances at these currencies. Where to Invest in Altcoins? There are numerous other smaller exchanges to invest in altcoins. I personally, use Poloniex and Bittrex to exchange bitcoin into other altcoins. One thing to note is that Poloniex and Bitttrex are cryptocurrency exchanges. You can ONLY exchange cryptocurrencies for other cryptocurrencies. You cannot purchase fiat currencies on Poloniex, you will have to do that at a different site like GDAX or Gemini. In other words, you cannot buy currencies on there using the dollar, euro, yen, etc. You can only make purchases (to exchange a currency) with bitcoin, ethereum, and a few others; bitcoin is the universal cryptocurrency for exchanging to other currencies. How To Sell Books On Amazon?

07:02
Here’s what you need to know if you want to make money selling books on Amazon: Sell eBooks Using Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing So, how can you make money publishing on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing? Step 1: Decide Between KDP and KDP Select: The first step you need to take is choosing between Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing and KDP Select. Both platforms connect you with millions of readers and offer 70% royalties for books priced from $2.99 to $9.99. Step 2: Design the Cover: Amazon only shows your eBook’s cover to potential buyers, so it goes without saying that it’s a vital element. Don’t ask a friend who just discovered Photoshop to give it a try. Check out 99Designs and Crowdspring for affordable design services. Make sure the image is 1500px by 2500px with a height/weight ratio of 1.6. Step 3: Convert Your Manuscript to Mobi: Although KDP supports a variety of formats, such as .doc, PDF, ePub, and RTF, experts recommend uploading your document as Mobi, a format unique to Kindle. Step 4: Publish: Sign up to KDP with your Amazon account. Enter the required information: author name, book title, categories, keywords, etc. Upload the cover. Check out your rights and territories. You’re almost there. All you have to do next is set your prices and publish. Once the eBook is live, KDP will show you a detailed report that allows you to track your metrics. Step 5: Promote Your Book: Amazon requires you to earn a certain number of sales before it puts your book on the Top 100 lists. So, you’ll need to put in a bit of effort and spread the word about your eBook yourself. Share quotes from it on social media, submit guest posts and offer promotions. Sell Audiobooks on Amazon Using Amazon Creation Exchange (ACX) Here’s how to publish an audiobook on Amazon Creation Exchange and make money: Step 1: Post a Project: If you already have an eBook published on Amazon, go to the menu and select the “New Project” window. ACX offers three choices: find someone to narrate and produce your audiobook, upload your book in audio format and sell it or narrate your book and upload the audio file later. I recommend you to choose the first option. Step 2: Pitch Your Book: One of the things that make ACX so great is that you can find voice professionals for no up-front costs. You will pay them later by offering a percentage of your royalties. To ensure you get the best talent, try to make your book as appealing as possible. Step 3: Post an Audition Script: This critical step will help you separate the goods from the mediocre. Keep the sample short. You don’t want to spend an hour listening to every submission. If your book uses specific language, make sure to include examples of it in the sample. Step 4: Find a Narrator: ACX also allows you to send invites to different narrators and encourage them to send submissions for your project. Step 5: Produce: After you have selected a narrator, you can move to the ACX workspace, where you can communicate about the project. Step 6: Publish: After you’re finished, both you and the narrator must confirm that the audiobook is ready for release. Sell Paperback Books on Amazon Using Create Space Here’s how to self-publish a paperback book with Createspace.com: Set up Your Account: Make sure you provide all the necessary information, including your tax information and bank account information so that Amazon can pay royalties on your book sales. Design Your Cover: Just as with uploading an eBook on KDP, you need to ensure that you create a high-quality cover. If you already have an eBook cover designed, all you need is the spine and back cover design. Upload your book cover, as well. Don’t forget to fill all the relevant information about your book, such as the title, author, categories, description, etc. Submit for Review: Createspace will get back to you within the next 24 hours after you’ve submitted your book for examination. Once approved, order yourself a proof copy to review. Start Selling: After you’ve approved your review copy, it will immediately become available on Createspace. It might take a bit longer for it to be live on Amazon, as well. Sell Hardcover Books on Amazon Using Ingram Spark Ingram Spark works pretty much the same way as Createspace. Ingram Spark is best suited if you want a hardcover or if you have a lot of colored pictures inside your book and want high-quality images. Ingram Spark also has a larger international distribution than Createspace and is the same publisher professional publishing houses use. It makes sense to go with Ingram Spark if you want to have your book made available to bookstores and libraries. Hybrid Block Summit in Macau, WaBi Founders, Nucleus Vision, Hong Kong | Diary of a Made Man #003

19:44
In this episode of Diary of a Made Man, I take my message of Token Metrics to Asia, by speaking at the Hybrid Block Summit. I get a chance to finally meet the WaBi co-founders, Alex and Yaz. This was a great moment, as WaBi was the first 100x ROI ICO investment for me and my audience. I also introduce Abhi Pitti, the CEO of Nucleus Vision, a new ICO I'm advising and share a few words on why I believe in Abhi. I get to meet lots of people face-to-face that I've been speaking with virtually over Telegram for the last year. We end the episode with a visit to Hong Kong, to check out the view at Victoria's Peak. I had a lot of fun in Macau and Hong Kong, and I'm glad for all the friends I've made thus far. Bitcoin, Ethereum and Cryptocurrencies for Beginners

05:47
Get $10 free of bitcoin here: http://ianbalina.com/sixfigures/coinbase Did you know that investing in Bitcoin and Ethereum could make you a millionaire? Imagine you wake up one day, and you have $886,000 in your bank account. You didn’t put any blood, sweat, and tears to earn them nor did you receive an inheritance from an unknown family member. You’ve just made a small investment that ballooned into a fortune over time. That’s what happened to a man from Oslo. Back in 2009, Christopher Koch learned about Bitcoin while working on a thesis paper about encryption. The entire system fascinated him, so he decided to invest $27 for 5,000 Bitcoins. Koch quickly forgot about the investment until four years later when Bitcoin started popping up in the news. So, he checked his encrypted wallet only to discover that he was sitting on an $886,000 nest egg. Unfortunately, not all of us are as lucky as Koch. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t possibly become a millionaire by investing in virtual currency. You just need to understand how they work so that you can maximize your profits. This quick guide will teach you everything you need to know about why you should invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other altcoins and how to do it. I will be direct and let you know that I am not a financial advisor and invest in cryptocurrencies at your own risk. I myself, have personally invested $10,500 in cryptocurrencies four months ago, and it has grown to be worth about $15,000 in that timespan. This included a $2,500 investment in Ethereum that I sold off after a month and a half, at a value of $5,500. The growth of my portfolio has slowed down the last month or so as Bitcoin deals with scalability issues (Segwit), that I won’t address here, as this is a post targeted for beginners. Let’s dive right in, shall we? Handling Bad Reviews on Airbnb

04:07
Full Guide on How to Make Money on Airbnb: http://ianbalina.com/how-to-make-money-renting-your-house-on-airbnb/ Sometimes, things can go wrong even if you worked every aspect of your guests’ stay. At the end of the day, nobody can please everybody. As reservations are piling up and more tourists choose your property, it is only a matter of time until something fails and a bad review gets published on your account. No matter the circumstances of why your guests have left you a low rating, you need to stay calm and handle the situation quickly and tactfully. Apologize to the guests for anything that hasn’t been working properly. Even if you don’t agree with the feedback, hosting is a business and “the customer is always right.” Let people know that you are genuinely feeling sorry for the bad experience and you are doing everything in your powers to fix the issues. If you think it was the customer’s fault for the bad experience, remember that you have 14 days after the checkout to review the guest. If the feedback is too harsh, write a public response to the review and explain what went wrong and how you are fixing it so that future guests don’t experience the same problem. Your reviews are permanent, so be professional in every aspect, from the way you treat your guests to the way you handle an online disagreement. Always acknowledge your fault and take your reviews as an opportunity to improve your property and the comfort of your future guests. Don’t forget that the best prevention of a bad review is good communication. By always staying in touch with your guests and assuring that they have everything they need, you can avoid low reviews. Many times, bad reviews can come as a result of a misunderstanding. Therefore, keep in contact with your guests and solve their issues right on time. In this episode, Ugo and I head to Tokyo, Japan to visit three Japanese ICOS: Zilla, Telcoin, and Phantom AI. We hang out with the teams for a week, learning more about what they're working on while trying to find the next WaBI. I meet up with a Patreon member and Twitter follower, who brings me a gift as a token of appreciation for the amount of money he's made from my videos. I host a packed crypto meetup with my audience in Tokyo and share visions of moon landings and lambos. We visit a Ferrari dealership to see if they take bitcoin, followed by some partying and enjoying the Tokyo nightlife. Zilla - https://zla.io Zilla is creating an app that allows people to safely invest in an ICO with one click. Telcoin - https://www.telco.in/ Telcoin is a cryptocurrency distributed by your mobile operator and accepted everywhere. Full Guide on How to Make Money on Airbnb: http://ianbalina.com/how-to-make-money-renting-your-house-on-airbnb/ Let’s do a little math. If you want to make a profit renting your house on Airbnb, the occupancy level needs to be at least 70% every month. Placing your property on other house-sharing increases your chances of having it booked on a regular basis. Airbnb is the largest and most popular platform in the world, but it’s not the only one. Consider HomeAway, VRBO or FlipKey to improve your chances of finding guests. You could even check some of the international options that specialize in certain kinds of renting: for groups, for families, and so on. Note that each site has its regulations and you must comply with their demands. Learn about the platform’s audience and their expectations. For instance, on websites like HomeAway or VRBO, people tend to look for more expensive housing. Keep a very organized schedule, so that you don’t get yourself in the situation of having two reservations booked for the same period on two different platforms. Airbnb has the capability to import booking calendars from some of the other rental sites, to keep things in sync, and not have guests double book your property. Cryptocurrencies are Biggest Gold Rush in World History

03:19
It’s said that savvy entrepreneurs see opportunity where no one else does. Then, why do so few of them pay attention to a new form of investment that is taking the world by storm? A better question would be: why do so few of them know that startups have raised more than $220 million in the past three years through a new financial instrument that has nothing to do with the traditional venture capital method. A lot of you struggle to make ends meet, working long hours and building side hustles that will eventually earn you money. But, what if I told you that we are living in one of the best times to make money right now? In this overly competitive economy, I hear you cry. I don’t think so, you say, raising your brows in disbelief. You better believe it and take action soon because we’re going through the biggest and fastest transfer of wealth in human history and it would be a shame not to take advantage of this new golden age. It’s a bold claim, I know, but let’s take a step back and see the big picture. Do you remember the late ‘90s when the word “dot-com” was on the tip of everybody’s tongue? Those who were savvy enough to invest at the beginning of the dot-com boom became millionaires and billionaires over the years. Think about companies such as Google, Amazon, eBay, and Cisco who rode the dot-com wave and made a fortune. The early employees and investors in those same companies also made a fortune. Well, there’s a new boom happening and, unlike the dot-com era, it’s largely flying under the radar. I’m talking about Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs), a way to raise funds for Blockchain projects, one of the most disruptive innovations in technology since the invention of the internet itself. No, you don’t need a Ph.D. in this to understand it or make money from it! In this guide, I’m going to teach you everything you need to know to understand how ICOs work and what you need to start making money. http://ianbalina.com/hacking-venture-capital-making-millions-initial-coin-offerings-icos Website: http://ianbalina.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/diaryofamademan/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/diaryofamademan Snapchat: https://www.snapchat.com/add/diaryofamademan DIARY OF A MADE MAN LLC IS NOT PROVIDING INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED INVESTMENT ADVICE AND IS NOT TAKING SUBSCRIBERS PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN DISCUSSING INVESTMENTS IN ICOS. What are Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs)?

06:45
Initial Coin Offerings are similar to a crowdfund. Blockchain startups offer investors the opportunity to invest in their projects by purchasing a part of their cryptocurrency in advance. In exchange for financing the project, investors receive digital tokens (cryptocurrency) at a very low purchase price. The investors expect the value of the received tokens to rise over time, with the option to sell the tokens on online exchanges like Bittrex or Poloniex at a higher price than the initial purchase price. ICOs usually take place in the early phases of a project. The entrepreneurs use the funds to continue developing their products and launch it. Nearly all funds come in the form of Bitcoin, although Ethereum, Bitcoin’s main competitor, is starting to get a considerable size of the ICO market. Here’s how Initial Coin Offerings typically work. Let’s imagine that a Blockchain startup creates a new product (application) on the Ethereum Blockchain. The Blockchain startup determines the value of the product, based on what they think the product is worth, and how much money they need to raise to build and scale their idea (proof-of-concept / MVP). This value, however, doesn’t remain fixed and changes according to the dynamics of the market. In other words, the market supply and demand set the price instead of a central authority or government. To get a better understanding of how ICOs works, imagine that I propose creating a competitor to Netflix called Webflix. It does everything Netflix does, except it’s open source and decentralized, meaning no company or central authority controls it, data is peer-to-peer, similar to BitTorrent. At Webflix, membership can only be purchased using tokens I create called Flix Coins. To fund my Netflix competitor, I pre-sell these tokens to the public. People buy them because if they jump on the bandwagon early, they can either resell the tokens for a higher value or trade them for membership at Webflix for pennies on the dollar. That’s if my Netflix competitor takes off. If it doesn’t, they end up with a bunch of worthless tokens. So, in a way, ICOs took the best from both Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and Crowd Funding and created a decentralized system that has no single point of failure or middle man being in control. Is that a good thing? To answer this question, let’s try to understand how IPOs and Crowd Funding work. http://ianbalina.com/hacking-venture-capital-making-millions-initial-coin-offerings-icos Website: http://ianbalina.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/diaryofamademan/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/diaryofamademan Snapchat: https://www.snapchat.com/add/diaryofamademan DIARY OF A MADE MAN LLC IS NOT PROVIDING INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED INVESTMENT ADVICE AND IS NOT TAKING SUBSCRIBERS PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN DISCUSSING INVESTMENTS IN ICOS. How to Make $100,000 a Year in Your 20s (Hacking Six Figures)

45:13
Click here for the full guide on How to Make $100,000 a Year in Your 20s https://goo.gl/2uoQBu I had life all figured out when I was a kid. My plan was pretty straightforward: I was going to become a billionaire and famous after I graduated college. Then, I was going to give back to Africa. A layup, right? Well, so I thought. You see, when you’re a kid, everything seems possible. You dream about discovering your abilities to control others with your superhuman brain, and you spend hours staring at a coin trying to make it float in the air. Everyone around you says you can accomplish everything you put your mind to, and you believe them. As adults, we’ve got used to the idea that we don’t have any telekinetic abilities, but we still dream about becoming rich. I mean, look at me! I’m all grown up, and my plan of becoming a billionaire is as high as ever. Of course, my chances of winning the lottery are pretty slim, so I’ve broken down this goal into small actionable steps. Phase one: make $100,000 a year in my 20s. I have made over $100,000 a year the last three years. My career projection went something like this. My first full-time job after graduate school, I made $85,000. My second job, I made $98,000. The next year I made $130,000. Last year I made $165,000. If we are to include my side hustle income, then I made over $200,000. Three months into 2017, and I’ve already made $245,000 this year alone. After making over six-figures the last three years, and still only 28 years old, it’s safe to say I have accomplished the first phase of my goal. As a result, I want to teach you how you can get there too. But, keep in mind: the journey to making $100,000 a year is not easy. You need a strong work ethic and a lot of perseverance. Probably 99% of the people reading this don’t have what it takes to make it to the finish line. Or maybe they will, who knows? It’s all up to you in the end. Now, grab a tasty beverage, get comfortable in your chair, and let’s see how you can make $100,000 a year in your 20s. ______________________________________ TABLE OF CONTENTS: 01:12 - WHY DO YOU WANT TO MAKE 6 FIGURES? 03:21 - STEP 1: FIND A JOB, ANY JOB 07:39 - STEP 2: FIND THE DIVISION IN YOU COMPANY THAT PAY THE MOST 16:38 - STEP 3: SEARCH FOR WORK WHEN YOU ALREADY HAVE A JOB 26:15 - STEP 4: DECREASE YOUR TAXABLE INCOME 29:40 - STEP 5: AUTOMATE YOUR EXPENSE LOGGING 32:02 - STEP 6: DECREASE YOUR LARGEST EXPENSES 33:32 - STEP 7: INVEST IN YOURSELF AND TAKE RISKS 35:55 - STEP 8: USE YOUR SIDE BUSINESS TO BRAND YOURSELF AS AN EXPERT 41:50 - STEP 9: LEVERAGE ______________________________________ Website: http://ianbalina.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/diaryofamademan/ Snapchat: https://www.snapchat.com/add/diaryofamademan Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ianbalina/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/diaryofamademan Disclosures: https://ianbalina.com/pages/transparency

How To Sell Your Independent Film On Amazon?

02:51
Get Your Film on Amazon Video How Does Amazon Video Direct Work? At the beginning of last year, Amazon has taken on YouTube by offering a new video platform where anyone can post videos and get paid for it. Amazon Video Direct allows filmmakers, content creators, and companies to upload their videos for the millions of members of Amazon’s Prime Video service to watch. Amazon will pay you 50% of the retail price for every purchase, rental, and subscription fee. Unlike YouTube, you can only upload high-definition videos to Amazon Video Direct. Here’s how to sell your film on Amazon Video Direct: Create an Account: First thing first, you need to sign up for an account if you want to use Amazon Video Direct to sell your videos.’ Upload Your Film: As mentioned above, make sure it’s in HD format. Trailer: Don’t forget to create and upload an HD trailer for your movie. Artwork: Amazon requires two posters in 16:9 and 3:4 ratio. You will also have to upload a 16:9 background image. Metadata: Provide detailed information, such as movie title, author, cast, producers, etc. Setup Payment and Banking Information: Amazon will pay royalties into your bank account automatically. Making Your Film Available on Amazon Prime Video Amazon Prime Video is a subscription-based service where members can watch unlimited content. What makes Prime different from other services is that it pays content creators and filmmakers per stream. Unlike Netflix, where you get a one-time licensing fee regardless of the success of your content, on Amazon Prime, the more views you get, the more money you make. To get your video onto Amazon Prime, you will need to deliver the video in ProRes 422 HQ format (what the professionals use). You can use Amazon Video Direct and select the option to make your video available on Prime. After you’ve uploaded your file, artwork, and trailer, Amazon will review your submission. Once your film is live on Amazon Prime, you need to promote it. One effective tactic that almost everyone is ignoring is to ask the cast and crew members to share it with their friends. Becoming a Bitcoin Millionaire

03:49
Get $10 of Bitcoin free when you buy Bitcoin here: http://ianbalina.com/sixfigures/coinbase Why Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Cryptocurrencies Could Make You a Millionaire? Bitcoin and Ethereum Millionaire Buying virtual currencies might seem like too much of a risk. But, if you think about it for a second, it’s one of the soundest investments you could make. Imagine if you had taken the risk and bought $100 worth of Bitcoin in 2011 at $0.33 per Bitcoin. Now it would be worth $399,600 at $1,200 per Bitcoin. While you can’t turn back time and, just like Christopher Koch, spend a few bucks on Bitcoin and wake up wealthy four years later, you can still make a lot of money investing in cryptocurrencies now. The Value of the US Dollar Is Depreciating Have you ever wonder why you just can’t seem to stretch your dollars enough anymore? The explanation is rather simple: the value of the US dollar is declining. Until 1914 the US dollar had a fixed value. For example, if you saved ten dollars in 1790, you could still buy the same amount of goods with your savings 100 years later. Nowadays, however, money seems to be worth less and less every year. In 1913, the United States introduced the Federal Reserve Banking system, the first step toward dissolving the gold standard. Until that moment, the dollar was backed by gold. So, for example, you could exchange a $20 bill for $20 worth of gold. The currency supply was tied to the gold supply. Because there was a limited amount of gold, there was a limited sum of money in the system, as well. As a result, the dollar was highly valuable because it had a real, tangible value backing it. However, starting on 1913, the dollar would only be partially backed by gold. As time went by, the paper money supply expanded faster than the country’s gold supply, and the US dollar quickly lost its value. The more money printed, the more worthless it became. And this trend continues. As the U.S. persistently destroys the value of the dollar by overprinting, foreign nations are losing confidence in the dollar and its role as a reserve currency. Global Enterprises Give Bitcoin and Ethereum Stamps of Approval One of the biggest companies in the world is betting on virtual currencies. IBM has announced a variety of partnerships and initiatives related to the blockchain. According to an IBM study, 15% of the banks surveyed plan to use blockchain by 2017 while 91% of them are already investing in blockchain for deposit-taking. Finance isn’t the only opportunity IBM sees with blockchain. The company believes that the technology could revolutionize the world. However, IBM isn’t the only big company interested in blockchain technology. Microsoft doubled down on Ethereum with a new blockchain product, the Ethereum Consortium Blockchain Network, a project that aims at helping industries work together to build increasingly complex consortia that would leverage the network effects of shared, immutable ledgers. Simply put, this consortium will allow groups of companies to deploy a private Ethereum Network with a single click. Virtual Currencies Could Be Replacements for Gold It might be hard to believe, but it’s a real possibility, considering that Bitcoin is now worth more than gold. For the first time, the price of one Bitcoin has surpassed the price of one ounce of gold. Most of the early adopters claimed that Bitcoin would eventually replace gold as the preferred alternative store of value. If it didn’t happen yet, it isn’t because Bitcoin lacks the capability to become the new “gold standard” but because it’s still rather complicated to invest in the cryptocurrency. Its volatile price is another factor that made it hard for Bitcoin to become a reliable alternative asset. But, now that one Bitcoin is worth more than one ounce of gold, it could be a sign that it could rival gold as a safe-haven. How to Travel the World for Free! (Hacking Travel)

31:20
How to travel the world for free, or by paying as little as possible, without being cheap. I know what you’re thinking. Here’s another guy on the Internet making a shocking claim that has no possible application in real life. I understand your skepticism completely. I was just like you a few years back: dreaming about traveling the world but thinking that’s impossible unless you have a trust fund. After all, “travel” and “free” aren’t the kind of words you usually use in the same sentence. But, here’s the thing: it’s entirely possible to book a trip to an exotic location like Belize and pay practically nothing for it. Well, sure, you might spend a few dollars here and there to get a massage or buy a cocktail to that cute Balinese girl or boy, but other than that, most of the expenses (if not all) will be paid for in advance. I’ve had the pleasure of traveling to places like Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Machu Picchu, and the Dominican Republic, and most of the times either my flight or hotel were for free. Sometimes even both. Don’t worry! You don’t have to be Rain Man to understand how to work with the existing rules set up by airlines, credit card companies, and hotels and use them to your advantage. Nor do you need access to an exclusive club that passes its secret knowledge from generation to generation. Although it sounds sexy and dangerous, travel hacking is relatively straightforward. So, how can you do it? I’ll tell you everything about it in this guide. So, make yourself comfortable, grab a pen and paper and start taking notes because you’ll want to remember these hacks. -------------------------------------------------------------- Table of Contents -------------------------------------------------------------- 0:00 Hacking Travel Intro 2:47 Credit Card Rewards 6:23 Leverage Your Job if You Travel a Lot 10:03 Manufactured Spending 16:00 Seasonal Bonuses 18:43 Business Expenses 23:00 Tax Records for Business Expenses 25:06 Airbnb -------------------------------------------------------------- Website: http://ianbalina.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/diaryofamademan/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/diaryofamademan Snapchat: https://www.snapchat.com/add/diaryofamademan Disclosures: https://ianbalina.com/pages/transparency

Earning Credit Card Rewards with Manufactured Spending

06:00
Don’t assume that credit card issuers offer you miles and bonus points for nothing. Each card comes with a minimum spending requirement that you must achieve before you can enjoy the benefits. Most of them usually require you to spend between $3,000 and $5,000 in the span of three months. You also need to take into account the annual fees. Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card, for instance, comes with a $450 annual fee that they charge immediately or on your first month’s bill. You need to make sure that you have the funds to pay it. Otherwise, you risk acquiring interest charges on your first bill, and that’s the last thing you want. Remember, the idea isn’t to spend extra money on scoring points but to hack the system and find ways to meet the spending requirements without incurring debt. That’s where manufactured spending can come in handy. Manufactured spending refers to the practice of purchasing cash equivalents, such as gift cards, money orders, and so on with rewards earning credit card. The goal is to earn miles or points for these purchases and then liquidate the funds and use them to pay the credit card. This strategy is usually used to meet minimum requirements or to achieve the flyer miles with a particular airline or hotel. Here are some of the most efficient manufactured spending methods: Pay Yourself with the Credit Card By far the best way to meet the minimum spending limit is to pay yourself with your credit card and then pay the card back. Here’s how it works: Use a platform like PayPal, Square or Venmo and email yourself an invoice to pay a bill. You can make the bill the entire amount of the minimum spending required or whatever you may need to hit the mark. Make sure to use a different email address instead of the one tied to your current account. Use your credit card to pay for the bill. After paying it, the money will go to your bank account, minus a 3% credit card transaction fee. Use the money from the bank account to pay for your credit card at the end of the month. By using this simple hack, you will pay just 3% of your minimum spending. In other words, a $5,000 minimum limit will only cost you $150. That’s a pretty great deal. For just $150 you can get a free roundtrip flight that would usually cost $1,000 or more. Use Your Credit Card to Pay for Big Purchases Don’t get the wrong idea. I’m not advising you to start spending money just so that you can meet the minimum limit. However, if it so happens to need a new computer or a new fridge around the time you’ve signed-up for a new credit card, use it to pay for this expense. You can also use your credit card to pay for your friend’s and family’s purchases and ask them to pay you back. For example, if a friend of yours plans to buy a new sofa, ask them to let you put that purchase on your credit card. Then, instead of paying the store, they’ll send the money to your credit card. Or, if you go out to dinner with your friends, pay the bill with your credit card and ask them to reimburse you. That way, you can take care of the minimum spending for your card for the cost of a steak at a nice restaurant. College Majors Don't Matter

07:19
Well, isn’t that ironic? Here I am after trying so hard to convince you about the importance of picking a college major early now claiming that it isn’t that important. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not saying college majors are useless. As I explained before, having a Bachelor’s degree will give you a competitive edge in this rough market. But keep in mind that employers hire people for their skills, not their degrees. In other words, you should focus primarily on learning skills that are related to your major. That’s not all. According to some interesting data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, only 27% of college graduates work jobs that are related to their degrees. The reasons behind this number are not very clear, but it could mean that many jobs don’t require a particular field of study. In fact, in 2010, only 62% of U.S. college graduates had a job that required a Bachelor’s degree. That only proves my point: skills matter more than diplomas, and they could be acquired in different ways. Blaze Your Own Path Regardless of where or what you choose to do for a living, keep this in mind: be self-directed and proactive. Understand that no matter how hard you work at your current job, most of the profits go to your boss’s pockets, not yours. Remember, 66% of millionaires are self-employed. You might think that it’s risky to start a business. Millionaires have a different perspective. They believe that it’s risky to work for someone else. The company could go bankrupt. You could get laid off, and so on. They want to be in control of their destiny, so they took the plunge. You should do the same. If you have a good idea, stop worrying and get in. You have everything you need at your fingertips. In this day and age, when information is so abundant, and you have access to an almost infinite stream of resources, building an idea is far easier than it was years ago. But, how can you decide what path to follow? Choose your industry strategically – focus on the financial part and look for areas of significant demand and small supply Build a strong work ethic – be self-disciplined and stay loyal to yourself Be disciplined with your money – be disciplined about your spending. Don’t throw money out the window just because you can afford it These tips will prove useful no matter what your plans are. Being strategic about your choices also means preparing with your goals in mind. A strong work ethic will help you pursue those goals and taking care of your money is never a bad idea. How Does Airbnb Work?

01:46
Full Guide on How to Make Money on Airbnb: http://ianbalina.com/how-to-make-money-renting-your-house-on-airbnb/ Airbnb is an online platform that provides alternative accommodation options. It also represents a way to make money for those who are open enough to accept strangers into their homes. Simply put, Airbnb connects helpless tourists in need of cheaper or more unique accommodation with hosts that offer anything from single rooms to fairy tale castles. However, both the host and the guest must be ready to accept paying a small fee. Airbnb is the largest player in this niche market. It’s active in over 190 countries and has over 60 million tourists as customers. The platform’s original motivation was to supply a way for people with spare spaces in their homes to make a use of their empty places in times when the accommodation in the city was insufficient for the number of travelers (during festivals or other major events) or when hotels were offering overpriced services. Nowadays, Airbnb has become a top choice for all types of travelers, from short breaks tourists and backpackers to business people that are looking for an authentic experience. What is Crowd Funding?

02:49
If you’ve ever run a small business, then you know the financial effort it requires to stay afloat. That’s where crowdfunding can give entrepreneurs a helping hand. Simply put, crowdfunding is the practice of funding a business or cause by raising small amounts of money from a large number of people typically via the internet. By leveraging the power of social media and crowdfunding websites such as Kickstarter, Go Fund Me, and Angel List entrepreneurs scan expand the pool of investors from which they raise capital beyond the traditional venture capitalists and angel investors. So, for example, if you have an idea for a product, let’s say an app that scans the ingredients in your fridge and gives you recipe ideas, then you can go to a crowdfunding website and pitch your idea. Promote it and hope that people will be interested enough to invest and help you get the funds you need. You can promise investors free access to the app or other special deals. IPOs vs. Crowdfunding Let’s imagine that you have a $100 to $1,000 and would like to invest them. Should you invest in an IPO or invest in a crowdfunding deal? The answer isn’t that simple. In the United States, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) restricts investments in companies before an IPO to only Accredited or Sophisticated investors. The reason is understandable: most of these investments come with a risk, and people don’t have the necessary financial background to make educated decisions. So, only individuals making more than $200k a year for at least two years or having a net worth of a least $1 million can invest in companies before they go public. Things have changed. Back in 2012, President Obama signed the Jump-Start Our Business Start-Ups Act (or the JOBS Act) which allows small businesses to advertise shares for sale to anyone, regardless of their income. The Act was pretty straightforward, but it took the SEC more than four years to put it into practice. They were concerned about protecting people from scammers, bad investment ideas or their poor judgment. The new rule allows people to invest between $2,000 and $100,000 a year in crowdfunding projects. So, if you’ve ever dreamt of playing real life “Shark” like in the hit show “Shark Tank,” you now have the opportunity to do it, but with some limitations. http://ianbalina.com/hacking-venture-capital-making-millions-initial-coin-offerings-icos Website: http://ianbalina.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/diaryofamademan/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/diaryofamademan Snapchat: https://www.snapchat.com/add/diaryofamademan Disclosures: https://ianbalina.com/pages/transparency

How to Change Jobs Inside Your Company

08:57
Once you get a full-time job, now the fun can start. You may enter a company in a junior position, but as your skills and experience improve, you should aim higher. It is well known that some divisions pay better than others. So, keep your eyes out for job openings in your company and let your manager know you are interested in them. Switching to a more profitable division is one of the easiest ways to increase your salary. If you don’t know how to find or apply to jobs in upward trending divisions, keep these tips in mind: Check Your Company’s Annual 10-K Report The 10-k report is an annual document required by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that offers an exhaustive summary of a company’s financial performance. It’s different than the annual report shared with stakeholders in that it presents an in-depth analysis of the company’s economic activity during a particular fiscal year. It also includes a full recap of market performance, risks, corporate agreements, and so on. Although this is public information, some of the information in this report is not advertised or promoted to internal employees unless they are curious enough to go looking for it. This document will help you understand where your company is headed, which divisions are trending upward and which ones will get de-emphasized or even laid off. Although this applies to public companies, some private companies with more than 500 stock option holders may also have to publicly file this report. Also, some private companies have to file other financial related forms with the SEC, that can be vital to you finding out the true direction of your company. How Do You Find the Annual 10-K Report? If you want to find your company’s annual 10-K report, you need to use one of the following methods: Search for it on Google by typing “your company’s name” + 10-K report OR Search the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s website here. Switch Jobs Every Two Years After you’ve determined the most profitable divisions in your company, it’s time to switch roles (or even careers.) Gone are the days when changing jobs every couple of years was considered a problematic behavior. Unlike our parents, most of whom probably worked in the same field for the duration of their career, millennials are far more likely to switch jobs – if not careers – in their lifetime. And, that’s a good thing. Recent studies have shown that workers who stay with a company longer than two years get paid 50% less. So, you have all the reasons to keep moving forward. Remember: getting too comfortable with your job is dangerous. During my career progression, I joined IBM after only two months with Deloitte Consulting. I received a $7,000 bump in salary. I have been with IBM for almost four years, and have held four different roles during that time. In each new role, I earned more money. Two of the role changes were due to organizational changes, one was me graduating from IBM’s Summit Program (training) and only one was initiated by me. I requested to transfer from technical sales (sales engineer) to a full sales role (account executive), due to the higher commission checks they could receive. It was a gamble that has paid off, high-risk high-reward. Wanchain ICO Review - Global Financial Platform

18:26
In this video, I review the upcoming initial coin offering for Wanchain, which I like to call the Chinese Ripple. I am very bullish on this ICO and score it a 100% on version 1 of my spreadsheet. This is the best ICO in the next month in my opinion (not financial advice). https://wanchain.org/ Wanchain implements cross-chain transfers of assets by setting up connections between the accounts of different blockchains and providing a framework for financial applications based on digital currency and digital assets. Wanchain is not just a cross-chain platform, performing cross chain transactions and interconnections between multiple assets, it is also a blockchain network that can operate independently. It includes native coins, supports intelligent contracts and owns the privacy protection mechanism for transactions. Anyone can develop financial applications that satisfy their needs on Wanchain by following the application guidelines.
