China's rare earth monopoly

03:41
Rare earth metals are a collection of 17 chemical elements that are key to the production of a long list of modern-day technologies. Despite their name, the elements are relatively plentiful in the earth's crust. However, because of their geochemical properties, the elements are not often found in concentrated forms that are economically viable to extract. Mining them is not only complex but costly, so many countries are cautious. China produces more than 95 per cent of the elements for the world's technology industry. The rest is supplied by the US, Estonia, India, Malaysia and Brazil. That may change, however, as demand for rare-earth metals rises for use in products such as smartphones, electric and hybrid cars, common computer monitors and televisions. Al Jazeera's Melissa Chan, reporting from Baotou in China, examines the importance of these elements.

National Security, Rare Earth Elements & The Thorium Problem

23:00
"The only operating rare earth mine in the United States sends all of their valuable resources to China for processing. Congress does not know this. They think this [mining] company is supplying the U.S. value chain, [and] is supplying the military. It is in-fact, the opposite. They are part of the Chinese monopoly. They're shipping rare earth concentrates and oxides to China, and it comes back as a magnet, or an alloy, or a bolt-on component." - Jim Kennedy Latest News: https://foreignpolicy.com/2019/05/21/china-raises-threat-of-rare-earth-mineral-cutoff-to-us/ The White House must take direct action under the authority of the Defense Protection Act and establish a domestic and fully integrated rare earth cooperative. Why can't Molycorp, Lynas or any other 'western' rare earth company succeed? China's production and market advantage in Rare Earth Elements (REE) is largely the result of NRC and IAEA "Source Material" regulations with unintended consequences. Source Material: Materials containing any ratio or combination of Thorium and Uranium above .05%. Producing or holding these materials within the regulatory threshold (.05%) requires extensive and wide-ranging licensing, storage, transportation, remediation disposal and compliance costs, including prohibitive liability and bonding issues. Consequently any potential supplier of byproduct / co-product rare earth resources that would be designated as "source material' disposes of these valuable resources to avoid liability and compliance issues. NRC / IAEA regulations regarding "Source Material" played a key roll in undermining the economic viability of all 'western' rare earth producers and are a critical factor in China's current 'market advantage'. Producers like Molycorp and Lynas, with low Thorium deposits, can never compete with China. Resources are abundant and available: U.S mining companies currently mine as much as 50% of global Rare Earth Elements demand every year. But these resources are diverted in tailings lakes or are redistributed back into the host ore body, due to NRC and IAEA regulations defining Monazite and other Thorium bearing rare earth resources as "Source Material". To solve "The Thorium Problem" requires a federally chartered multinational Thorium Energy and Industrial Products Corporation ("Thorium Bank"). Privately funded and operated, this would decouple thorium from rare earth production. The Thorium Corporation would also have Congressional Authority to develop Thorium energy systems and industrial products. Environmental regulations are not scaled back... rather this enables thorium to be stored safely & securely, rather then being treated as "waste". This also addresses the U.S. Weapons Systems current 100% Dependency on China for Rare Earths. http://thoriumenergyalliance.com/downloads/TEAC6/USWeaponsChinese.pdf Federal Legislation governing Strategic Materials, 10 USC 2533b, does not specify rare earths, but includes metal alloys containing limited amounts of manganese, silicon, copper, or aluminum, chromium, cobalt, columbium, molybdenum, nickel, titanium, tungsten, vanadium, nickel and iron-nickel, cobalt, Titanium and Zirconium alloys. Federal Regulations require that these materials be melted in the U.S. Most of these materials are utilized in rare earth alloys, magnets and components in the defense industry. We do NOT need to reclassify thorium. We do NOT need to weaken current environmental protection. Resolve "The Thorium Problem" which cripples United States domestic rare earth mining, processing and value-adding processes. Rare earth elements: Simple commodity or strategic vulnerability?

01:10:49
Rare earths are a group of 17 elements with unique chemical, magnetic and luminescent properties crucial for the functioning of much of today’s high technology equipment, including MRIs, lap-top computers, hybrid vehicles and LEDs. They also have important applications in the defence industry. China is the dominant supplier of rare earth elements (REEs), meeting at least 85% of global demand. In 2010, REEs were splashed across the front pages of newspapers when it significantly reduced rare earth export quotas and temporarily suspended their shipment to Japan. Consumers quickly recognised that diversity of reliable supply is just as important as price and quality, and there is a concerted effort to replace, reduce and recycle REEs. So are REEs best understood as simple commodities, or as strategic resources that can be used as tools of statecraft? And can Australia play a part in the development of alternative reliable sources of rare earths? To help understand the strategic importance of REEs the National Security College and Crawford School of Public Policy welcome two global experts in the field.

The expansion of electric vehicles (EVs) market share in the automotive space will create major tailwinds for rare earth minerals, and there are plenty of ways investors can take part, said Chris Berry, president of House Mountain Partners. “If you’re still of the belief that there’s going to be ten of 15% EV penetration out of the next ten to 15 years, obviously rare earths are going to be a part of that whole battery metals thesis,” Berry told Kitco News on the sidelines of the 121 Mining Investment Conference in New York. _________________________________________________________________ Kitco News is the world’s #1 source of metals market information. Identified as important metals in the production of high-tech electronics and most often used in industrial processes such as electric cars or renewable energy solutions, demand for minerals such as cobalt, neodymium or tungsten is expected to take off and rising prices should follow. While car and renewable energy fleets continue to expand, with electric car sales estimated figures given at 1.1 million units for 2017 and to reach up to 30 million by 2030, it seems clear that the increasing scarcity value of rare earth metals could well become reality in the medium term. Nuclear Disasters & Coolants

01:00:20
What happened at Three Mile Island, Chernobyl and Fukushima? What role did water coolant play in each one? Why do we use water as a coolant, given it has a liquid range of only 100 degrees Celsius? Today's reactors, which are cooled by pressurized water, were viewed as a stop-gap technology until "breeder reactors" could be commercially deployed. Breeder reactors convert fertile material (such as Thorium) into fissile material (such as Uranium-233). It is not practical to operate a breeder reactor with water coolant, so a new coolant must be chosen. We examine two coolant options (from a field of many): liquid salt, and liquid sodium. What advantages do each have over water? Is one safer than the other? News: US Braces For Chinese Retaliation: Scrambles To Find Alternative Rare-Earth Supplier

THE THORIUM PROBLEM - Manufacturing & energy sector hobbled by thorium

29:01
Thorium, Rare Earth Elements [REE] and Molten Salt Reactors [MSR] covered in brand-new book by Victoria Bruce! https://www.amazon.com/Sellout-Washington-Americas-Technological-Fight-ebook/dp/B06WVPDF5N/ John Kutsch of Thorium Energy Alliance and Jim Kennedy of ThREE Consulting review the hazards maintaining U.S. current thorium policy. Heavy Rare Earth Element mining is impeded. Energy sector innovation is stifled. Thorium is less dangerous, less radioactive, and less easily metabolized than many elements we are exposed to on a daily basis. Current regulation assists China's capture of high-tech manufacturing sector. Current regulation protects incumbent U.S. [light] rare earth producers who DISPOSE of thorium and valuable heavy rare earths in tailing ponds. Current regulation does NOT facilitate growth of U.S. economy. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle recognize reform is needed. No one is willing to introduce legislation to address the thorium problem. China continues to capture high-tech manufacturing jobs. U.S. private corporations are unable to pursue thorium an an energy resource. THE THORIUM PROBLEM was delivered at SME - Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration on Feb 20th 2012 [2012-02-20] in Seattle.

Rare earth stocks soar after China warns of possible US export ban Published: 29 May 2019 | 07:59 GMT 173 Stocks of rare earth miners surged during morning trade on Wednesday after Chinese state-linked media said that Beijing may weaponize the exports of the vital materials amid an escalating trade war with the US. Hong Kong-listed shares of China Rare Earth Holdings Ltd skyrocketed around 40 percent after the opening bell before slightly falling back later in the day.  At the same time JL Mag Rare-Earth Co, the plant Chinese President Xi Jinping visited last week, jumped more than 10 percent. The miner's stock has been rising for several consecutive trading sessions and hit a record high on Wednesday. Other rare earth-related companies also enjoyed gains, with China Northern Rare Earth Group High-Tech Co. soaring around 9 percent Xiamen Tungsten Co. climbing nearly 5 percent. Kenny on the coming global rare earth supply crisis

07:36
June 5, 2015 — In an InvestorIntel interview, Publisher Tracy Weslosky speaks with James Kenny, Director and CEO of Frontier Rare Earths Ltd. (TSX: FRO | OTCQX: FREFF), about how the rare earth industry is sleepwalking towards a supply crisis in the backend of this decade. James discusses the current state of supply as being unlikely to last, and the cost effective advantage in Frontier’s latest technical innovations in separation technology. Tracy Weslosky: James you're such a knowledgeable individual about the rare earth sector in general, which is a very competitive and challenging sector to be in. Can you tell us what you think is happening in the industry right now? James Kenny: Well, my thought is perhaps one not necessarily shared by others, but I think that industry in general is sleepwalking its way into another rare earth supply crisis. My observation, and I said these are my own personal opinions, is that many of the large users, major industrial corporations in North America, in Europe and in Asia believe the rare earth problem is over. They believe that because prices have come down, because the warehouses are full and because the purchasing manager says there doesn't appear to be shortage in supply. When we go back to maybe the peaks that we saw in 2011, late 2010 and 2011, nobody was talking about the supply shortage at that time. I don't believe there's any supply shortage in 2015. There wasn't one in 2014. There won't be one in 2016.The supply shortage is coming in the backend of this decade. I think that industry does not understand the mining lifecycle and the length of time it takes to put a viable project into commercial production. I believe there is a risk that they will realize that too late and before the end of this decade we will see a supply and price shock just like we saw 2 or 3 years ago. Tracy Weslosky: So, in keeping with this, are there any innovative metallurgical extraction processes? I mean, there has been a lot of conversation on InvestorIntel about this. Maybe you can tell us what you think. James Kenny: Yes, I have to say I'm a little bit cautious when I hear about technological breakthroughs in the rare earth sector and breakthroughs which do not come from China, who are clearly the market leader in every respect. The thing about technology is on the one hand it may sound very attractive and positive, but in rare earths you may not want to be the first…to hear the rest of interview, click here. PDAC President Glenn Mullan on Lithium, Cobalt and Rare Earths

08:07
February 28, 2018 -- “So there is no reason to think that lithium, cobalt and some of the rare earths will not enjoy that kind of prosperity right now….” states Glenn Mullan, President of PDAC in an interview with InvestorIntel’s Peter Clausi. Peter Clausi: I love this time of year. It is the week before PDAC, the mining show also known as Mardi Gras in Sudbury, the greatest show on earth. You must be shoulders deep into it right now. Glenn Mullan: Yeah, no. I love this time of year too. I will take it one step further. I look at it like a family barbeque. The family barbeque brings mean Uncle Bob so there is the people that you do not want to see. By and large, out of the 25,000 or more people that will be there it has just got a buzz. It is fun. PDAC really is all about networking. It begins early, ends late. There is lots of diversions and catalysts and really it is just all about networking and business. It is fabulous. Peter Clausi: Last year one of the big announcements was the continuation of a flow through mining credit. Are we expecting to hear anything from the federal government this year? Glenn Mullan: That is always a walk on egg shells process for the PDAC. At best our intelligence tells us that we could be looking at a renewal. Mind you, we have been through this process for, I think it is 17 straight years with annual increments, never more than a year at a time. We have been pushing hard to try and get a 3-year renewal. That would allow for better stability financial planning by a lot of our junior members in particular. Right now the intelligence is just indicating that we should be having an announcement from Ministry of Finance during the convention. No guidance on what that may be so same as last year, walking into it blind. Peter Clausi: I just got back from New York where we were doing a round of roadshows for cobalt assets in Canada. Cobalt in Canada is extremely hot globally right now and PDAC is mentioned everywhere I go. About half of the people I met with are coming up for the show. Glenn Mullan: Fantastic. There is always a hot commodity. It is kind of like mocha java versus vanilla. You pick your flavor, sometimes they are very temporal, and they do not last. Sometimes it is the beginning of a cycle that is sustainable. With the clean technology and cleantech and the green aspects to a lot of our initiatives and the minerals industry it is probably looking like this is going to be one of the sustainable periods of time where we look at exploration changing focus, kind of, like the beginning of uranium back in the 1950s and ‘60s. That lasted for decades so there is no reason to think that lithium, cobalt and some of the rare earths will not enjoy that kind of prosperity right now. Peter Clausi: You think uranium is going to have a good year? To access the complete interview, click here

Thorium 2017

34:00
Thorium is an abundant material currently disposed of as waste. It is found in coal ash piles and mine tailings. A single Rare Earths mine could produce enough Thorium byproduct to power the entire planet. To do so requires a very different nuclear reactor than the kinds we use today. Not one that uses solid fuel rods, but a reactor in which the fuel is kept in a liquid state. Not one that uses pressurized water as a coolant, but a reactor that uses extremely stable molten salts. The full description of one such reactor is: 2-Fluid, Thermal-Spectrum, Molten-Salt Breeder Reactor equipped with a chemical fuel salt treatment module. Such a reactor was conceived of decades ago, as documented in the book "Fluid Fuel Reactors" [1958]. Or, simply "LFTR" (Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactor) as proposed by Flibe Energy's Kirk Sorensen... a modern redesign of the 2-Fluid, thermal-spectrum, MSBR concept. http://Flibe-Energy.com/ Since 2011 (the year Flibe Energy was founded), legislators asking questions about Thorium have had their queries answered as if such a reactor design did not exist. NNL [UK] and OECD [NEA] reports on the Thorium Fuel Cycle did not explore the implications of this reactor, and dismiss thorium based on challenges and mediocre performance found in other reactor designs. For example, other options include a "Fast-Spectrum Molten-Salt Reactor". Worth pursuing, certainly, but requires more fissile inventory than LFTR... approximately 5x as much. (Fissile inventory is specifically mentioned as a concern by OECD's thorium report.) And assuming the challenges of a fast-spectrum MSR can be met... both natural Uranium and natural Thorium can both be fully consumed as fuel in a fast-spectrum reactor. That is where Thorium is dismissed as only "4x as common as Uranium" (fast-spectrum usage) rather than "400x as common as U-235" (thermal-spectrum usage). Thorium's advantages: both thermal-spectrum breeding and unique chemical properties, are taken full advantage of only by LFTR style reactors. When evaluated in any other reactor, depending on that reactor, Uranium can be as attractive, more attractive, or Uranium can be the only viable option. For example: Shippingport. Cited as an example of a "Thorium Reactor" by Dr. Lyons, it was NEVER intended to be economical, and features no advantages of LFTR. It was a solid-fuel reactor, and so operated at low-temperature, had no on-line chemical reprocessing, used high-pressure water coolant, used fuel as inefficiently as every other solid-fuel reactor, and had to be shut down every time it was refueled. 2 of its 3 fuel loads were Enriched Uranium. It was -a- Reactor capable of consuming Thorium and demonstrated only that it was possible... it was not -THE- Thorium Reactor. If you'd like to watch a mini-series length (6.5h) documentary on this topic, please check out "Thorium." https://youtu.be/2oK6Rs6yFsM ...it goes into some technical detail on Thorium and Molten Salt Reactors, as well as nuclear power itself. Mkango Resources CEO hails Songwe pre-feasibility study

CEO Clips: Gary Cope | Barsele Minerals | This Company Could Have a World Class Deposit

01:31
Gary Cope, President of Barsele Minerals explains the joint venture project with Agnico Eagle in Sweden. Barsele is a gold project in Northern Sweden operated by Agnico Eagle, and the resource is growing leaps and bounds. It’s currently 55-45 with Agnico holding the 55%. They can earn up to 70% by delivering a prefeasibility statement. Agnico Eagle is a very prominent senior gold producer, very successful company with a market cap in excess of $10 billion. Barsele is an interesting project. It has two types of mineralization. The main focus of Agnico is the Gold Zone. It's expanding in three or four different directions right now. There is a new resource coming out in February, but also there is a massive sulfide component, which they are also starting to drill some exploration holes into and we are very, very interested to see the results of that. You can't get a better place to find a mine. The infrastructure there is as good as it gets. You got eight hydroelectric projects within half hour of the project. You've got power lines going through the middle of the project. You've got a highway right to the edge of the project. You've got a rail line that goes right beside the project to the smelter on the East Coast. And you have all these incentives from the Swedish Government to bring a mine into production. This project is starting to look like it could turn into a world class deposit. If it keeps growing the way it is, it will turn into a world class deposit, with a world class operator. Fiscal Cliff Bill Sparks Inflationary Rally Into Industrial Metals and Out Of U.S. Treasuries

05:10
http://goldstocktrades.com/blog We observe the markets rallying following the conciliatory agreement which came out of Washington at literally the final hour. The S&P 500 gapped higher but was outpaced by the industrial metals led by uranium and copper. This may be highlighting the transfer of cheap fiat capital from the West to the emerging Asian nations which have been outperforming the S&P500. Over the past 6 months Chinese markets are up 18%. China has started construction on next generation nuclear reactors and may announce further infrastructure initiatives which could boost demand for these oversold and under loved miners bouncing off multi year lows. Particular attention must be paid to the rare earth and lithium miners as well as countries may be factoring in peak oil and must increase the use of cleaner and alternative energy sources for the next century. Even Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are looking to diversify their energy base and are investing in alternative energy sources and are planing to build nuclear power plants. The Canadian Venture which is composed of early stage explorers may be forming a double bottom and is on the verge of breaking a major two year downtrend. Most consolidations last an average of 18 months and now we are headed into the 23rd month. The general rule is that the deeper the base the larger the eventual upswing. The Venture is the lifeblood for the finding and developing of new assets which are growing increasingly in demand. Watch for a breakout above the 50 day moving average. The silver miners have broken above the 50 day moving average and outperformed the gold miners as the industrial component may give it an advantage in a potential inflationary cycle. The cycle may be accelerated by the breakdown in U.S. treasuries as investors may begin exiting from a crowded trade. The treasuries are being hit hard and appear to be turning over failing at its 50 day moving average.

Saudi Arabia Launches Land-Mine Clearing Project In Yemen

01:01
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) announced on Monday the Saudi project for land mine clearance to rid the country of some 800,000 mines at a cost of US$40 million. Adviser at the Royal Court and KSRelief Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah announced that the one-year five-phase project would be implemented in association with the Yemen National Program for Landmines Clearance.
Thorium Reactors: A letter to my state Representative

02:38
I'm an electrical engineer with a life-long interest in finding alternative, replenishable forms of energy. I wanted to bring to your attention to THORIUM reactors. You may have never heard of this super-dense type of nuclear energy, derived from rare-earth mining. Thorium is considered a 'waste' product of rare- earth mining, but what you may not know is that Thorium is incredibly safe and so energy 'dense' that a pound of it would run an American household for a few years. It's abundant and also easy to procure and refine. In fact, a car has been built as a proof of concept which runs purely on this element. A few GRAMS will fuel this car for a century. The reactors were designed and built in the 1960's and were about to come online. The byproduct is not highly radioactive, CANNOT become unstable, and is safe for the environment. In fact, the reactor design is such that it will NOT allow a run-away reaction. If the reactor fails, the nuclear reaction simply STOPS. No backup systems are required and the reactors themselves are a fraction of size and cost compared to what is used today. Thorium is abundant and found just about anywhere you can dig, but is most plentiful in these rare-earth mines. Imagine a tiny reactor AT each household, or a small reactor at power stations producing safe, room temperature, and plentiful nuclear energy. Simply searching google for 'Thorium Reactors' will provide a wealth of information. So, why are we still using prehistoric and extremely dangerous traditional reactors? Power companies could drastically reduce the cost of power, while at the same time saving so much money that their bottom lines would actually increase. Better power, safer power, abundant power .. a win-win-win for everyone involved. Would you kindly look into this technology, perfected in the 60's, as a possible solution for the future? It can start with one reactor, and as a bonus, bring rare-earth mining operations BACK to the USA. China currently supplies 95% of the world's rare-earth element mining operations. Re-establishing those mining operations here would bring manufacturing facilities back to our soil while at the same time producing the very element needed for clean and safe nuclear power. I'd love to hear back from you about this topic, know what I can do to increase awareness of this type of reactor, and would be willing to provide you with more information. From a citizen of your district...

Media Giant CNET Selfies While Faking Fukushima Reactor 3 Fuel Pools

01:03:50
Whats next selfies inside of Chernobyl They are faking the MOX FUEL Reactor 3 fuel pool ( Full of decades of reactor cores that melted down ) in Fukushima again . It is bizarre how the alternative media can not say its wrong . Gee I wonder Is it now ok for media to disarm humanity by faking a melted nuclear reactor that threatens earths 8 million species very existence like David Suzuki had said about reactor 4 ?? Well CNET is claiming they took pictures of reactor 3 fuel pools at the top of a building that is gone because it you know exploded . They have published pictures and videos of a intact fuel pool that actually does not exist and are claiming they are on top of a building, but that would be a lethal does to any human . . By the way Fukushima reactor are each 100 times more powerful than the ones at Chernobyl . Does media get a free pass for being dangerous and evil like this or is the human experience now a coward society ? Will history record this video as the only descending voice again , I know where I would bet my money and its not on me . Out of the Fiery Furnace - Episode 7 - The Age of Metals Can It Last

58:25
From the Stone Age to the era of the silicon chip — metals and minerals have marked the milestones of our civilization. OUT OF THE FIERY FURNACE traces the story of civilization through the exploitation of metals, minerals and energy resources. Renowned radio and BBC television commentator Michael Charlton hosts seven, one-hour programs filmed in more than 50 different parts of the world. This very unusual public television series combines the disciplines of history, science, archeology and economics in order to explore the relationship between technology and society. The final episode in this series explores modern metal and energy resources, including the environmental destruction that comes as a result of our mining. Are there enough metals left on earth for all who need them? Where will we find energy sources in the years to come? New methods of energy and metal exploration are discussed with emphasis on the discovery of mineral reserves in Asia, which has produced yet another shift in world civilization, this time to the Pacific Basin. (60 minutes) VHS Cover: http://imgur.com/XVIHau7 Disclaimer: This video series, produced in 1986 by Opus Films is shown here for Educational Purposes. It includes footage of cultures in India, China, Near East, etc. and ancient methods of manufacturing metals. It is hoped that this information is useful for archival and educational purposes to viewers all across the world. The video is provided here under the Fair Use policy.
Is Tesla actually sustainable?

06:28
In this Our Changing Climate environmental video essay, I look at whether Tesla cars are actually sustainable. Specifically, I dig into the environmental impact of the life cycle of Tesla's electric cars. Elon Musk's Tesla models like the Model 3 or Model X initially have a higher environmental impact than gas-powered cars but seem to be more sustainable in the long run. The game was released worldwide in August 2016. The gameplay of No Man's Sky is built on four pillars: exploration, survival, combat, and trading. Players are free to perform within the entirety of a procedurally generated deterministic open universe, which includes over 18 quintillion (1.8×1019) planets, many with their own sets of flora and fauna. Players participate in a shared universe, with the ability to exchange planet information with other players, though the game is also fully playable offline; this is enabled by the procedural generation system that assures players find the same planet with the same features, lifeforms, and other aspects once given the planet coordinates, requiring no further data to be stored or retrieved from game servers. Nearly all elements of the game are procedurally generated, including star systems, planets and their ecosystems, flora, fauna and their behavioural patterns, artificial structures, and alien factions and their spacecraft. The founder of Hello Games, Sean Murray, had wanted to create a game that captured the sense of exploration and optimism of science fiction writings and art of the 1970s and 1980s with No Man's Sky. The title was developed over three years by a small team at Hello Games with promotional and publishing help from Sony Interactive Entertainment. The British band 65daysofstatic assisted in developing the game's music, with sound designer Paul Weir developing systems to procedurally generate the soundtrack. Significant attention and expectations were given to the title in the months leading to its release, leading Murray and some journalists to recommend caution due to the indie nature and niche appeal of the title, seeking to avoid the pitfalls that had previously occurred at the launch of Spore in 2008. At release, the game received a wide range of mixed reviews, praising the technical achievements of the procedurally-generated universe, while considering the gameplay lackluster and repetitive. No Man's Sky also suffered several technical problems at launch, while lacking several marketed features, including a multiplayer element, that further marred the players' experience with the game. INTRODUCING UPDATE 1.1 Welcome to the Foundation Update. It adds the foundations of base building, and is a foundation for things to come. This is the first of many free updates. GAME MODES Normal mode is the original chilled exploration experience Creative mode allows players to explore the universe without limits, and build a huge base Survival mode really changes the game, creating a much more challenging endurance experience BASE BUILDING Claim your home planet by finding an uninhabited base and creating your own, fully bespoke outpost. Construct your homestead for shelter, using modular structures and decorations, replicated from resources gathered while exploring FARMING Cultivate biome dependent crops outdoors, or inside your base or Freighter using Hydroponic Labs MAKING CAMP Players can now build essential equipment in the field on-planet FREIGHTERS Purchase huge interstellar Freighters at great expense, and then summon them from anywhere in the galaxy Use the new recruitment system to crew your Freighter with Engineer, Farmer, Weapons and Science specialists to help research new technologies NEW RESOURCES & TECHNOLOGY Discover new biome and star specific resource types as you explore the universe Craft the new Advanced Mining Laser and Hazmat gauntlets through base building and use them to gather rare resources USER INTERFACE The user interface has been improved to accommodate the stress of Survival Mode where a small inconvenience can be the difference between life and death. #nomanssky #geknipgang
