Bitcoin Cash: Step By Step Guide To Claim Your Free BCC / BCH

15:57
Note: You can still get your Bitcoin Cash AFTER 8-1-17 if the following are the case: 1) You owned Bitcoin in a Bitcoin wallet on 8-1-17 when the Bitcoin Cash fork occurred 2) You have access to the private keys that correspond to that Bitcoin address If that’s the case, congrats – you can get Free Bitcoin Cash! Look for your wallet below to see the process of exporting your private keys. If you run into issues, post a comment below and I’ll try to help. SECTION 1: EXPORTING YOUR LEGACY BITCOIN PRIVATE KEYS FROM A BITCOIN ELECTRUM WALLET: To export your private key from an Electrum Bitcoin wallet and import into the Bitcoin ABC Bitcoin Cash wallet, see the example in the video. The simple text version for Electrum is to go to Wallet - Private Keys - Export and it will dump your private keys into a csv file. Just copy the private key that corresponds to the Bitcoin address which has your balance. Then go to Section 2 below. FROM A BITCOIN QT WALLET: If you have a Bitcoin QT wallet you need to export your Private Key and Import it into the Bitcoin ABC QT wallet. The Bitcoin ABC QT wallet is currently working fine - I can see my Bitcoin Cash balance, however no exchanges are accepting deposits yet so you just have to wait. At lease while we're waiting BCH is going up! I digress. To export your private key from a Bitcoin QT wallet, you need to go into the Console to do it. Follow these steps under your Original Bitcoin QT wallet: Go to Help - Debug Window - Console tab, then type these commands to show your private key - (no parens needed in the command itself, just the value): walletpassphrase (yourfullpassword) 6000 dumpprivkey (your original BTCaddress that held BTC at the time of the fork) The walletpassphrase command unlocks your wallet for the number of seconds you provide - here 10 mins in my example, so you can then get your key. The dumpprivatekey command will show your private key that corresponds to your Bitcoin address. Copy it and go to Section 2. FROM AN ARMORY BITCOIN WALLET: In your Bitcoin Armory wallet your private key can be found by double-clicking your wallet in the Armory main window, click “Backup this wallet”, then select “Export Key Lists” and click the button of the same name. Verify your password, and you’ll be presented with your private key in different encodings. You can remove all checkboxes, except “Private Key (Plain Base58)”. Check the “Omit spaces in key data” box. Now select the key string and copy it and then go to Section 2. FROM AN EXODUS BITCOIN WALLET: On Exodus you need to Choose Developer - Assets - Bitcoin - Export Private Keys… Your private keys will be exported to a folder on your Desktop titled “exodus-exports” Open that file and find your BTC address, select the corresponding private key, copy it and then go to Section 2. FROM A BLOCKCHAIN.INFO BITCOIN WALLET: If your wallet is on Blockchain.info, login and then go to Settings - Addresses on the left. Then find your BTC address and click on More Options, then Private Keys. Validate your password as prompted and when the private key is provided, copy it and go to Section 2. SECTION 2: IMPORTING YOUR LEGACY BITCOIN PRIVATE KEYS Follow these steps to Import your Private Keys into your Bitcoin Cash Wallet: Then to import your private key into your BCH wallet, you need to first download and sync the wallet from BitcoinABC.org. Note, this took me almost 40 hours. Once sync'ed you can follow the steps I show in this video guide or follow the text version below First, as with anything in this space - turn your encryption on under Settings. Then go to Help - Debug Window - Console tab, then type these commands to Import private key into your Bitcoin ABC wallet. walletpassphrase (yourfullpassword) 6000 importprivkey (yourBTCprivatekey) Again, the walletpassphrase command unlocks your wallet for the number of seconds you provide - here 10 mins in my example, so you can then get your key. The importprivkey command will import private key that corresponds to your Bitcoin address. The blockchain will rescan all the transactions for your address and then when it's done you will see your Bitcoin Cash balance in your Bitcoin ABC wallet dashboard. Congratulations, you just got your Free Bitcoin Cash! AFTER CLAIMING YOUR BITCOIN CASH: Before you import your private key and your Bitcoin Cash is showing, transact in the following order to be safe: 1) Move your original BTC from your address to another address and never use that original address on the original chain again 2) Leave your Bitcoin Cash at your original address until sending transactions safely is confirmed/mining running okay/exchanges open up BCH deposits, etc. To your crypto success! It’s the private address that you want to keep from exposing to potential hackers by keeping your computer offline while this is being displayed because it is the private key that allows you to withdraw the funds. Print out this page, make a copy just in case, or write it down, both the public and private keys or addresses and store somewhere very safe. Now when you are ready to move your bitcoin or you want to cash out, you can do this by creating a free account with blockchain.info. All you need is an email and password. Once you are signed up they will send you an email with your wallet ID, now this is very important because you’ll need this ID to log into this account. With your brand new account you’ll need to go to the settings menu and under the security options be sure to back up your account with the wallet recovery phrase. This will allow you to still gain access to your funds even if you forget your password. Once you’ve written down your recovery phrase store this in a safe place much like you would your private key for your paper wallet. How you import your paper wallet onto your blockchain.info account. Go to Settings and then select the addresses option. Here you can Import addresses. Now pay attention. In order to import your paper wallet you’ll need to type in the PRIVATE address of your paper wallet. It is for this reason that I highly suggest that you take out all coins from the paper wallet as the private key has essentially been compromised. Even if you want to continue storing some of your bitcoin on a paper wallet, just create a new paper wallet and store them there. Discontinue use of any paper wallet that has had it’s private key used anywhere on the internet. You can do so by getting your blockchain.info wallet address by selecting the “receive” option here, copy the address and then go to the “send” option and select the wallet you’d like to send coins from, and paste the address of the blockchain.info wallet. So you will have effectively imported your paper wallet and transferred all of your funds out of that paper wallet address and onto your blockchain.info wallet, the same wallet that is now backed up with your recovery phrase. Congratulations! Whenever you want to send coins from one wallet to another, this includes exchanges, since the coins you have on an exchange are in a wallet on that exchange… you’ll need to follow this general protocol. Three very important tips for anyone new to transferring their crypto: First, be sure the wallet you are sending your coins to is appropriate for the coins you are sending, you cannot send ethereum into a bitcoin address, or pivx to a Monero address, or steem to a steem backed dollar address. If you do this your coins will be lost. Second, be sure you input the correct address into the recipient field. I know most crypto addresses have a lot of upper and lower case letters and numbers and they can be daunting to look at at first, so I always double check the first few characters and the last few characters to be sure that I’m sending my coins to the right address. Third, if you need to transfer a large amount of coins and you’re nervous because it’s your first time transferring that particular coin or it’s your first time using that particular address, just send a small amount first. Once you see that it’s gone through then you can have some peace of mind that you can send the larger amount successfully.

How to generate an EOS key pair safely OFFLINE. (make a new private key and public address)

11:57
STEPS TO GENERATING AN EOS KEY PAIR OFFLINE • 1. Download key generator page to your computer or a flash drive: https://nadejde.github.io/eos-token-sale/ (Use at your own risk and discretion) Put it somewhere easily accessible when you boot into Linux, such as C:\eos-key\ or on a separate flash drive. I recommend not putting it on your desktop, nor in your "Documents folder", nor in a deeply nested folder. • 2. Download Ubuntu operating system (to be installed on a flash drive): https://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop • 3. Follow the instructions for your operating system: https://tutorials.ubuntu.com/tutorial/tutorial-create-a-usb-stick-on-ubuntu#0 A. (Windows users) If you are using Windows, follow these instructions: https://tutorials.ubuntu.com/tutorial/tutorial-create-a-usb-stick-on-windows B. (Mac users) If you are using Mac, follow these instructions: https://tutorials.ubuntu.com/tutorial/tutorial-create-a-usb-stick-on-macos C. (Ubuntu users) If you are already using Ubuntu, follow these instructions: https://tutorials.ubuntu.com/tutorial/tutorial-create-a-usb-stick-on-ubuntu • 4. Disconnect your Internet cable • 5. Reboot your machine. Boot straight into Ubuntu using your flash drive (if it doesn't automatically boot using your flash drive, you may have to configure your boot drive options in BIOS by pressing "DEL" at startup screen when you first turn on your computer) • 6. When the Ubuntu operating system has finished booting, load the saved webpage for generating your keypair (Where you saved it in Step 1 above). Click "Generate EOS key". • 7. Print or write down your new key pair (EOS public address and private keys) Important Note: If you write it by hand, write the private key multiple times and triple check it. You can always derive the public address from the private key later if you need to. You cannot derive the private key. If that is lost, you will have lost your entire account and all associated funds. Note: To print from Ubuntu, you may need to have the drivers for your printer if Ubuntu does not recognize your printer model. • 8. (Optional step) See my other video on how to use the Greymass wallet to use your newly generated keypair for your "owner" or "active" permission levels: https://youtu.be/K3YyzRrPcO8 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Disclaimer: The views expressed in this video are strictly my own and are not to be construed as trading advice. How to Restore a Bitcoin Wallet from a Seed (Electrum)

11:17
The Crypto Dad shows you how to recover an Electrum Bitcoin wallet using a Seed. Important software used is: Electrum bitcoin wallet: https://electrum.org/#home Software verification is done with: GnuPG. https://gnupg.org/ Specifically Gpg4Win. https://www.gpg4win.org/index.html We also cover some of the popular software that employs encryption. The printable Seed recovery page that I show you can be found at: https://www.blockchain.com/ (you will need to go through with setting up a new wallet to get the page. After that you can just keep a blank one saved on your computer) Donate Bitcoin: 1JBxwXG8P6PYKKsrHKzQduM8s8RoV3dnjr What is Bitcoin? Bitcoin is a new technology that functions as a digital currency. It is a peer-based, decentralized way to hold, store, send, and receive value. It does this by maintaining a cryptographic “ledger” called the Blockchain. All of the bitcoins in existence are created and stored on the Blockchain. Bitcoin with a capital “B” refers to the technology itself. Bitcoin spelled with a little “b” refers to the tokens that hold the value and can be exchanged with others. Multiple copies of the Blockchain exist on thousands if not millions of computers worldwide. Each copy of the Blockchain “verifies” itself by connecting to the Internet and making sure it has the most up-to-date list of transactions. The Blockchain maintains its integrity by using strong, modern, encryption techniques. This makes it impossible for anyone to alter the ledger, create fake transaction or “double-spend” their bitcoins. Bitcoins do not require banks or third-party financial services to act as central clearing houses for electronic transfers. In essence, Bitcoin technology “cuts out the middleman”. Bitcoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer monetary system that exists outside of the traditional, centralized, fiat-currency based financial system. Is Bitcoin money? Good question! The short answer is yes! But the long answer requires that we talk a little about what “money” is or what it should be. Money is basically an idea. It is a system that we can all agree upon which allows us to exchange value, so we do not have to carry around cows or chickens with us to trade for the things we need. An ideal money or “currency” should have the following properties: Portable Fungible (interchangeability) Dividable Durable Cognizable (easily identified) Stable Does Bitcoin fit the bill? Well it’s certainly portable. It is all digital. It weighs nothing (unlike gold which can be heavy and bulky in large amounts. For that matter, traditional paper currencies can also become heavy and bulky in large amounts!). It can be sent across the room or around the world with the same ease and comfort. You can carry it on a piece of paper, a laptop, or even your smart phone. It is Fungible. Every bitcoin is like every other bitcoin (unlike shells, beads, and traditional precious metal coins which can be “shaved” or diluted in purity) It is dividable. It is actually one of the most dividable currencies ever conceived! It is possible to spend small fractions of bitcoins and no need exists to make change. When was the last time you were able to spend 1/8 of a penny? Bitcoin is durable. It is protected by strong encryption and the Blockchain exists in thousands if not millions of locations simultaneously. You would literally have to delete the blockchain from every computer and smart phone in the world to destroy a bitcoin. Bitcoin is cognizable or easily recognized. It’s based on math. No one can dispute a number or deny that 1 + 1 =2. People are just beginning to understand what Bitcoin is. There is a bit of a learning curve. But once you are familiar with it, you will know it when you see it. Is Bitcoin stable? Well the current value of a bitcoin has been quite volatile lately in relation to other traditional currencies. But the Bitcoin plan calls for the creation of only 21 million bitcoins. In this way, Bitcoin will try to avoid the pitfalls of modern fiat currencies such as inflation, deflation, market manipulation, monetary policy, quantitative easing, and other central manipulations that effect the day-to-day value of the money we use.

12:40
What do you do if a hacker unstakes your coins and tries to steal them? This video shows you how to use the Greymass "eos-voter" wallet application to add an "Active Key" to your EOS account that only has an "Owner Key". This demonstration is shown using Greymass "eos-voter" wallet version 0.5.0. Jump to Summary: (11:45-) You can now add/remove different keypairs for the different permissions of "owner" and "active". If you have the same keypair for both your Active & Owner permissions, such as main-net snapshot account, then you will want to follow this procedure to add an "active" key pair. The 3 day unstaking period allows you to have time to prevent the theft. Make sure you have your un-used EOS tokens "staked" sso that you have the advantage of this 3 day waiting period. Episode 5- What are Hardware Wallets?

03:50
Hey guys, welcome back. In this episode, we will talk about the What are Hardware wallets ? My name is Toshendra Sharma, Blockchain researcher & instructor. This podcast is brought to you buy Blockchain Council. To visit their website, please visit www.blockchain-council.org. Check out our Certifications Certified Blockchain Expert https://www.blockchain-council.org/certifications/certified-blockchain-professional-expert/ Certified Bitcoin Expert https://www.blockchain-council.org/certifications/certified-bitcoin-expert-cbie/ Like our Pages for more Updates Linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/company/blockchaincouncil/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/blockchaincouncil/ Twitter @chaincouncil Below is the transcript of the Podcast: --------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, you would have often heard about the term hardware wallet, this is a physical device which stores private keys in a secured area within the device. The reason for the growing popularity of hardware wallet is that they are similar to the paper wallet but are more useful for sending and receiving the cryptocurrencies. Another reason for the building trust on the Hardware wallet is that till now there have been no cases of vulnerabilities or frauds or hacks. These wallets have been developed in a manner that they do not prey to viruses. Another striking feature of this hardware wallet is that you cannot remove the private keys in plaintext by any means. This makes them very safe & secure to hold the cryptocurrencies. Since the private key is never leaving the physical device in any possible format, the chances of viruses or malware to steal it is very very low. The physical embedded system device is only used to sign the transaction while sending the cryptocurrencies to other accounts which also require a physical press of a button. This physical press of a button cannot be done by any virus & require human force making them extremely safe. So What are the different hardware wallets Well, many hardware wallets are being used today, but let’s talk about the most famous ones. First one is Trezor: It is one of the popular hardware wallet developed by Satoshi Labs. It offers private keys for storage of bitcoins, altcoin, and ERC20 tokens. Apart from this, Trezor also provides features like password management, document signing and encryption with GPG. The wallet has a physical screen and two buttons for PIN verification and confirmations. Another one is Bitlox: This is a new hardware wallet developed by Bitlox Limited. It is comparatively bigger than other hardware wallets. It comes in three different version. Advanced, Ultimate, and Extreme. The surface of the device has a display screen and multiple buttons. With the help of this Bluetooth feature, you can connect it to your mobile phone. Another one is KeepKey: So Keepkey is a hardware wallet which is more significant than Ledger or Trezor wallet. Similar to other wallets, it has an OLED screen for verification and confirmation of transactions. Another one is Ledger Nano S: Ledger Nano S stores' Bitcoin, Ethereum, and approx 20-25 more cryptocurrencies. If you have ERC20 tokens, you can access your account on MyEtherWallet just like other hardware wallets. It is based on robust safety features for storing cryptographic assets and securing all crypto payments. It is a USB type stick which connects to any computer and embeds a secure OLED display to double-check and confirm each transaction with a single tap on its side buttons. So that’s all about the Hardware wallet guys. I hope you liked the episode & hope to meet you all in the next Episode. Please subscribe to our channel for more updates.

How to recover ERC20 Tokens sent to the Wrong Address

05:05
In this example I will go over how I accidentally sent GRX tokens to my Blockchain.info wallet by mistake and moved them to MyEtherWallet (MEW). You need to be in control of your private keys and do not send or share them with anyone. This technique will work will any ERC20 Tokens mistakenly sent to your Blockchain wallet and you needing to recover in you MEW wallet. *This will require getting the private keys of the receiving wallet or wallet seed. No way around it. Exporting private keys or seeds to MEW. Recovering bitcoin wallets might work the same if you have access to your private keys, it is always important to have a wallet that gives you access to your private keys, so you know you own the wallet. And you might be able to import them into MEW or blockchain wallets to recover tokens. **Overview instructions: if you do NOT have your private key, then you cannot recover. Get with wallet owner. 1. Copy private key from blockchain wallet, select ETH on leftside then select private key on right, next to search box. 2. Go to myetherwallet.com, logon using that private key you just copied, last option. 3. If you dont see your tokens you will need to add a custom token on the right side pane. Watch my video below "HOW TO ADD A CUSTOM TOKEN TO MYETHERWALLET, below. 4. Once you see your tokens, you will need to put some ETH in your wallet to be able to move your tokens out of it and into your current myetherwallet. About .50 cents should work, that will give you gas/gewi that is used to move ERC20 type tokens around. What no one tells you is that you always need ETH on hand for any ERC20 type token commerce.

MetaMask: How to restore your accounts

07:29
This tutorial explains how to restore your accounts in MetaMask. To restore your accounts you need the wallet seeds. The best way to restore your accounts is: - User ANOTHER computer and install Chrome and the MetaMask extension. - Enter the wallet seed. - Your accounts should be restored, but your imported accounts will not be restored. In the video the MetaMask extension is deleted. YOU SHOULD NOT DO THIS! I have done this for demonstration purpose. Hiding Money From Her? - MGTOW

10:28
"I would like a video made on the subject of Bitcoin and its potential to be used for the avoidance of wealth transfers i.e. divorce or increased taxes as examples. I also wanted to ask you a personal question related to MGTOW but do you think MGTOW and Nihilism are similar in some respects because both of them are a sort of ultimate conclusion? MGTOW is a sort of understanding of female nature and coming to terms with it while nihilism involves seeing life as a sort of pointless exercise but coming to terms with it in its own way." Well DJ Harbinger thanks for your donation and topic request. So be aware if you're hiding money from your ex spouse during a divorce and you have to declare your assets by law as to cover my butt I'm saying that you have to declare it. I'm not advocating anyone break the law. Same thing with taxes. If you have to report your assets and revenue then I suggest you do so. If you don't then you could be putting yourself into potential legal hot water from the state. That being said the one place where legally you're allowed to convert your real money into bitcoin legally to protect yourself is in a third word country. Argentina is a great example and I'm putting a link to a video called: Bitcoin: Buenos Aires. In countries where currencies have high rates of inflation it might be better for people to keep their money in bitcoins. People say that bitcoins are an alternative to paper currencies and it's in places like Argentina where their currency will suffer more from bitcoin because instead of choosing to keep greenbacks into their matresses people would rather put their money into bitcoins. That's what this documentary is all about. People in Latin America are using bitcoin exchanges to prevent them from losing the purchasing power of their pesos. And in many Latin American countries exchanging currencies can be illegal. The government wants it's citizens to lose their purchasing power because if they have no savings they have no power. The same goes for men in North America and Europe. If a man gets divorced and has to pay child support and alimony and gets taken to the cleaners then he has zero or negative purchasing power and the state or bankers have effectively neutralized him. With regards to divorce it's hard for family lawyers and forensic accountants to track down a bitcoin wallet or figure out how much you have in it. Again I'm not endorsing any of what I have to say. But if you setup multiple wallets transfer between them and then close the original wallets and delete those accounts then it becomes almost impossible for anyone to track the money down. And what are they going to do if you don't reveal your real bitcoin wallet and create more then one private key. Multiple keys are harder to crack and ensure that your bitcoins don't get stolen. We have to look at layers of financial protection for a man in the modern day and age.
