Why Big Data Analytics is the Best Career Path? Become a big Data Engineer in 2018

09:31
Check out my latest Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCrrLdxEXtA Why Big Data Analytics is the Best Career Path? Become a big Data Engineer in 2018. Why Big Data Analytics is the Best Career Path? Hello guys my name is Daniel and you are watching beginner tuts and in this video, we are going to talk about why big data analytics is the best career path? If you’re looking for an amazing career option in information technology and don’t know anything about this industry, then this video can help you become a big data analytics engineer. The Average salary of a big data engineer is 100,000 annually… That’s right guys. 100 grand a year. Now you must be wondering, what the heck is big data?? Big data is a term for data sets that are so large or complex that traditional data processing application software is too weak to deal with them. Big data challenges include capturing data, data storage, data analysis, search, sharing, transfer, visualization, querying, updating and information privacy. The Great White is considered to be the King of the Ocean. This is because the great White is on top of its game. Imagine if you could be on top of the game in the ocean of Big Data! Big Data is everywhere and there is almost an urgent need to collect and preserve whatever data is being generated, for the fear of missing out on something important. There is a huge amount of data floating around. What we do with it is all that matters right now. This is why Big Data Analytics is in the frontiers of IT. Big Data Analytics has become crucial as it aids in improving business, decision makings and providing the biggest edge over the competitors. This applies for organizations as well as professionals in the Analytics domain. For professionals, who are skilled in Big Data Analytics, there is an ocean of opportunities out there. . Why Big Data Analytics is the Best Career move? If you are still not convinced by the fact that Big Data Analytics is one of the hottest skills, here are 5 more reasons for you to see the big picture. 1. Soaring Demand for Analytics Professionals: Jeanne Harris, senior executive at Accenture Institute for High Performance, has stressed the significance of analytics professionals by saying, “…data is useless without the skill to analyze it.” There are more job opportunities in Big Data management and Analytics than there were last year and many IT professionals are prepared to invest time and money for the training. The job trend graph for Big Data Analytics, from Indeed.com, proves that there is a growing trend for it and as a result there is a steady increase in the number of job opportunities. The current demand for qualified data professionals is just the beginning. Srikanth, the Bangalore-based cofounder and CEO of CA headquartered Fractal Analytics states: “In the next few years, the size of the analytics market will evolve to at least one-thirds of the global IT market from the current one-tenths”. Technology professionals who are experienced in Analytics are in high demand as organizations are looking for ways to exploit the power of Big Data. The number of job postings related to Analytics in Indeed and Dice has increased substantially over the last 12 months. Other job sites are showing similar patterns as well. This apparent surge is due to the increased number of organizations implementing Analytics and thereby looking for Analytics professionals. In a study by QuinStreet Inc., it was found that the trend of implementing Big Data Analytics is zooming and is considered to be a high priority among U.S. businesses. A majority of the organizations are in the process of implementing it or actively planning to add this feature within the next two years. 2. Huge Job Opportunities & Meeting the Skill Gap: The demand for Analytics skill is going up steadily but there is a huge deficit on the supply side. This is happening globally and is not restricted to any part of geography. In spite of Big Data Analytics being a ‘Hot’ job, there is still a large number of unfilled jobs across the globe due to shortage of required skill. A McKinsey Global Institute study states that the US will face a shortage of about 190,000 data scientists and 1.5 million managers and analysts who can understand and make decisions using Big Data by 2018. According to Srikanth, co-founder and CEO of Fractal Analytics, there are two types of talent deficits: Data Scientists, who can perform analytics and Analytics Consultant, who can understand and use data. The talent supply for these job title, especially Data Scientists is extremely scarce and the demand is huge. 3. Salary Aspects: Strong demand for Data Analytics skills is boosting the wages for qualified professionals and making Big Data pay big bucks for the right skill. This phenomenon is being seen globally where countries like Australia and the U.K are witnessing this ‘Moolah Marathon’.

Introduction to Data Analytics with R, Tableau & Excel | Data Analytics Career in 2019 & Beyond

Introduction to Data Analytics with R, Tableau & Excel | Data Analytics Career in 2019 & Beyond https://acadgild.com/big-data/data-analytics-training-certification?aff_id=6003&source=youtube&account=UgnojgSKQLk&campaign=youtube_channel&utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=intro-DA-R-tableau-excel&utm_campaign=youtube_channel Did you know? by 2020, every human being will create over 1.5 megabytes of data per second on average. In 2025, the sum of digital data will add up to 180 zettabytes, which is over 1600 trillion gigabytes. Considering these numbers, it is an understatement to say that the data is only BIG. So, what is Big Data and how is it related to Data Analytics? Big data is a large volume of data that consists of both structured and unstructured data forms. helps organizations to draw meaningful insights from their data to learn and grow. Thus, it’s the data that matters and not it’s volume. Structured data is organized information that can be accessed with the help of simple search algorithms. While Unstructured data as the name suggests is less uniform and thus difficult to work with. The lack of structure makes compiling data at a time and energy-consuming task. The Relation Between Big Data and Analytics: The process of uncovering hidden patterns, unknown correlations, market trends, customer preferences and other useful information from both structured and unstructured data is called Data analytics. The Benefits of Using Data Analytics. • Analytics help organizations make informed decisions and choices. • It boosts the overall performance of the organization by refining the financial processes, increasing visibility, providing insights and granting control over managerial processes. • It detects fraud and flaws by keeping a close vigil. • It further Improves the IT economy by increasing agility and flexibility of systems. The above mentioned are just a few advantages, however, the list goes on. Despite the growing interest in data analytics, there is an acute shortage of professionals with good data analytical skills. Thus, only 0.5% of the data we produce is analysed. There is a serious shortage of skilled professionals. Thus, the ones who are called proficient data analysts must have certain skills. They must possess a varied skill-set like computer science, data mining and business management to provide from the data they are working on. Their computer science skills should include both programming skills and technical skills • Programming Skills: Python, R, and Java • Technical Skills: Knowledge of platforms like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc., Their data skills should include Warehousing Skills, Quantitative & Statistical Skills & Analytical & Interpretation Skills • Warehousing Skills: Data scientist must possess good analytical skills • Quantitative & Statistical Skills: As technology is a key aspect of big data analysis, quantitative and statistical skills are essential • Analytical & Interpretation Skills: knacks to analyses and interpret data The business skills are important to use the data effectively and to improve various aspects such as operations, finance, productivity, etc., These are the skills that make the data analytics professional an invaluable asset to the organization. The lack of skilled data professionals is an opportunity in turn for upcoming data scientists to make their mark in the field of data analytics. As the significance of data grows in the business world, the value of professionals working in analytics also increases. This is creating a variety of job roles amongst organizations and they are. Data Analyst, Analytics Consultant, Business Analyst, Analytics Manager, Data Architect, Metrics and Analytics Specialist, Analytics Associate these are only some of the job titles that data analytics professionals can acquire in business organizations. The list is presumably greater. The Chief Software Platforms are R, Tableau & Excel R is one of the robust statistical computing solutions. Tableau is the foremost business intelligence platform that offers eminent data visualization and exploration capabilities. Coming to Excel, it is used for managing, manipulating and presenting data. When combined, Tableau, R and Excel offer the most powerful and complete data analytics solutions. So, the demand for data analytics and its professionals is augmenting at a great pace. Organizations are interested in analysts to maximize their data potential, while professionals are interested in capitalizing on the analytical crunch in many parts of the world. #DataAnalytics, #Tableau, #R, #Excel, #career Please like share and subscribe the channel for more such video. ( http://bit.ly/2yCbsac ) --- affiliate link to help support this channel!^ Currently the average pay for a data analyst is $76,419 on the button, according to glassdoor I receive a lot of questions about what it takes to become a data analyst and what is a data analyst. Clearing up what a data analyst does everyday and what that description means to someone looking to enter the data science industry What will you actually be asked to do on the day to day as a data analyst. ► Top 4 Responsibilities in the Daily Life of a Data Analyst: 1 ) Mathematics Although mathematics only makes up about 20% of the day to day life of a data analyst. It is still important to have a strong understanding of the foundations of mathematics. - Addition - Subtraction - Multiplication - Division - Most Importantly --- Statistics Data analytics is all about statistics. Most of the statistics will be handled by the tools you are working with, but in order to be a great data analyst it is best to know why the tools are producing specific results. A strong understanding of statistics will be useful to you. 2 ) Computer Programming You must be able to work proficiently in one or more computer programming languages. This make up for roughly 60%-70% of your daily work. in order to analyze data it must be queried (drawn) from a large data warehouse. You will use computer programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R to query data. Before we move on let me define the term Query, if it does not resonate with you. You need strong computer programming skills in order to accomplish this task. As a data analyst you will do a lot of drawing and analyzing data. ► For more info on databases, SQL, and other jargon check out our Video Series on Data Jargon ( https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_9qmWdi19yDhnzqVCAhA4ALqDoqjeUOr ) 3 ) Know the Tools of the Trade Once you query data from the database onto your workspace you will begin to utilize data analytics tools to process, scrub, and analyze data (data Jargon explained on our Video series ^^^). You will be able to perform these tasks by using tools like Hadoop, Open Refine, Tableau, Apache Spark, etc... As you process the data you will begin to see connections between the data sets. You will see some of the following errors and you will want to remove these in order to ensure that your data analysis is accurate: - Duplicated data - Improperly formatted data - Incomplete data - Inaccurate data - This data will corrupt your findings and could possibly lose you client or employer millions of dollars. Make sure you know how to use those data analytics tools WELL! 4 ) Communicate and Present Insights Data Analyst will also be called upon to clearly and consciously present your research to clients, managers, or executives. Biostatistics and Epidemiology: Mining Big Data at Cincinnati Children's

02:48
http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org Data... Data is the pulsing, pumping life blood of every medical research center. It flows in from every laboratory experiment, every diagnostic test and every clinical observation. Cincinnati Children's gathers massive amounts of data every day. At the Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, we help investigators manage and analyze it all. There's a science to conducting scientific research. It's about building the evidence to develop new theories, reach valid conclusions, and ultimately, improve the practice of medicine. As the volume of data used in medical research grows at exponential rates, even the best investigators turn to our team for expert support. Our work touches nearly every branch of research at Cincinnati Children's. Our Data Management Center and our Biostatistical Consulting Unit have helped scientists in 19 divisions design more than 120 projects. When clinicians want to document hard-to-measure disease symptoms and child behaviors, we provide help through our innovative Scale Development Unit. We also work closely with the Anderson Center at Cincinnati Children's to study ways to improve hospital efficiency and safety. Our team's research also can affect community health. Our faculty has developed groundbreaking methods to measure how diesel exhaust from idling school buses and highway truck traffic can harm child health. We also study the health effects of endocrine disruptors, such as the chemical BPA, which has been found in soup cans, baby bottles, even thermal cashier receipts. And now our team is studying the best ways to manage truly Big Data. Advances in genetic research, electronic medical records and other innovations are producing incredible volumes of information for investigators.

An insider's guide to becoming a Google AdWords Specialist

09:46
What is an AdWords specialist? (read full post - https://goo.gl/ogynLj) Free AdWords Mini-Course - https://goo.gl/wfD8ud Think of an adWords specialist like a fishing guide for your paid advertising on Google. The ocean is all the search traffic on Google, and Google's partner sites. Your AdWords account manager has to find the best spot in the ocean to fish for for customers. They also have to find the right bait - ads - to lure customers to your business. And they have to bring in enough customers to make your fishing on Google profitable every month. The best AdWords professionals can send a steady stream of highly motivated customers to your business, on a consistent basis. But learning how to be effective in AdWords can be time consuming and costly. Especially if you don't understand the principles of PPC advertising. Outsourcing AdWords management allows businesses to put their paid search advertising in the hands of trained professional. There are three main types of AdWords specialists: marketing agency and freelance Adwords account managers, and in-house PPC resources. AdWords specialists at marketing agencies Agency AdWords account specialists are part of an agency team focused on delivering AdWords results. This is the role that I described to begin this post, and the role I held for about 2-3 years at my agency. AdWords account specialists are usually an entry to mid-level role at agencies. Most account specialists work under an account manager that directs the advertising strategy. The account manager also serves as the main point of contact for customers. The account specialist's job is to focus almost entirely on working within the Google AdWords interface. During my marketing agency days, account specialists spent at least 20 hours a week working in AdWords. Day-to-day AdWords management work involves: Doing Keyword research to find the best advertising opportunities Mining search query reports to add new long-tail keywords, match types and negatives Performing and acting on competitive analysis Interpreting Adwords reports Managing bidding strategies Writing and testing new ads Making adjustments to increase account performance How to succeed in a PPC agency Account management is where I started my agency career. The key to being a successful AdWords account manager is in daily diligence. I look at Adwords as a strategy game. Every time I log into an account, there is a chance to make a move that improves results. You win the game by generating as many cost-effective leads for your clients as possible. Agency AdWords specialists have to manage dozens of accounts. Managing this type of workload can be very demanding, and involves long hours focused entirely on account data analysis and ad testing. The best account managers thrive on the variety of the accounts they run. Each Adwords campaign represents a unique search marketing challenge. And every account offers new opportunity to grow a client's business. Freelance AdWords Specialists. AdWords freelancers are the lone wolves of the PPC industry. They generally do the same type of work as an agency account manager. But they also have to do their own business development and client communication. Freelancers usually maintain a smaller number of AdWords clients, and freelancers will specialize by industry, or type of client, etc.. PPC Agencies vs. Freelance Consultants vs. In-House Resources PPC Agency Adwords management Marketing agencies are a great fit for the majority of AdWords account needs. They are cheaper than hiring a full-time resource, have the ability to make comparisons across dozens of accounts, and have the tools needed to deliver results at scale. For budgets of $10,000 to $100,000 a month, working with an agency works perfectly. Agencies can manage complex Ecommerce accounts that involve advertising for 100's to 1,000's of products. They are also ideal for big lead-generation campaigns with multiple locations and products needing advertising. Agencies have tools to help scale results across multiple clients, industries and advertising strategies. They are worth their weight in gold, But for very large or very small accounts, a PPC agency is not the most efficient choice. s Freelance AdWords management Freelancers present a great option for small businesses spending less than $10,000 per month on AdWords. This includes businesses like doctors, lawyers, dentists, plumbers, movers, electricians, etc. Advertising for service business is usually focused on location based lead generation. These business don't need complex account structure or 100's of product listings. But they do need a competent PPC manager that knows how to find leads and manage a cost-per-acquisition budget.
