Movement classes at the Guildhall School

07:00
The body has to be trained so that the actor is in charge of it, rather than it being in charge of the actor. A key goal is finding the readiness to act spontaneously. This process starts from humble beginnings; the first movement lesson at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama sets the apparently simple task of standing still. A lot of movement work is to do with relationships with other people, rather than just the actor's own internal physical relationships; this video includes footage of a mask workshop with Head of Movement Wendy Allnutt, and a class on the second year '20 Movements' project with Danny McGrath. Movement classes open up the opportunity for actors to play parts which don't conform to their own expected character types, and to be free of unwanted and potentially debilitating tension. -- View all our films about life at the Guildhall School by visiting http://www.gsmd.ac.uk and clicking on 'Tour'. -- Production credits: Harold Raitt (director, interviews, editor) and Neil McIntyre / Julian Willson (location sound recordists); all part of the team at http://www.seehearinteract.com / http://www.johannesfactotum.com.

How to survive bear or shark attack? What should you do if you are bitten by a snake? We've gathered 13 easy tips that will save your life if you do meet a wild animal. Watch the video, make notes, and remember to give us thumbs up for worrying about your well-being! TIMESTAMPS How to survive a shark attack 1:18 How to survive a kangaroo attack 2:09 How to survive a lion attack 2:51 How to survive an elephant attack 3:33 How to survive a rhinoceros attack 4:11 How to survive a hippopotamus attack 4:43 How to survive a bull attack 5:24 How to survive a jellyfish attack 5:53 How to survive an alligator or crocodile attack 6:31 How to survive snake attack 7:18 How to survive a bear attack 7:49 How to survive gorilla attack 8:38 How to survive bees attack 9:16 #sharkattack #snakeattack #survivaltips Music: Summer Smile - Silent Partner SUMMARY Many wild animals can be dangerous or even fatal for a person. If you look at the statistics, you might feel terrified. - Sharks cause just six deaths a year - their infamous reputation is very exaggerated. - Wolves are responsible for ten deaths annually. - Lions kill 22 people a year. - Now get ready: elephants, cute lovely giants, are the reason that more than 500 people lose their lives every year! - Hippopotamuses equal them in this scary competition. - Crocodiles turn out to be much more dangerous than sharks: about one thousand deaths a year. - But the champion here is the snake: 100,000 people meet their end at the teeth of this reptile. We hope you will never have to escape from a rhinoceros, swim away from a crocodile, or meet a hungry lion. However, now you will be able to protect yourself in the wilderness. Phase-Functioned Neural Networks for Character Control

04:51
We present a real-time character control mechanism using a novel neural network architecture called a Phase-Functioned Neural Network. In this network structure, the weights are computed via a cyclic function which uses the phase as an input. Along with the phase, our system takes as input user controls, the previous state of the character, the geometry of the scene, and automatically produces high quality motions that achieve the desired user control. The entire network is trained in an end-to-end fashion on a large dataset composed of locomotion such as walking, running, jumping, and climbing movements fitted into virtual environments. Our system can therefore automatically produce motions where the character adapts to different geometric environments such as walking and running over rough terrain, climbing over large rocks, jumping over obstacles, and crouching under low ceilings. Our network architecture produces higher quality results than time-series autoregressive models such as LSTMs as it deals explicitly with the latent variable of motion relating to the phase. Once trained, our system is also extremely fast and compact, requiring only milliseconds of execution time and a few megabytes of memory, even when trained on gigabytes of motion data. Our work is most appropriate for controlling characters in interactive scenes such as computer games and virtual reality systems.

Why No Aquarium In the World Has a Great White Shark?

10:54
Even if you absolutely love aquariums and have been to dozens of them, there's one sea creature you’ll never ever come across there. Not a single aquarium in the world has a great white shark. Is the great white not cool enough to be put on display? Are people afraid of being attacked even when these animals are confined within thick walls made of special glass? There have been plenty of attempts to hold these creatures captive. In 1955, the first great white was captured and sent to Marineland of the Pacific in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the animal didn't even make it through one day at the oceanarium. Scientists still don't know much about the great white shark, but they have come up with several theories. TIMESTAMPS Where can you find great white sharks? 0:48 Attempts to hold great white sharks captive 2:28 Why do they suffer so much from being locked up? 5:00 Depression 5:12 Lack of space 5:32 Respiratory problems 6:13 Hunger 7:05 The wrong water salinity 7:36 Why is it important to save the last great white sharks? 7:52 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -These massive fish can be spotted in cool coastal waters all over the world. “Human” isn’t on a great white’s menu. In general, there are no more than 10 attacks a year. -In 1955, the first great white was captured and sent to Marineland of the Pacific in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the animal didn't even make it through one day at the oceanarium. The SeaWorld in San Diego managed to keep a great white for 16 days back in 2003, but they ended up deciding to release the animal back into the ocean. -Scientists still don't know much about the great white shark, but they have come up with several theories. -Believe it or not, depression and shock can bring these powerful creatures down. -No aquarium in the world can provide the animal with conditions to let it move as it does in the wild. -In a tank, great whites can't move freely, so they develop problems with their respiratory system. What's more, a shark can suffer from hypoxia, or a deficiency of oxygen. -Since they need to hunt down their prey and eat it alive, they often refuse to eat in captivity. -You can't even imagine how hard it is to mimic the ocean’s unique water composition. -Great white sharks are extremely important for keeping the ecological balance in the oceans. Losing just one shark endangers the entire ecosystem. Unfortunately, there are just about 3,500 of them left in the world. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald - Official Comic-Con Trailer

03:17
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald - In Theaters November 16 http://www.FantasticBeasts.com/ https://www.facebook.com/fantasticbeastsmovie https://www.instagram.com/fantasticbeastsmovie https://twitter.com/FantasticBeasts Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” is the second of five all new adventures in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World™. At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world. The film features an ensemble cast led by Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, with Jude Law and Johnny Depp. The cast also includes, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, and Poppy Corby-Tuech. “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” is directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling. The film is produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram. Slated for release on November 16, 2018, the film will be distributed worldwide in 2D and 3D in select theatres and IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Game Cameras: 5 Fast Facts

02:55
See The 10 Best Game Cameras on Ezvid Wiki ►► https://wiki.ezvid.com/best-game-cameras Fact #1. The first cameras dedicated to capturing images of wildlife without a human presence date as far back as the 1890s. Photographer George Shiras is credited as the pioneer of the game camera movement and the popularity of wildlife photography. He originally used trip wires designed to trigger a flash and a remotely-controlled camera to take snapshots of animals in their natural habitats. His work was later published in National Geographic Magazine. Fact #2. Between the 1920s and 1990s, game cameras lost some of their popularity due to both technological limitations and unreliable trip mechanisms. However, with the development of infrared triggers, followed soon after by the digital camera, the popularity of both game cameras and wildlife photography exploded. They're still going strong today, particularly from an educational point of view. Fact #3. A game camera is a weatherproof, remotely or automatically-activated device capable of taking snapshots or videos of animals in their natural habitats. The device is built for extended, unmanned use outdoors. It leverages a combination of infrared sensor and motion sensor technology to act as an image trigger. The camera uses this to initiate the capture of either single or multiple snapshots or video of wildlife. Fact #4. Game cameras have several applications. The most common use is for ecological and behavioral studies. For example, the camera can document activity patterns of a particular animal that includes the times of day it travels to a certain location. It's also useful for recording animal migrations or quantifying the number of species inhabiting a specific area. Game cameras can also be used for determining the best hunting trails. Fact #5. The major advantage of a game camera is its ability to record visual data and natural behavior over time without physically trapping the animal or influencing its environment. This allows for a more accurate study of animal behavior. It also makes possible the discovery and observation of more elusive and critically endangered species. For that reason, the game camera can be used as a tool for raising public awareness of the need for conservation efforts.

6 hidden hot moments in modern games

04:30
In this video we'll show how many developers like to hide naughty easter egss inside their games. Get ready for 6 hidden hot moments in modern games! 1. Real Life Phone Line In The Last Of Us You wouldn’t expect a easter egg in the dark and gritty The Last of Us. However some of the phone numbers in the game turned out to be active phone lines in real life. Developer Naughty Dog called it a mistake and quickly patched it out of a the game. We bet somebody got there ass kicked over this ‘mistake’. 2. Metal Gear Solid 4's Photo Shoots Metal Gear Solid 4 has a very hot easter egg when it comes to fighting the different 'Beauty and the Beast' bosses. If you run away from them while they are in their human form you will be teleported to a white room. Here you can take a bunch of photos as they strike different poses for you. It’s like you’re playing Metal Gear Solid’s Next Top Model. 3. Ratchet & Clank 2 Boob Growth You wouldn’t expect to find a easter egg hidden inside a kid’s game but here we are. Ratchet & Clank 2 has a female alien that really likes to see Ratchet doing sideflips. She likes it so much that certain body parts grow bigger each time he does one. Can you believe the developers got away with this? 4. Assassin’s Creed III MILF talk If you visit Ben Franklin in Assassin’s Creed 3 you can get into a conversation about his obsession with mature women. There is about 5 minutes of dialog of him explaining how much one of America’s Founding Fathers loves older ladies. We can’t wait to play the spinoff game Ben Franklin: Hunter! 5. Amanda GTA 5 Grand Theft Auto 5 has a very funny easter egg that reminds players while it’s always a good idea to lock their bedroom door. As Michael you can walk in on your wife as she’s doing something rather private. Awkward to say the least. 6. Borderlands 2 Mad Moxxi's gun controller vibration There is a gun in Borderlands 2 called Miss Moxxi’s Good Touch that you can get by tipping up to fifteen thousand bucks at her bar. With the Good Touch equipped your controller will vibrate at a low level even when you’re not firing it. You can even control the vibration strength by zooming in and out. Just remember to lock your door if you decide to use it! Did you know more hidden hot moments in games? Let us know in the comments. Electrochemical Gradient

05:56
In this video Paul Andersen explains how the electrochemical gradient is a combination of the chemical and electrical gradient of ions. As ions move across a membrane the potential change creates a hidden force that isn't always apparent. Types of joints in the human body - Anatomy & Examples | Kenhub

09:41
A joint is where two bones meet in the Human body. Without joints, movement as we know would be impossible. After this video, you should find out how many joints in the Human body are you able to identify. Try this quiz: https://khub.me/m0ftb Oh, are you struggling with learning anatomy? We got the ★ Ultimate Anatomy Study Guide ★ to help you kick some gluteus maximus in any topic. Completely free. Download yours today: https://khub.me/jt7w4 So as you've probably already observed within your own body, the bones of the human body work together to create a structural scaffolding to protect the internal organs and to facilitate movement. Every bone in the body articulates with at least one other bone, with the exception of the hyoid bone which is floating up around the neck. Articulation, which is the joining together of two bone structures, is what makes movement possible and the point of articulation between two bones is called a joint. Joints are classified according to the range of motion they exhibit and the types of tissue that holds the bones together. We classify joints according to the types of tissues holding the articulating bones together. With that in mind, we can describe three distinct types of joints and these are the synovial joint, the fibrous joint and the cartilaginous joint. In this video tutorial, we will be going over the following points: 0:30 definition of articulation/joint; 0:46 joint classification; 1:14 synovial joints; 2:16 fibrous joints; 3:22 cartilaginous joints; 4:29 classification of joints based on range of motion; 5:46 ball and socket joints; 6:19 hinge joints; 6:42 pivot joints; 7:33 condylar joints; 8:05 saddle joints; 8:41 plane joints; Want to test your knowledge on the main joints of the Human body? Take this quiz: https://khub.me/m0ftb Read more on the anatomy of the different types of joints and learn some examples of those joints in your body: https://khub.me/um4nv For more engaging video tutorials, interactive quizzes, articles and an atlas of Human anatomy and histology, go to https://khub.me/2coqo

Back Story of My "Finding Bigfoot" Febuary 2017

06:18
It has taken 7 years to get a shot as close as I got in Febuary 2017 of a Sasquatch. I originally started my search here in May of 2010 when on a fishing trip I discovered an oddly placed stick shelter in the woods at the base of a steep rocky, wooded hillside. When I took my firt walk into this area,I was a skeptic about the possiblity of Bigfoot. I had heard of the sightings for many years but felt they were only made up stories. When I walk through the woods I stay in constant awareness of my surroundings,I'm keenly aware of any slight movement and sounds. I basiclly become part of the woods. I always go in at the same location and follow my same route through the area and leave by the same path every time. There are no actual paths through here other than game trails, I just go through sensing my way, knowing the way I've gone before. I also move through as the animals do..stopping to always observe and out of sight. Years ago right after the Finding Bigfoot show aired of my accidental capture of a Sasquatch, I noticed that my area was being "invaded" by curious seekers of Bigfoot. I was amused at they way they all walked through those woods, it was as if they were strolling through their downtown or local mall. None of them ever knew I was sitting back watching their every move. In order to experience these forest dwelling individuals one must treat them as you would anyone else, we are in their environment, it is not ours. It takes a great deal of time, in fact in this case years for them to get used to the civilized human presence. So tread lightly,go cusiously and let them get to know you...all this just to find out IF they are even in the area. It's all not easy and few will actually take the time needed but if you are lucky enough to experience them even once, it's well worth the investment of time. We truly can lean a great deal, not only about them and how and why they are here...but of ourselves as well.

Killer Whale Attack ( Documentary )

49:00
The killer whale or orca (Orcinus orca) is a toothed whale belonging to the oceanic dolphin family, of which it is the largest member. Killer whales are found in all oceans, from Arctic and Antarctic regions to tropical seas. Killer whales have a diverse diet, although individual populations often specialize in particular types of prey. Some feed exclusively on fish, while others hunt marine mammals such as seals and dolphins. They have been known to attack baleen whale calves, and even adult whales. Killer whales are apex predators, as there is no animal which preys on them.

27 Perfectly Timed Photos

07:21
We are so glad these photos were captured! Funniest and most amazing perfectly timed photos, prepare to laugh!! Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr #14 - Will You Marry Me When the universe asks for your hand in marriage, you say yes. When it proposes with a solar eclipse ring, you should be over the moon with joy. These are some punny jokes, but the timing of this was perfect, it looks like an amazingly unique wedding picture. #13 - Is That The One You Asked For It’s an age-old folk tale that babies are brought to the parents by way of stork. While we know this is not the way babies come about, this perfectly timed picture tries to make liars of us all. #12 - Spitting Water Here is another perfectly timed picture that depicts this woman spewing water from her mouth when in reality she is sitting in front of a water fountain and craning her neck back. People probably thought she was crazy for staring at the water like that while the picture was being taken. Hopefully, those who did later saw this picture all over the web. #11 - The Giant Bugs Are Attacking Well, it appears that way at least. What better thing to do when you have an enormous grasshopper clinging to your front windshield for dear life? Snap a photo and make it look like he’s taking over the whole town. Ah, the things we do to amuse ourselves. #10 - Your Conditioner Smells Nice Women are usually guilty of spending quality time in the shampoo and conditioner aisle as they smell literally everything there is to offer. The same must have been going on right before this was shot. Due to the placement in the photo, the one woman looks like she is smelling the other one’s hair. It seems she is smelling pretty vigorously since it appears that the strand of hair is inside her actual nostril. #9 - The Time The Prez Was A Wizard Almost everyone loves Harry Potter and the promise of an interactive wizarding world. Former President Obama must share the same love, as we can see here, he looks like an actual wizard. All he is missing is a hat and a wand; the black windbreaker we see here could sort of pass as black wizard’s robes. #8 - A Smile In The Sunset This photograph has been around for awhile now; it may be one of the first examples of perfect timing in photography, at least one of the first to surf around the internet. These birds had no idea they were giving everyone who saw them something to smile about. #7 - Bruce the Friendly Shark Remember Bruce the shark from Finding Nemo? Here’s his friend Phil. He is just as friendly and can be seen here hi-fiving a scuba diver. Not something the diver expected, I’m sure, but pretty cool position and timing from the photographer. #6 - A New You While this lady didn’t mean to reveal this much of herself to everyone today, the person across from her thought that now would be the opportune moment. Here is a perfectly timed picture, next time she should check out the news on the first page. #5 - The Game of Hacky Sack There are a ton of great perfectly timed pictures that involve the sun. Some are posing with the sunrise or sometimes the sunset, either way; they are all incredible photographs. This one is especially gorgeous with the vibrant red in the background caused by the setting sun. It looks as though he is playing hacky sack or maybe soccer with a smaller ball. #4 - The New Bubble Boy This yellow lab knows when to strike a pose. Even though he is clearly chasing the giant bubble and has no idea what a photograph even is, the timing here was perfect. It looks like we have a new bubble boy in the neighborhood. #3 - A Thirsty Feline This cat is probably not a very happy camper because instead of letting him back inside, his owner is taking picture after picture with their phone. What the cat doesn’t know is that with the addition of the Pepsi and straw, this just became the number one most “liked” picture on Instagram. #2 - The Headless Gymnast During what appears to be a great performance, judging by the intricate costume and killer split leap, this gymnast threw her head too far back, and someone snapped this picture. Now, no matter how spectacular the act was, nor how many other beautiful pictures were taken, she will always be remembered from this piece as the girl without a head. #1 - The Hover Dog Everyone has seen those new hoverboards, right? Most kids got them on Christmas. This year they have come out with something new and improved! A hover dog. Now you race your dogs as they hover inches above the ground. That’s not really what’s going on here, this dog’s picture was just taken at just the right time when all four legs were up off the ground.

A Color Test That Can Tell Your Mental Age

07:37
A lot of the times your brain “feels” way younger or older than you are. That's called mental age. Do you wanna know yours? Lucky for you, Bright Side put together a simple test that will help you figure out if you're a carefree child, an old and wise sage or just exactly as mentally “old” as you are. Just answer our questions, write down your points for every answer, add them all up and get your results! But enough talking, let's begin! If you got 7-12 points, mentally you're just under 20 years old. It doesn't matter what your passport says – you’re a carefree teenager at heart! If you're way older than 20, congratulations – you've managed to carry this constant feeling of enthusiasm and love for life through all these years. Keep shining! If your result is 13–20 points, you are 20–29 years old. You are active, creative, and full of life, but you can already call yourself an adult. Childhood and teenage years are over, but you took the best from them and left all the unnecessary stuff behind. It doesn't mean that you're not having fun though – your life is just as exciting as it was. If all of your points added up to 21–28 points, your mental age is 30–39 years. You’re still active and curious about new things and ideas, but you are already responsible and thoughtful. If you think about it, that's the perfect balance between the children's joy for life and adults' independence. The golden mean at its best! If your total number of points is 29–35, you are 40–49 years old. You're mature and experienced, and you know exactly how to live your life. You have no time for nonsense – you're determined and hardworking. You know what you want and how to get it. Continue to be a true inspiration for everyone around! 36–40 points mean that your mental age is over 50 years. And that's not a bad thing at all! On the contrary, you are wise and calm. You get what life is all about, and you highly appreciate comfort. You're the person everyone goes for advice, plus you can always be trusted. These are some rare qualities today, so your friends must protect you at all costs. So what’s your mental age and how close is it to your real age?
