P&H Mining Equipment Mobile Mining Crusher 4170C

00:34
Large-scale surface mining operations traditionally rely upon high-capacity shovels and haul trucks to move large volumes of overburden and ore-bearing material. However, as costs for diesel fuel and tires, truck maintenance and haulage road maintenance rise, some mines will soon add In-Pit Crusher-Conveyor (IPCC) systems to their material handling operations to help contain production costs. P&H has developed a powerful, high-throughput Mobile Mining Crusher (MMC) that will be fed by a nearby P&H mining shovel as part of the new IPCCs on the horizon. Haul trucks will continue to play a major role in surface mines, alongside growing numbers of IPCCs.

[4K] Big Thunder Mountain Railroad | Magic Kingdom

05:33
The best of Orlando - https://www.portalorlando.com/ Race through a haunted gold-mining town aboard a rollicking runaway mine train. The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness Dash in and out of desert caverns and rumble through a haunted mine aboard a speeding train. Amid rugged bedrock and desert cactus, venture inside a nearly 200-foot mountain to the Big Thunder Mining Company, established in the early days of America’s Gold Rush. Traipse down into an abandoned mine shaft and discover a mysterious 5-car locomotive waiting to take you on a journey inside an abandoned shaft. Hang Onto Your Hats! As you begin your journey into the darkness of the tunnel, the train’s wheels chug back and forth across a rickety track. Swoop around turns and dip and drop into canyons and caves, darting through the ghost town of Tumbleweed. Peel under a booming waterfall, past rock formations, and dodge a rumbling boulder from an inexplicable landslide. Along your adventure, glimpse the remnants of a flash flood and behold a bevy of local critters—including bats, opossum and a goat—before hastily making your way back to the safety of the railroad station. The Big Thunder Mountain Legend Legend has it that a supernatural force dwells within the mountain. When gold was first discovered in the 1850s, a mining company was established. But soon, eerie things began to occur. Miners heard ghostly sounds, cave-ins became frequent and equipment mysteriously failed. Trains would take off and race through the mine and around the mountain driverless! Word got out that the mine was haunted and Big Thunder became another ghost town. Years later, when eyewitness accounts had faded into folklore, new prospectors resurrected the Mining Company and began blasting into the spooky mountain once again. But as the new settlers became aware, some legends turn out to be true. A Train Ride for the Entire Family Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a speedy rollercoaster-type attraction designed with your entire family in mind. However, some parts of this attraction are bumpy and, in some instances, take place in the dark.

FIND THE LOST DUTCHMANS GOLD WITH A DRONE

05:35
The Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine (also known by similar names) is, according to legend, a rich gold mine hidden in the southwestern United States. The location is generally believed to be in the Superstition Mountains, near Apache Junction, east of Phoenix, Arizona. There have been many stories about how to find the mine, and each year people search for the mine. Some have died on the search. The mine is named after German immigrant Jacob Waltz (c. 1810–1891), who purportedly discovered it in the 19th century and kept its location a secret. "Dutchman" was a common American term for a "German" ("Dutch" being the English cognate to the German demonym "Deutsch"). The Lost Dutchman's is perhaps the most famous lost mine in American history. Arizona place-name expert Byrd Granger wrote, as of 1977, the Lost Dutchman's story had been printed or cited at least six times more often than two other fairly well-known tales, the story of Captain Kidd's lost treasure, and the story of the Lost Pegleg mine in California. People have been seeking the Lost Dutchman's mine since at least 1892,[1] while according to one estimate, 8,000 people annually made some effort to locate the Lost Dutchman's mine.[2] Former Arizona Attorney General Robert K. Corbin is among those who have looked for the mine.[3] Contents 1 Other Lost Dutchman's mines 2 Stories about the mine 2.1 Lost Apache gold or Dr. Thorne's story 2.1.1 The truth about the Peralta Mine 2.1.2 The truth about Dr. Thorne 2.2 The Lost Dutchman's story 2.3 Stories of the soldiers' lost gold vein 3 The historical Jacob Waltz 4 The death of Adolph Ruth 5 Other searches for the mine 6 Other deaths and disappearances 7 Lost Dutchman State Park 8 In popular culture 9 See also 10 References 11 External links Other Lost Dutchman's mines[edit] Robert Blair wrote "[t]here have been at least four legendary Lost Dutchman's gold mines in the American West, including the famed Superstition mine of Jacob Waltz".[4] One Lost Dutchman's mine is said to be in Colorado, another in California; two are said to be located in Arizona. Tales of these other Lost Dutchman's mines can be traced to at least the 1870s. The earliest Lost Dutchman's mine in Arizona was said to have been near Wickenburg, about 180 km (110 mi) north-west of the Superstition Mountains: a "Dutchman" was allegedly discovered dead in the desert near Wickenburg in the 1870s alongside saddlebags filled with gold. Blair suggested that "fragments of this legend have perhaps become attached to the mythical mine of Jacob Waltz".[5] Stories about the mine[edit] Granger wrote that "fact and fiction blend in the tales",[2] but that there are three main elements to the story: "They are, first, tales of the lost Apache gold or Dr. Thorne's mine; second, tales about the Lost Dutchman's; and, third, stories of the soldiers' lost gold vein ... [t]he most complete version of the Lost Dutchman's story incorporates all three legends".[2] Blair argued that there are kernels of truth at the heart of each of these three main stories, though the popular story is often badly garbled from the actual account. Other theories have materialized that speculate the mine is buried at the bottom of Apache or Roosevelt Lake. In 1977, Granger identified 62 variants of the Lost Dutchman's story – some of the variations are minor, but others are substantial, casting the story in a very different light from the other versions. Lost Apache gold or Dr. Thorne's story[edit] In this story (actually two interconnected stories), members of the Apache tribe are said to have a very rich gold mine located in the Superstition Mountains. Famed Apache Geronimo is sometimes mentioned in relation to this story. In most variants of the story, the family of a man called Miguel Peralta discovered the mine and began mining the gold there, only to be attacked or massacred by Apaches in about 1850 in the supposed Peralta massacre. Years later, a man called Dr. Thorne treats an ailing or wounded Apache (often alleged to be a chieftain) and is rewarded with a trip to a rich gold mine. He is blindfolded and taken there by a circuitous route, and is allowed to take as much gold ore as he can carry before again being escorted blindfolded from the site by the Apaches. Thorne is said to be either unwilling or unable to relocate the mine. The truth about the Peralta Mine[edit] l

The Ruby Mine is a fully-permitted underground placer and lode mine located near Downieville in Sierra County, California that is known to have produced over 350,000 ounces of gold since the 1850's, and which is considered to be part of the northern extension of the historic Mother Lode system. The Ruby Property covers approximately 2,312 contiguous acres, only a small portion of which has been explored to date. The property consists of the subsurface mineral rights of two patented claims totaling approximately 435 acres and 59 unpatented claims containing approximately 1,877 acres. The equipment, fixed assets, and infrastructure in place include a 1,000 yard per day placer wash plant, 50-ton per day quartz mill, 6,000 feet of tracked haulage, and related support equipment needed for underground mining operations. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (On-Ride) Disneyland

04:11
Back Riders Perspective of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, USA. The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness Race along the railroad tracks in a runaway mine car—and watch for new surprises along the way! This classic Disneyland attraction is back, and better than ever before. Amid rugged bedrock and desert cactus, venture inside a barren mountain to the Big Thunder Mining Company, established in the early days of America’s Gold Rush. Traipse down and discover a mysterious 5-car locomotive waiting to take you on a journey inside an abandoned mine shaft. Hurl forward into the darkness of a tunnel as the train’s wheels chug back and forth across a winding track. Swoop around sharp turns and dip and drop into canyons and caves, darting through the ghost town of Big Thunder. Peel under a booming waterfall, past rock formations, and dodge a rumbling boulder from an unexpected landslide. Glimpse the remnants of an earthquake and behold a bevy of local critters—including bats, opossum and a goat with a stick of dynamite in his mouth—before hastily making your way back to the safety of the railroad station. The Story of Big Thunder Mountain Legend has it that a supernatural force dwells within the mountain. When gold was first discovered in the 1850s, a mining company was established. But soon, eerie things began to occur. Miners heard ghostly sounds, cave-ins became frequent and equipment mysteriously failed. Trains would take off and race through the mine and around the mountain driverless! Word got out that the mine was haunted and Big Thunder became just another ghost town. Years later, when eyewitness accounts had faded into folklore, new prospectors resurrected the mining company and began blasting into the spooky mountain once again. But as you may soon discover, some legends turn out to be true. The Old Town The miniature town of Big Thunder that you roll past at the end of the attraction predates Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Originally named Rainbow Ridge, the town is one of several elements from the Rainbow Caverns Mine Train (later called Mine Train through Nature's Wonderland) that transported Guests around Frontierland from 1956 to 1977. GUITTARD CHOCOLATE COMPANY - UNWRAPPED CHOCOHOLIC

04:34
In the 1850's, Etienne Guittard embarked on an arduous journey from France to America. It was during the California Gold Rush, and in just a few short years, while still in his twenties, this adventuresome Frenchman struck gold on the rough and tumble streets of early San Francisco. An experienced chocolate maker, Etienne had brought delicious French chocolate to trade for mining supplies, but soon discovered that wealthy miners were willing to pay premium prices for this elegant treat. Etienne sailed back to Tournus, France, where he worked in his uncle's chocolate factory until he could afford to buy his own chocolate making equipment. In 1868, he returned to San Francisco and opened Guittard Chocolate on Sansome Street. In no time, San Francisco became one of the great chocolate manufacturing centers in America, where ships from exotic regions of the world brought their cacao beans to market. Of the original family-owned companies that brought commerce and culture to the dusty, often lawless streets of early San Francisco, Guittard Chocolate Company is the only one that remains family-owned.

GHOST TOWN TRAILS: Brunckow's Cabin - Deadliest Cabin in Arizona

04:14
Brunckow's Cabin is considered to be the "bloodiest cabin in Arizona history." Between 1860 and 1890, at least twenty-one people were killed there, many of whom are buried on site. Brunckow's Cabin isn't really a ghost town, however a lot of history is contained within it's walls. Located about 200 yards south of the Charleston highway and a half mile east of the San Pedro River. An article in the Arizona Democrat on May 20, 1891 wrote: "Many will tell you that the unquiet spirits of the departed ones want to revisit the glimpses of the moon and wander about the scene which witnesses their untimely taking off. The graves lie thick around the place." The builder of the house was Fredrick Brunckow, a German mining engineer, who was murdered in 1860 and his body found in a mine shaft in the area. One version is that a gentleman named William Williams, one of the three Anglos among the several Mexicans at the camp, went to Fort Buchanan for supplies in September of 1860. When he returned after dark he discovered the gruesome remains of two of the Anglos in the cabin and Brunckow was found dead later in the mine. Some say they were killed by their employees. The Tombstone Prospector on May 20, 1897, said that in the early days the Brunckow mine was the scene of much excitement, shootings, and dissension among the owners. "One man was supposed to have been shot and thrown into a well but as there were abundant men in those days an investigation seemed needless." Brunckow, well-educated, emigrated to the U.S. in 1850. He joined the Sonora Exploring and Mining Co., and worked in explorations in the Tubac area. He developed his San Pedro Silver Mine a short distance from the river. The fireplace of this cabin is where Ed Schieffelin melted and assayed the ore from the mines that were later to bring Tombstone into existence.

Last Chance Part 6 "Touring 150 Years Of History"

03:41
This location is the Pacific Slab Mine which also was part of the town of Last Chance. Notice the aqueduct towards the back of this camp at one time which was used in hydraulic mining which was banned from North America. There is a very dismal feeling as I walk around town I feel as if I am watched here and there is so much to explore its almost overwhelming. This town discovery would occur in 1850 and some residents remained here till about 1982. Today everything is abandoned as nature consumes many of the sites. You are looking at over a century of true mining history when prospectors lived harsh life's in order to strike it rich!

Canon EOS 70D Video - Columbia Historic State Park

03:11
Using the Canon EOS 70D DSLR to video 1080p quality footage from Columbia Historic State Park was an awesome experiencet. Canon EOS 70D in video camera mode, does a wonderful job capturing the color, the warmth, and the history of Columbia Historice State Park, old gold mining town, in the Canon HD video quality everyone's used to. Using the Canon 70D auto focus was amazingly easy to use even in manual mode. By having a few settings changed, I was able to have amazing control, unlike capturing video with regular Canon video cameras. Columbia Historic State Park is an Historic Gold Mining Town. To visit drive three miles just north of Sonora, California, off Highway 49. The town's old Gold Rush-era business district has been preserved with shops, restaurants and two hotels. Visitors have the chance to time-travel back to the 1850's, imagining life when gold miners rubbed shoulders with businessmen and the other residents in Columbia. Visitors can experience a bygone era watching proprietors in period clothing conduct business in the style of yesterday. There are opportunities to ride a 100 year-old stagecoach, pan for gold, and explore the real working businesses of Columbia. Visiting this California State Historic park will make you appreciate the grandeur of our wonderful American history. Yet understanding the simplicity in which those whom came before us lived and made it work in the harsh west of those days. Columbia’s streets are lined with a variety of shops and boutiques with many specializing in nineteenth century goods. Restaurants, ice cream parlors, candy stores, saloons, and a tea house stand. Be sure to enjoy a cold bottle of locally made Sarsaparilla to get a taste of the old west and then head over to the portrait studio and dress up for an old-time photo. Visit a working blacksmith shop where you can watch iron being skillfully forged into finished goods through fire, water, and shaping on an anvil. You can also buy a personalized horseshoe souvenir! Whatever your tastes are, there is something for everyone here to enjoy. If nothing else the scenic view travelling up to the Sonora Foothills are enough to captivate the hardest of hearts, where you travel through historic Jamestown, or drive up to Angels Camp, or downtown Sonora. There are free tours, pan for gold, stagecoach rides, and many other treats for everyone to enjoy. A Truly remarkable place! Columbia is also easy on the budget with free admission, free parking, and free guided tours of the town by docents. You can even bowl for free in an antique bowling alley next to the museum! Enjoy a packed lunch at one of the many picnic tables and barbecue grills around the park. With so much to see and do in the area, why not plan an overnight stay for a relaxing and unhurried visit? Several affordable lodging options are available in town including hotels, cottages, cabins, and campgrounds for RV’s and tents. Visit To Calico Ghost Town: Popular Authentic Restored Silver Mining Town

16:41
http://www.hollywoodhaunter.com/ This is a real abandoned mining ghost town fixed up by Walter Knott. Join us for a fun birthday shenanigans at the Knott's Berry Farm sponsored Calico Old Mining Ghost Town in Yermo California located 13 miles east of Barstow in the Mojave Desert in the Calico Mountains. This popular tourist attraction that is a multi colored rocky mountain area produced one of the richest silver strikes in California history back in the 1800s. Back then the population rose to 1,200 people. After three hours of plundering the towns many saloons we paid a quick visit to the Rainbow Basin a natural area that has multi-colored rock formations. I wanted to spend the day doing something different with the birthday girl so I surprised her with this low key relaxing trip out to the desert. We even picked up a few inspirations for our Halloween home haunt decorated yard this year which happens to be an old abandoned western ghost town. We comment along the way as we explore and travel through the town and make prop, haunter, and Halloween references. You will see us explore old buildings, shops, abandoned silver mine called Maggie Shaft, Glory Holes, gold panning, see antique tools and equipment, mystery shacks that make us wheezy and gun slinging fights in the streets. The trip gave us several ideas for building all our Halloween ghost town facades. We didn't stay for the stunning Mojave sunset. Thanks for watching and joining us on this little adventure.
