Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho: Gintong Medalya (One at Heart with Jessica Soho: Medal of Gold)

15:55
Mount Diwata’s mining caves are where hundreds of children begin to know backbreaking work from which few are able to escape until the end of their days. Ditching books and pens, they pitch in early to help find food for their families by joining adults in digging for gold. To encourage parents to keep their children in school, the community’s leaders have come up with a novel way to reward academic excellence: they offer medals made of pure gold. Since 2003, medals of pure Mt. Diwalwal gold have been given to the town’s top graduates. But since the town’s residents belong to the poorest of the poor, most of these medals end up in pawnshops. Fourteen-year-old Jolimae Borbon is set to gradute as the class valedictorian. But even before the gold medal is placed around her neck, she is faced with a dilemma. She and her parents and siblings have been eating rice mixed with soy sauce and cooking oil for too long. Should she keep the medal, or pawn it to buy fried chicken for her family? Illegal Diamond Trade Flourishes in Angola (1996)

Dirty Diamonds (1996): Angola boasts the most dangerous and illegal diamond mines in the world. Subscribe to Journeyman here: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=journeymanpictures# Synopsis: From an aerial view, hundreds of men dot the crater ridden landscape. In small groups, bare chested, knee deep in murky water, they sieve gravel for hours until they spot the glitter of one tiny diamond. In town, we interview an illegal trader who compares diamond dealing to the blood diamond trade in a warzone. He takes out a small paper package from his trouser leg and slowly unwraps a cluster of uncut jewels. He carries them to bribe his way out of any difficult situations. The De Beers diamond cartel is keen to stop the illegal diamond trade. A spokesman maintains that most of Angola's diamonds are smuggled out the country and are therefore denied to the people of Angola. We would like to develop a first class diamond field and build a proper mining operation. In this way the country can be further developed. Local mining companies depend on private security firms to guarantee their safety. While filming, bandits with grenade launchers and machine guns take our reporter by surprise. After much bargaining, she is finally allowed to leave the area. Note: just because it’s found on earth, doesn’t mean it’s from it! 10. Tanzanite 9. Grandiderite 8. Black Opal 7. Taaffeite 6. Alexandrite 5. Musgravite 4. Painite 3. Serendibite 2. Red Diamonds, Pink Star Diamond 1. Jadeite Poudretteite This mineral was first found during the mid-1960’s in the Poudrette quarry of Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec. However, it wasn’t until 1987 that the poudretteite was fully recognized as a new mineral. Even then, this mineral wasn't described in depth until 2003. As stated by several different sources, it’s believed that only a relative few will ever come into contact with this mineral and let alone ever even hear it mentioned. Grandidierite This is considered to be an extremely rare mineral and gem that was first seen in 1902 on the Island of Madagascar. It was named in honor after the French explorer Alfred Grandidier who once studied the island’s natural history. Grandidierite comes in a bluish-green color and is located almost entirely in Madagascar, although, there was a clean faceted sample that was found in Sri Lanka. Grandidierite is also pleochroic, which means it's able to absorb different wavelengths of light differently and that results in different colors, such is the same ability with the gems tanzanite and alexandrite. Painite This gemstone was first discovered back in the 1950’s in Myanmar by a British mineralogist named Arthur C. D. Pain. For the next several decades only two fragments of the hexagonal mineral were known to exist on earth. By the time the year 2005 rolled around, there were still less than 25 discovered pieces of painite and The Guinness Book of World Records had declared it the world's rarest gemstone mineral. However, that was 11 years ago and since then the origin of the original stones has been found, along with two other major locations that have led to the discovery of thousands of small samples of painite fragments. Even so, they’re still considered one of the world’s rarest minerals. Ammolite This rare gemstone can be found mainly in the eastern region of the Rocky Mountains of North America. Ammolite is an opal-like gemstone that is solely made up of the fossilized shells of extinct animals known as ammonites. This makes ammolite one of the few biogenic gemstones that exist, along with pearls and amber. Ammolites weren’t officially recognized as gemstones until 1981 when they were given official status by the World Jewellery Confederation. That’s also the same year that commercial mining for ammolite began. Tanzanite It’s been said that tanzanite is 1,000 times rarer than a diamond, which might as well be the case considering the fact that it can be found almost entirely near the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. This is where the perfect conditions lie in order to form the mineral. Like grandidierite, tanzanite is able to produce striking shifts in color based on the crystal’s orientation and the certain lighting conditions. Caltech's geology division states this is because the color variations are caused by the existence of vanadium ions. Red Diamonds Did you know that diamonds come in a variety of colors? In fact, diamonds can range from being yellow, brown, colorless, blue, green, black, pink, orange, and red. That’s also the same order of how rare each diamond is classified as with yellow being the least and red being the most. Not only that but diamonds are also the hardest natural substances that form here on earth. Just like the colorless diamond, the red diamond is made purely out of carbon, however, what gives the diamond its red color is actually a deformation of their atomic structure that’s known as a “plastic deformation”. The Moussaieff Red is the largest red diamond in the world among the little known other red diamonds that have been discovered. Check out the Most VALUABLE Gemstones Ever Found! Pink Star The Pink Star is the largest diamond in the world to be declared color wise as Fancy Vivid Pink by the Gemological Institute of America. The Pink Star was owned by the Geneva-based Steinmetz Diamond Group, who presented the 59.60 carat diamond to the world via a showing in Monaco in 2003. 10. The Vittle-s-bac Graff Diamond This particular diamond got a bit of a change after it was sold at auction, and people weren't happy about it. The Vittle-s-bac Graff Diamond was bought by the legendary Sir Graff himself, and got the diamond for a little under $25 million dollars. 9. The Sunrise Ruby In regards to the most expensive, or valuable, ruby in the world, there is only one choice, and that's the Sunrise Ruby. Why? Well, because when it was sold at an auction, it was valued and sold at $30 million dollars. There are some in the world who even value it as the "rarest of all gemstones". Some even go so far as to label it a "unique treasure of nature." 8. The Graff Pink Diamond Pink diamonds are one of the most valuable diamonds in the world today, and one of the most valued ones ever is the Graff Pink Diamond. The diamond was once owned by Harry Winston, who kept the diamond for over 60 years. The 24.78 carat diamond was very special in numerous ways. 7. Oppen-hi-mer Blue Diamond While colored diamonds are rare and special, few are as rare as the Oppen-hi-mer Blue Diamond. Why? Well, it's a pure blue that is just not found in nature very often, so to find this on a diamond of any size makes it special. Now, as for its owner, it used to be owned by one Sir Philip Oppenheimer, hence how the stone got its name. 6. De Beers Cent-en-ary Diamond The De Beers Cent-en-ary Diamond breaks the bank in many ways when it was appraised at $100 million dollars. Making it one of the most valuable diamonds in the history of the world. But its history is also important. 5. The Star of Adam When it comes to sapphires, there are simple versions, and then there are rare versions. One of the rarest of the gemstone is the Blue Star Sapphire, and in 2016, a man in Sri Lanka found the biggest one in the world. How big was it? Well, it was 1,404 carats. And though the owner remains anonymous, he values the massive blue sapphire at a whopping $300 million dollars. 4. Hope Diamond The legendary Hope Diamond is legendary for numerous reasons. First and foremost, it's an incredibly valuable blue diamond, one measured to be 45.52 carats. In total, it's worth is approximately 350 million dollars. But while it is valuable, the "curse" of the object is arguably what people associate it more with. 3. The Cull-ee-nun The Cull-ee-nun has the honor of being the biggest rough diamond ever discovered in the world. It was in a South African mine in 1905, one that happened to be owned by diamond magnate Sir Thomas Cull-ee-nun 2. The Ba-Hee-ah Emerald Here is an emerald with a very interesting history, one that has seen it nearly destroyed, stolen, and so much more. The Ba-Hee-ah Emerald was found in Brazil, near Bahia, hence the name. It is one of the world's largest uncut emeralds, which just adds to its value and beauty to some. It is so untouched in terms of refinement that it's actually embedded in rock, but it's estimated to be 341kg. 1. Koh-ee-nor Diamond The Koh-ee-nor is not only one of the most valuable diamond in the world, it's arguably the most controversial. As it was given to England under controversial circumstances, then placed as the headpiece of the literal Crown to the Queen. Some view it as priceless, others view it at around $200 million, and others view it as high as 1 billion dollars.

In greek with french subtitles. Bon voyage.

Please watch: "Top 10 female singer 2015 highest paid singers I Richest singer" ➨ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XS0jd406K8 -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- he Bingham Canyon Mine, also known as the Kennecott Copper Mine, is an open-pit mining operation extracting a large porphyry copper deposit southwest of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, in the Oquirrh Mountains. The mine is owned by Rio Tinto Group, an international mining and exploration company headquartered in the United Kingdom. The copper operations at Bingham Canyon Mine are managed through Kennecott Utah Copper Corporation which operates the mine, a concentrator plant, a smelter, and a refinery. The mine has been in production since 1906, and has resulted in the creation of a pit over 0.6 miles (0.97 km) deep, 2.5 miles (4 km) wide, and covering 1,900 acres (770 ha). It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966 under the name Bingham Canyon Open Pit Copper Mine. The mine experienced a massive landslide in April of 2013 and a smaller slide in September of 2013. Udachnaya was discovered on June 15, 1955, just two days after the discovery of the diamond pipe Mir by Soviet geologist Vladimir Shchukin and his team. It is more than 600 metres (1,970 ft) deep, making it the third deepest open-pit mine in the world (after Bingham Canyon Mine and Chuquicamata). The nearby settlement of Udachny is named for the deposit. As of 2010, Udachnaya pipe is controlled by Russian diamond company Alrosa, which planned to halt open-pit mining in favor of underground mining in 2010. The mine has estimated reserves of 225.8 million carats of diamonds and an annual production capacity of 10.4 million carats Chuquicamata, or "Chuqui" as it is more familiarly known, is by excavated volume the biggest open pit copper mine in the world, located in the north of Chile, just outside of Calama, 215 km northeast of Antofagasta and 1,240 km north of the capital, Santiago. The mine is owned and operated by Codelco, a Chilean state enterprise, since the Chilean nationalization of copper in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Its depth of 850 metres (2,790 ft) makes it the second deepest open-pit mine in the world (after Bingham Canyon Mine in Utah, USA). The Diavik Diamond Mine is a diamond mine in the North Slave Region of the Northwest Territories, Canada, about 300 kilometres (190 mi) north of Yellowknife. It has become an important part of the regional economy, employing 700, grossing C$100 million in sales, and producing approximately 7.5 million carats (1,500 kg (3,300 lb)) of diamonds annually.[2] The area was surveyed in 1992 and construction began in 2001, with production commencing in January 2003. It is connected by an ice road and Diavik Airport with a 5,235 ft (1,596 m) gravel runway regularly accommodating Boeing 737 jet aircraft. The Grasberg Mine is the largest gold mine and the third largest copper mine in the world. It is located in the province of Papua in Indonesia near Puncak Jaya, the highest mountain in Papua, and it has 19,500 employees. It is majority owned through a subsidiary by Freeport-McMoRan, which owns 90.64% of PT Freeport Indonesia, the principal operating subsidiary in Indonesia, including 9.36% owned through its wholly owned subsidiary, PT Indocopper Investama. The Government of Indonesia owns the remaining 9.36% of PT Freeport Indonesia. FCX operates under an agreement with the Government of Indonesia, which allows Freeport to conduct exploration, mining and production activities in a 24,700-acre area (Block A). It also conducts exploration activities in an approximate 500,000-acre area (Block B). All of Freeport's proven and probable mineral reserves and current mining operations are located in Block A. The 2006 production was 610,800 tonnes of copper; 58,474,392 grams of gold; and 174,458,971 grams of silver. Treasures of Mapungubwe

01:00
Unique Mapungubwe Gold Collection unveiled for the first time in history. Perspectives on Africa are about to change, given the unveiling of the largest collection of gold archeological treasures at the tip of the African continent. History of the african included in educational curricula, to date, often focused on the AD 1600 era and beyond, with a key focus on exploration around the tip of Africa and subsequent colonialisation of Africa. We have entered a new era, where the artefacts from Mapungubwe Hill discovered in 1933, of which many items are unveiled for the first time after restoration, will shape perception, the significance, scope and richness of african heritage. These artefacts reflect highly developed and advanced craftmanship involved in the creation of the striking artworks and adornments between 700 and 1000 years ago. The Mapungubwe gold collection reflects a rare, but very rich and sophisticated treasure. The golden rhinoceros, the gold headdress or vessel and the gold sceptre are artefacts previously associated with Mapungubwe. Less information has, however, been previously available on the fact that from one grave, the so-called gold grave, more then 100 gold anklets, about 12 000 gold beads, other gold fragments, 26 037 trade glass beads and several pots were uncovered. The gold treasures are associated with the first, but short-lived Iron Age African state of Mapungubwe, where indigenous metallurgy reached its height of technical excellence and creativity in the thirtheenth century (AD 1220 to AD 1290) says Sian Tiley-Nel, curator of the Mapungubwe Museum situated at the University of Pretoria. When discovered around 1933, the Royal Mint in Pretoria estimated the gold to be almost 100% pure, calculating the total weight recovered to be about 6 to 9 kilograms of gold. For the first time in history, the public can view the once forgotten, but recently-conserved and some never-before-seen objects of Mapungubwe. Of great interest are the indigenous techniques that signify Mapungubwes decorative royal regalia. The gold collection consists of 117 gold bracelets, 139 gold necklaces, 133 gold canular coiled anklets and about 40 fragmentary curious shapes. The most significant treasures as insignia of royalty are the three gold animal figurines: a gold rhino, gold feline (possibly a leapard) and gold bovine (possibly cattle). As investors in the gold mining industry through Wits Gold, and the inner city of Johannesburg through the Johannesburg Land Company, Adam Fleming and John Dewar shared the vision of restoration of this unique collection. The Fleming family invested in the restoration of the collection by the South African Institute for Objects conservation. Fleming states that this collection is a living testament to the breathtaking metal working skills possessed by the indigenous South African people who lived at Mapungubwe over 1000 years ago. According to Stephan Welz, esteemed international art auctioneer, the significance of Mapungubwe lies also in the extensive trade practices through the East Africa ports with the Middle East, India and China dating back more than 700 years. Mapungubwe, declared a World Heritage site in 2003, graphically illustrates the impact of climate change and record the growth and then decline of the Kingdom of Mapungubwe, a clear record of a culture that became vulnerable to irreversible change. Japan's Dark History Of Persecuting The Disabled

25:22
Japan's Disability Shame: After the Second World War, the Japanese government actively sought to cull its disabled population through a program of forced sterilisation. Disabilities have remained greatly stigmatised ever since. Subscribe to Journeyman here: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=journeymanpictures "He was cut four centimetres deep in the stomach." In 2016, Chikiko Ono's son Kazuya was one of many injured in Japan's biggest mass killing since WW2, when a former employee of a disabled care home ran through the building murdering 19 residents and injuring a further 27. The event testifies to the severe stigma surrounding disability in Japan today, which for Kazuya's father only increases his fear of "society's look of disdain and criticism". In 2020, however, Tokyo will be the world's first city to host the Paralympic Games for a second time, an event the Japanese government hopes will raise awareness for its 7 million citizens living with disability. For hopeful athlete Hajimu Ashida, competing "will mean breaking through all kinds of obstacles... I’m trying to remove the disability label". 13 Rarest Gemstones and Minerals Ever Seen

08:08
Here are the 13 most rare and valuable gemstones and minerals ever seen in the world like the blye Benitoite and red diamonds! Subscribe for new videos Monday Wednesday and Friday! 8. Jeremejevite This mineral was discovered way back in 1883 by a French mineralogist named Augustin Alexis Damour, who named it after the Russian scientist Pavel Vladimirovich Eremeev. The crystal was found on Mt. Soktui in Siberia, Russia. Since then, it has been described as being found in the Eifel District of Germany and in the Pamir Mountains in Namibia. This rare aluminum borate mineral is comprised of variable hydroxide and fluoride ions. 7. Poudretteite This mineral was first found during the mid-1960’s in the Poudrette quarry of Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec. However, it wasn’t until 1987 that the poudretteite was fully recognized as a new mineral. Even then, this mineral wasn't described in depth until 2003. Even so, they’re still considered one of the world’s rarest minerals. 4. Red Beryl Also known as bixbite, "red emerald", or "scarlet emerald", red beryl was first reported as far back as 1904. Even though its chemical compound is closely similar to that of aquamarines and emeralds, it’s actually considered to be rarer than both of them. What gives the mineral its red color palette is thanks to the presence of ManganeseⅢ+ ions. It can be found in parts of New Mexico and Utah where it’s actually proven to be quite difficult to mine. Because of this, prices for red beryl are known to reach high levels and have even gone on to be around 10,000 per karat for stones. 3. 2. 1.

Chinese Americans: Political, Social, Economic, and Cultural History - Iris Chang (2003)

57:19
Chinese American history is the history of Chinese Americans or the history of ethnic Chinese in the United States. Chinese immigration to the U.S. consisted of three major waves, with the first beginning in the 19th century. About the book: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0142004170/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0142004170&linkCode=as2&tag=tra0c7-20&linkId=82c80a93c28abfd7b70ad771219a93ae Chinese immigrants in the 19th century worked as laborers, particularly on the transcontinental railroad, such as the Central Pacific Railroad. They also worked as laborers in the mining industry, and suffered racial discrimination at every level of society. While industrial employers were eager to get this new and cheap labor, the ordinary white public was stirred to anger by the presence of this "yellow peril." Despite the provisions for equal treatment of Chinese immigrants in the 1868 Burlingame Treaty, political and labor organizations rallied against the immigration of what they regarded as a degraded race and "cheap Chinese labor." Newspapers condemned the policies of employers, and even church leaders denounced the entrance of these aliens into what was regarded as a land for whites only. So hostile was the opposition that in 1882 the United States Congress eventually passed the Chinese Exclusion Act, which prohibited immigration from China for the next ten years. This law was then extended by the Geary Act in 1892. The Chinese Exclusion Act was the only U.S. law ever to prevent immigration and naturalization on the basis of race. These laws not only prevented new immigration but also brought additional suffering as they prevented the reunion of the families of thousands of Chinese men already living in the U.S. (that is, men who had left China without their wives and children); anti-miscegenation laws in many states prohibited Chinese men from marrying white women. In 1924 the law barred further entries of Chinese; those already in the United States had been ineligible for citizenship since the previous year. Also by 1924, all Asian immigrants (except people from the Philippines, which had been annexed by the United States in 1898) were utterly excluded by law, denied citizenship and naturalization, and prevented from marrying Caucasians or owning land.[3] Only since the 1940s when the US and China became allies during World War II, did the situation for Chinese Americans begin to improve, as restrictions on entry into the country, naturalization and mixed marriage were being lessened. In 1943, Chinese immigration to the U.S. was once again permitted — by way of the Magnuson Act — thereby repealing 61 years of official racial discrimination against the Chinese. Large-scale Chinese immigration did not occur until 1965 when the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965[4] lifted national origin quotas.[5] After World War II, anti-Asian prejudice began to decrease, and Chinese immigrants, along with other Asians (such as Japanese, Koreans, Indians and Vietnamese), have adapted and advanced. Currently, the Chinese constitute the largest ethnic group of Asian Americans (about 22%), and have confounded earlier expectations that they would form an indigestible mass in American society.[citation needed] For example, many Chinese Americans of American birth may know little or nothing about traditional Chinese culture, just as European Americans and African Americans may know little or nothing about the original cultures of their ancestors. As of the 2010 United States Census, there are more than 3.3 million Chinese in the United States — about 1% of the total population. The influx continues, where each year ethnic Chinese people from the People's Republic of China, Taiwan and to a lesser extent Southeast Asia move to the US, surpassing Hispanic and Latino immigration by 2012. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_American_history

The Truth About Operation Blessing

01:53
Operation Blessing is a front for Evangelical Pat Robertson. The founder of Operation Blessing and the 700 Club has used funds and resources from Operation Blessing to support his 8 million dollar investment in a Liberian gold mine. He has also used OB as a platform to support Criminals and human rights violators like Liberia's Charles Taylor and Congo's Mobutu. Why were OB airplanes transporting mining equipment to the Congo when they were supposed to be shipping food and medicines? When you see videos like this please remember that OB is in fact a front for a hatemongerer who's greed knows to bounds. If you want to know more I suggest the following links. Fighting the Islamic State with Iraq’s Golden Division: The Road to Fallujah

30:05
In 2014, Islamic State militants swept into Western Iraq's Anbar Province, overrunning Iraqi security forces, enslaving minorities, and causing thousands to flee for their lives. The jihadist group captured Iraq’s largest city, Mosul, and the cities of Ramadi and Fallujah, where hundreds of US troops died fighting the Islamic State’s predecessor. Now, two years later, the Iraqi security forces, with help from Iranian-supported Shiite militias and US military advisors and warplanes, are fighting to take back towns and cities in Anbar, one battle at a time. But it’s a difficult task: Anbar has been the crucible of Iraq’s insurgency, and is the country’s Sunni heartland — long marginalized by and hostile to the Shiite-led government in Baghdad. VICE News embedded with Iraq’s Golden Division Special Forces unit as they fought their way into the villages surrounding the city of Hit, where they encountered ambushes, sniper fire, and tried to sort suspected Islamic State operatives and sympathizers from innocent Iraqi civilians. Sundaland is in the tropics, surrounded by oceans, and within the Ring of Fire, where a large number of volcanic eruptions occur. Benefitting from the heavy precipitation, volcanic deposits in Sundaland develop into some of the richest forestry and agricultural lands, and developed into some of the richest fauna on Earth. The “Out of Africa” hypothesis is a theory that argues that every modern human being is descended from a small group in Africa, who then dispersed into the wider world. Most versions of the southern dispersal hypothesis suggests that modern humans left Africa between 130,000 and 70,000 years ago, and traveled along the coasts of Arabia, India and Sundaland, arriving in Australia by 50,000 to 40,000 years ago. The “Out of Sundaland” migration model argues that the origin of the Austronesian speakers is in the islands of Southeast Asia. Ideal climatic conditions and natural resources for development were found in Sundaland. After migrating from the semi-deserted savannas of Africa, man first found a place where food was abundant and it was there that they invented farming, agriculture, trading and civilization, which made humanity first flourished. A striking thing that can be observed in this model is the dispersal of population to the other part of the world about 11,000 years ago. An unusual event was happened here. The event is detected from the observation data. The change of the world temperature made the ice on the north pole to melt and the sea level continued to rise. Cracks in the earth’s crust as the weight of the ice shifted to the seas could set off catastrophic events. The most significant one is at the end of the Younger Dryas period. Earthquakes, volcano eruptions, super waves and floods engulfed the coastal cultures and all the flat continental shelves of Sundaland, and wiped out many populations. As the sea rolled in, there was a mass migration of the survivors from the sinking continent. From the legends, myths and tales, Sundaland has many names, among others are Garden of Eden, Paradise, Dilmun, Nippur, Nisir, Neserser, Ta Netjer, Land of Punt, Land of Ophir, Atlantis, Kumari Kandam, Pandya, Kangdez, Tollan and Siwan, Taprobana, and Golden Khersonese. The Destruction of Atlantis Plato mentioned that the island of Atlantis was beset, in a night and a day, by an earthquake and a flood in a night and a day, 9,000 years before Solon, or about 11,600 years ago. This accurately coincided with the cataclysm at the end of the Younger Dryas period. In some other his explanations, it is implied that the flood was coming from the sea, so the possibility is a tsunami. Plato did not recognize “tsunami” so he equated it to “flood”. Earthquakes and tsunamis are very often correlated. Frequent and significant earthquakes, tsunamis and volcano eruptions took place in Southeast Asia, one of the most complex tectonic region on Earth. Tsunami are known for their dramatic run-up heights, can also be excited or amplified in height considerably in shallow waters and on flat plains, and can oscillate back and forth within harbors and bays. We could speculate that the destruction of Atlantis was among others caused by a tsunami in this region. It was due to the tsunami waves traveling in shallow water, that was the ancient Java Sea, and penetrated inland on a very flat plain. The ancient Java Sea was forming a gulf, which could cause the wave became much higher and prolonged, and destructive. Plato also describes that the lands of Atlantis and “the Athens” were sunken ceaselessly afterwards. This is in line with the recent knowledge of post-glacial sea level rise. The sea level kept on rising until about 6,000 years ago, sinking the low lands as well as low plains in Sundaland. The ruin of the Atlantis city and its story were buried forever under the sea. Then, it was remembered by the Egyptians who migrated from there, and wrote them on their sacred registers. More articles at www.atlantisjavasea.com

If Plato knows, then he will tell. After thousands of years, so many of us still search for the answer to the mystery of Atlantis. From time to time, archaeologists and historians locate evidence. There have been many locations proposed for the location of Atlantis. Ever since the first recorded history of Atlantis, written by the Greek philosopher Plato over 2,300 years ago, debate has raged as to whether or not Atlantis ever really existed. The existence of Atlantis is supported by the fact that it is described in great details by Plato. In additions, various conditions, events and goods unknown to Plato are also described in detailed and lengthy words. Plato himself asserts that it is a real story. The first suggested linkage between Atlantis and Indonesia came from the leading Theosophist, CW Leadbeater, and the Lieutenant-Governor of British Java, Thomas Stamford Raffles, in the 19th century. One of the first researchers to Atlantis there, in the mid 1990s, is the American polymath William Lauritzen. The concept of Sundaland Atlantis was given a huge boost by the publication of the late Brazilian professor Arysio Nunes dos Santos’ book “Atlantis: The Lost Continent Finally Found” in 2005. The prehistoric flooding of the Sundaland region is covered extensively by a paediatrician and geneticist, Stephen Oppenheimer in 1998. The atlantology of Sundaland hypothesis is also flanked by the studies of the geologist and geophysicist, Robert M Schoch together with Robert Aquinas McNally in 2003. Other proponents of the Sundaland Atlantis are Zia Abbas, Sunil Prasannan and Danny Hilman Natawidjaja. The recent knowledge of late glacial and postglacial sea level rise and land subsidence that occurred almost precisely at the time described by Plato also becomes strong evidence to the truth of the story. Plato describes Atlantis from the point of views of geography, climate, plain layout, city layout, river and channel hydraulics, produces, social structure, customs, mythology and its destruction in details including their dimensions and orientations. These become the subjects of Dhani Irwanto to hypothesize that the lost city of Atlantis is in Java Sea, as written in a book “Atlantis: The lost city is in Java Sea”, published in April 2015. The works include over 5-year research and analysis of textbooks, papers, internet sites and digital data collected by the author as well as some site observations. The author has made a serious effort to match Plato’s narrative with his chosen location for Atlantis, namely off the southern coast of the island of Kalimantan in the Java Sea. He also uses his professional expertise to analyse Plato’s many references to the waterways of the Atlantis capital and its extensive plain. He commendably draws attention to the remarkable water transportation and irrigation system in Central Kalimantan. He found a lot more detailed converging evidence, summarized in a 60-bullet checklist of agreements between Plato’s Atlantis and Sundaland/Java Sea localization, as proofs that his theory is the most complete and probable until today. KX - 01 24 2017 DYING MAN TREASURE AND MINES

02:26
Teezer. Deciphering ancient coded sites in the South West US. This site we call Dying man. It was mined and mapped in great antiquity and again and again through time. Carefully hidden and coded each time. The monuments I show here would have been installed by Jesuits during Early Spanish occupations. However they were not the last, an attempt by the KGC to re enter the mine structure obviously failed due to water traps. Depths of over 1,200' are indicated in the complex coded template layout of the site. People these days recognize me for my work on the Bigfoot enigma etc.... But for going on 34 years now, this was my expertise. Not just in the finding and decoding, but in the excavation and entry, even recovery. This is a tiny fraction and does not demonstrate the complexity... But watch close in the near future as complete breakdowns, the math and finds will be presented. Enjoy.

Minero sa partylist

01:23
Only MINERO can. That's why we have to vote MINERO as our party list. MINERO believes • That people and the environment are created by God and should therefore be protected, developed and enriched • That miners have the right to life and a fair livelihood • That the Filipino people have the primary right to the nation's wealth and natural resources • That miners should not only protect the environment but respond to environmental and man-made disasters to save people's lives • July 1990: Baguio City: earthquake: MINERO saves Hyatt Terraces guests trapped inside fallen building • December 2003: San Francisco, Southern Leyte: flood & massive soil erosion: MINERO to the rescue • November 2004: Real, Infanta at Nakar sa Quezon: Typhoon Wanie: child, grandmother and two teenage boys, buried in mud inside fallen building, saved • February 2005: Ginsaugon, Southern Leyte: a foreign rescuer saved from collapsed building • December 2005: Albay: Typhoon Reming: towns of Busang, Daraga, Guinobatan and Legaspi City buried in mud: 104 miners from MINERO find 83 dead and save 6 buried alive; in Daraga, one month's supply of water is provided to stave of thirst with water supply cut off MINERO is 104 years old! Modern mining began in Benguet in 1903. In 1938, the Baguio Mine Operations Safety Association or BMOSA was established. Eight major mines in the Baguio Mining District started it. This later became the Philippine Mining Safety and Environment Association, or PMSEA, the basis of MINERO. The main aim of BMOSA and PMSEA: to ensure the SAFETY and WELFARE of MINERS. Vision Ernie Rodriguez: MINERO Vision We have a vision for the Philippines. Just imagine for a moment a Philippines that is so rich, it is debt-free. A Philippines where the Filipinos are proud to be called Filipinos. A Philippines whose passport can go anywhere without a visa. A Philippines which can be a lending country—in our lifetime. A Philippines that is so economically rich that we can give many opportunities to our people. A Philippines so blessed, it is a blessing to other countries. With MNERO, these are possible. All of these things are possible within our lifetime. As you know, our country is rich in mineral resources. We have 30 million hectares of land, and one-third of that is highly mineralized. One-third means 10 million hectares. Of those 10 million hectares, only 1.5 percent has been explored. Even so, the 1.5 percent that has been explored is already equivalent to one trillion dollars—more than enough to pay our foreign debt and become a lending country in our lifetime. This does not count our mineral wealth in 2.2 million square kilometers of offshore waters, among which are not only the common minerals that we know but also oil and unlimited quantities of the "fuel of the future," deuterium. The Philippines is known to be the third in the world in terms of gold deposits. We are number 5 in nickel, number 6 in chromite, and number 10 in copper. Not to mention platinum and other minerals on top of what was just mentioned. So we have the capability to be a rich country. But the irony is that we are a rich nation with poor people. We are a rich nation where our people are hungry. One out of five Filipinos goes hungry. That's about 20 percent of our population. We have the second highest malnutrition rate in the world—second only to Africa. And we're also a country in debt. Half of our billion-peso budget goes to debt servicing. In Deuteronomy 8:7-11, God gives Israel a land rich in biodiversity, where stones are made of iron and we may dig copper, so that there will always be food on the table. And when there is food on the table, we can fulfill the reason why we were created—to always praise and worship the Lord. So all of these things are given by the Lord for our own use—to mine the minerals so that we may have food on our table. But again, we have to do this responsibly—we cannot just mine and mine without taking care of the environment. First and foremost, we should take care of the environment so that we can get the mineral wealth. As stated in Haggai 2:8, "The gold is mine, thus declares the Lord." So all of these things belong to the Lord. Our job is to be good stewards of what belong to the Lord. The Lord told us to take dominion; so if we are to take dominion, we have to be good stewards of the mineral wealth that belongs to the Lord. It's a very exciting thing to know that our country can transform itself in our lifetime to be a blessing to its people. Once again we would like to ask you to be our partners in this movement to transform the nation into a blessed country so that we can be a blessing to other peoples and to the whole world. Vote MINERO as your Party List on May 14!

VICE on HBO Season One: Guns & Ammo (Episode 3)

29:02

Making Money in the Stock Market: Peter Lynch on Investing in the U.S. Economy (1994)

01:00:53
Lynch was hired as an intern with Fidelity Investments in 1966 partly because he had been caddying for Fidelity's president (among others) at Brae Burn Country Club in Newton, Massachusetts. His books: https://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8&tag=tra0c7-20&linkCode=ur2&linkId=3b48025d1814359a6c8c23be0af1968e&camp=1789&creative=9325&index=books&keywords=peter%20lynch He initially covered the paper, chemical, and publishing industries, and when he returned after a two-year Army stint he was hired permanently in 1969. This time Lynch was charged with following the textiles, metals, mining, and chemicals industries, eventually becoming Fidelity's director of research from 1974 to 1977. In 1977, Lynch was named head of the then obscure Magellan Fund which had $18 million in assets. By the time Lynch resigned as a fund manager in 1990, the fund had grown to more than $14 billion in assets with more than 1,000 individual stock positions. From 1977 until 1990, the Magellan fund averaged a 29.2% return and as of 2003 had the best 20-year return of any mutual fund ever. Lynch's achieved dollar successes in a range of stocks including (by order of profit achieved - source is Beating the Street): Fannie Mae, Ford, Philip Morris, MCI, Volvo, General Electric, General Public Utilities, Student Loan Marketing, Kemper, and Lowe's. Lynch was described as "legendary" by Jason Zweig in his 2003 update of The Intelligent Investor. Lynch has written (with co-author John Rothchild) three texts on investing, including One Up on Wall Street (ISBN 0671661035), Beating the Street (ISBN 0671759159), and Learn to Earn. The last-named book was written for beginning investors of all ages, mainly teenagers. In essence, One Up served as theory while Beating the Street is application. One Up lays out Lynch's investment technique including chapters devoted to stock classifications, the two-minute drill, famous numbers, and designing a portfolio. Most of Beating the Street consists of an extensive stock by stock discussion of Lynch's 1992 Barron's Magazine selections, essentially providing an illustration of the concepts previously discussed. As such, both books represent study material for investors of any knowledge level or ability. Lynch also wrote a series of investment articles for Worth magazine that expand on many of the concepts and companies mentioned in the books. Lynch coined some of the best known mantras of modern individual investing strategies. His most famous investment principle is simply, "Invest in what you know," popularizing the economic concept of "local knowledge". This simple principle resonates well with average non-professional investors who don't have time to learn complicated quantitative stock measures or read lengthy financial reports. Since most people tend to become expert in certain fields, applying this basic "invest in what you know" principle helps individual investors find good undervalued stocks. Lynch uses this principle as a starting point for investors. He has also often said that the individual investor is more capable of making money from stocks than a fund manager, because they are able to spot good investments in their day-to-day lives before Wall Street. Throughout his two classic investment primers, he has outlined many of the investments he found when not in his office - he found them when he was out with his family, driving around or making a purchase at the mall. Lynch believes the individual investor is able to do this, too. He also coined the phrase "ten bagger" in a financial context. This refers to an investment which is worth ten times its original purchase price and comes from baseball where "bags" or "bases" that a runner reaches are the measure of the success of a play. A "two bagger" would be a double, so by extension, two home runs and a double would be a "ten bagger". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Lynch

King Solomon's Mines (1985) Movie Review

16:45
King Solomon's Mines is a 1985 action adventure film, the fourth of five film adaptations of the 1885 novel of the same name by Henry Rider Haggard. It stars Richard Chamberlain, Sharon Stone, Herbert Lom and John Rhys-Davies. It was adapted by Gene Quintano and James R. Silke and directed by J. Lee Thompson. This version of the story was a light, comedic take, deliberately referring to, and parodying Indiana Jones (in which franchise actor Rhys-Davies appeared in two installments). It was filmed outside Harare in Zimbabwe.[citation needed] It was followed by a sequel (filmed back-to-back) Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold (1987) and by a yet un-produced sequel, Allan Quatermain and the Jewel of the East.

Unlike the traditional ethnic gangs, these new street gangs model themselves on LA gangsters and are attracting younger and younger recruits. He spends his time; "stealing bikes, drinking", although he has given up smoking. It's estimated there are 2,000 young gang members in Auckland. The problem has become so serious that some politicians are calling for all gangs to be banned. "We should be simply outlawing them and making it illegal for anyone to be a member of a named gang". But criminologist Greg Newbold believes this; "could never, ever succeed". While political debate rages, some youth workers are taking matters into their own hands. They drive around the gang hotspots trying to befriend the vulnerable kids.
