Popping giant burn blister

06:47
A blister: is a small pocket of body fluid 'lymph, serum, plasma, blood, or pus' within the upper layers of the skin, typically caused by forceful rubbing, burning, freezing, chemical exposure or infection. Most blisters are filled with a clear fluid, either serum or plasma. However, blisters can be filled with blood known as "blood blisters" or with pus if they become infected .. Most blisters caused by friction or minor burns do not require a doctor's care. New skin will form underneath the affected area and the fluid is simply absorbed. ... The fluid-filled blister keeps the underlying skin clean, which prevents infection and promotes healing .. If the burned skin or blisters have broken open, a bandage is needed. To further help prevent infection, apply a clean bandage whenever your bandage gets wet or soiled. If a bandage is stuck to a burn, soak it in warm water to make the bandage easier to remove .. Results after Rhinophyma Treatment, Mr Gold

04:27
Oops! I meant to publish this tomorrow, but I guess I'll let it go since this is a continuation of the video I published earlier today! I'll put up the thumbnail Monday, and if you need more information about this procedure please see the descriptions from the previous videos! Thank you for watching! To see part 1, Treatment of his Rhinophyma: https://youtu.be/NgQSxxBJ_qs Part 2, Treatment of his Rhinphyma: https://youtu.be/o2iDph1l5os This is "Mr Gold" who has a medical condition called rhinophyma which causes thickening or the skin on his nose. Many people are asking about whether he was in pain after treatment and I would describe the discomfort similar to a rug burn? No pain medication is needed. It's important to keep the area moist with antibiotic ointment as it heals which can take a couple weeks. I will try to post how he looks 3 weeks after this treatment TOMORROW. Also, yes I was really sick! I got the flu and it knocked me out! Rhinophyma, is a component of rosacea (a pretty common condition especially among people of Celtic descent), but it is more commonly seen in men vs women, and predominantly affects the nose, causing thickening of the skin of the nose, and dilated, patulous pores. The thickening of the skin of the nose is due to a excess production of sebaceous glands (oil glands). While by no means is this a life-threatening condition, it can be embarrassing to those who have it. Rosacea and rhinophyma occurs most commonly in people of Celtic descent, with light hair and light eyes and this type of light skin complexion is actually beneficial in terms of healing when treating rhinophyma with electrosurgery as you see me do here. Essentially I'm using an electric current to deliver heat to "cut" through skin tissue while cauterizing blood vessels at the same time. I use a wire loop, circular cautery device to allow me to re-sculpt the nostril as close to what I believe it looks like before the area thickened due to this condition. I will post an update on my YouTube channel so you can see how he looks now, but if you can't wait, visit my Instagram @drpimplepopper or @drsandralee to see how wonderful he looks now. I'm ecstatic about the results but most importantly so is he! One important thing to know: rosacea and rhinophyma are not caused be alcoholism.. rosacea can be exacerbated by many factors, most commonly spicy foods, sunlight, exercise, caffeine, chocolate, alcohol, but these do not cause the condition of rosacea and rhinophyma. 15 Ways to Get Rid of DUST MITES Quickly

06:06
House dust mites are tiny creatures, about a quarter of a millimetre long. They live off human skin scales which have been partially digested by moulds and thrive in humid environments. Mites are found in bedding, carpets, soft furnishings and clothing. In people allergic to dust mite, it is often not the mite itself but proteins in their droppings which cause the allergy. Each mite produces about 20 of these waste droppings every day and the droppings continue to cause allergic symptoms even after the mite has died. House dust mite allergy is very common and is associated with asthma, eczema and perennial allergic rhinitis. A significant amount of exposure to house dust mite allergen happens in the bed, so taking precautions in the bedroom by using allergy-proof covers on bedding, washing it regularly can sometimes help, although clinical trials suggest that multiple measures need to be taken, possibly including the use of chemicals called acaricides, in order to see an effect. However, remember that dust mite allergen is found in all rooms of the house, on the floor and in soft furnishings, not just in the bedroom. Measures to avoid house dust mite will lower, but do not totally remove, dust mite allergens. Often, this will be sufficient to significantly improve symptoms, but sometimes, the reduction may simply not be enough to result in a noticeable difference. There is no way to predict whether someone will benefit from avoidance measures, except by trying them. Remember that it is better to properly carry out several allergen avoidance measures in order to see an improvement in symptoms. Just doing one or two things half-heartedly may not make any difference. Controlling house dust mite allergens At home: Most efforts at controlling dust mites should be aimed at areas of the home where you spend most of your time and where dust mite load is greatest, i.e. bedrooms and living areas. Use allergen-proof barrier covers on all mattresses, duvets and pillows. These should be breathable and should completely enclose the item. Buy products that have been tested to make sure that they prevent the escape of house dust mite allergen. Wash all bedding that is not encased in barrier covers (e.g. sheets, blankets) every week. Washing at 60 degrees centigrade or above will kill mites. House dust mite allergen dissolves in water so washing at lower temperatures will wash the allergen away temporarily, but the mites will survive and produce more allergen after a while. Allergic children should not sleep in the bottom bunk bed where allergen can fall onto them. If possible remove all carpeting in the bedroom. Vacuum hard floors regularly with a high-filtration vacuum cleaner (see below). Remove all carpeting from concrete floors. Such floors trap moisture allowing dust mites and mould spores to thrive. Seal the floor with a vapour barrier, and then cover it with a washable surface such as vinyl or linoleum. There are certain types of flooring designed to prevent allergen build up (details of suitable floorings are available from Allergy UK). Where carpets cannot be removed, vacuum regularly with a high-filtration vacuum cleaner. Use a high-temperature steam-cleaner to kill mites effectively. Products are available that can be sprayed on carpets to kill mites; these are effective but should be used with care if you suffer from respiratory symptoms, and should not be used in areas where children play on the carpet, or on soft toys or pillows. Use a high-filtration vacuum cleaner with filters capable of retaining a high proportion of the smallest particles (HEPA filter, S-class filter or similar). Details of suitable vacuum cleaners are available from Allergy UK. Damp-wipe all surfaces each week (pelmet tops, window sills, tops of cupboards and so forth). Use light washable cotton curtains, and wash them frequently. Reduce unnecessary soft furnishings Vacuum all surfaces of upholstered furniture at least twice a week. Washable stuffed toys should be washed as frequently and at the same temperature as bedding. Alternatively, if the toy cannot be washed at 60 degrees place it in a plastic bag in the freezer for at least 12 hours once a month and then wash at the recommended temperature. Reduce humidity by increasing ventilation. Use trickle-vents in double-glazing, or open windows. Use extract fans in bathrooms and kitchens. If necessary use a dehumidifier to keep indoor humidity under 50% (but over 30%)

12 Surprising Uses Of Vicks Vaporub You Didn't Know About This

05:14
12 Surprising Uses Of Vicks Vaporub You Didn't Know About This. Vicks is an age-old mentholated topical cream intended to relieve head, throat, and chest stuffiness but did you know it can do more than relieve chest congestion? Vicks VapoRub has been around for over 100 years and is one of the most widely used over-the-counter decongestants. Lately, there抯 been a lot of buzz about unique and unconventional ways to use this odiferous ointment. You抣l be surprised to learn that Vicks is a supposed treatment for so much more than just a congested chest. . 1. Decongest Your Chest. The most common use of Vicks is to decongest your chest and throat area. When applied to the upper chest, it provides excellent relief of cough and congestion symptoms. 2. On Your Tootsies. Applying Vicks to your feet provides nighttime cough relief. Generously rub VapoRub all over your feet and cover them with socks. Within moments your cough will subside梚n the morning you抣l wake up a new, hacking free woman. 3. Achy Breaky Muscles. Vicks relieves sore, overworked muscles. It increases circulation and provides almost instant aid. Use a generous portion and apply it all over the aching area. (Be sure to warn your bedmate as the stench can ensure a nookie-free night.) 4. Get Rid of Nasty Nail Fungus. Rub VapoRub on your toenails if you suspect you have a fungus. Within days, the nail will turn dark梩his means the Vicks is killing the fungus. As your toenail grows out, the dark part will grow off and you will have fungus-free feet. Keep applying the ointment over a period of two weeks to fully cleanse nail beds of any remaining bacteria. 5. Stop Your Cat from Scratching. Cats are notorious for scratching every hard surface they get their claws on. To prevent Miss Kitty from ruining your doors, walls, and windows, apply a small amount of VapoRub to these areas. Cats detest the smell and will steer clear. Vicks can also be applied to your arms and legs if your kitty is prone to scratching you. 6. Pet Pee-Pee Deterrent. If your dog or cat is not yet potty trained, put an open bottle of Vicks on the area he or she likes to mark as their territory. The smell will discourage them from lifting their legs and wetting your rug. 7. Headaches Be Gone Rub a small amount of Vicks VapoRub on your temples and forehead to help relieve headaches. The mentholated scent will release pressure in your head and instantly relieve pain. 8. Humidify Your Sleep. Vicks VapoRub can be used in special types of humidifiers and vaporizers. Ensure your humidifier has an aromatherapy compartment before using. The humidifier will circulate Vicks throughout the air and keep you breathing easy all night long. 9. Paper Cuts and Splinters. To prevent infection and speed up healing time, dab a small amount of Vicks on any small cut or splinter. 10. Ticks and Bugs. If you get bitten by a tick, apply Vicks immediately. The strong odor might help get the critter to release itself and stop bugging you. 11. Reek-free Racehorses Professional racers smother VapoRub under the nostrils of racehorses on race day. The strong stench deters the stallions from the alluring odor of the female pony and keeps them focused on the race. 12. Go Away Mosquitoes. Vicks wards off mosquitoes. Apply small dabs of Vicks VapoRub to your skin and clothes and mosquitoes will steer clear. If you do get bitten, apply Vicks to the area and cover it with a Band-Aid to relieve itching. According to WebMD, there have been a few complications in children when Vicks is used inappropriately. A few children reacted negatively and ended up hospitalized when Vicks was applied directly under the nose. Though this is extremely rare and only happens to those who are sensitive to Vicks, consumers should use caution when applying it to the face or on young children. Even though its strong stench may cost me a few friendships, I am definitely heading to the nearest drugstore to stock up on this little blue smelly bottle. After all, I never know the next time I抣l have a headache, or am heading to the racetrack. Installing Laminate Wood Floors

Unique Flooring is a family-owned flooring business in Oceanside, California that sells hardwood flooring, ceramic tile, laminate wood flooring, laminate tile flooring, vinyl flooring, area rugs, bamboo and cork flooring, carpet and countertops. PHONE: (760) 945-0010 EMAIL: [email protected] WEBSITE: http://www.UniqueFlooringSD.com FACEBOOK: http://tinyurl.com/uniqueflooring ******************************************* One of the top benefits of laminate wood flooring is its ease of installation. Unlike hardwood flooring, which requires professional installation, most do-it-yourselfers can install a laminate wood floor themselves in a single afternoon. Hi, I'm Tony Oliva, president of Unique Flooring in Oceanside, California. In this video, I'll give you an overview of the installation process for laminate wood flooring. Please note, this video is not a comprehensive installation guide. PREP: Before you can start laying down your laminate floor, you'll need to make sure the room is prepped and that you have the right tools. You can buy a laminate installation tool kit at your local home improvement store for under $50. Next, you'll need to take out the current flooring. Make sure the subfloor is as flat as possible. This may require grinding down high areas or filling in low areas with leveling compound. Sweep the sub floor to make sure you don't lay down the laminate planks on top of pebbles or other debris. You'll need some sort of underlay material to help cushion the flooring. Some laminate comes with the underlay attached to the bottom of the planks. If not, the underlay you use will depend on the subfloor in the room. Ask your local flooring retailor for a recommendation on what type to use. INSTALLATION: Once all the prep work is done, you're ready to start laying down the laminate. You'll probably be surprised at how simple this task is. Laminate planks come with interlocking tongues and grooves, so they basically lock into place with just a little nudging and tapping. There's no need to glue or nail down the boards. They lay right down on top of the subfloor or underlay. You will need to do some cutting so that the planks fit the size of your room. Remember, you'll be looking at this floor for a long time, so cut with care. Make sure to leave a quarter inch gap between the laminate and the walls to allow the laminate to settle and expand. Your local flooring retailor or the laminate manufacturer can provide you with more specific installation directions tailored to your laminate flooring product. FINISHING: Toward the end of the project, you'll likely need to make a lot of small cuts and adjusts to make sure the floor fits the area. Resist the urge to rush. You may also need to trim the underlay and then install the wall base or quarter round molding. Next, Install the trim tack and trim pieces where needed. The last thing you'll want to do is get a damp towel or mop and wash your new laminate floor to remove any dust or glue. That's basically what you need to know to install a laminate floor. If you're not the do-it-yourself type, that's okay too. Your local flooring retailor can always install it for you quickly and professionally. I always tell clients that if they're unsure, it's probably better to pay a professional to install the floor to make sure it's done right. Here at Unique Flooring, our job is to put the perfect flooring under your feet! Thanks for watching! Do Chinese Herbal Remedies For Eczema Work?

01:22
http://www.VanishEczema.net In this tutorial, Chris Schach M.D., discusses etiology, prevention, and treatment of this common skin problem. There are many factors that lead to dry skin and eczema that are preventable and fairly easy to manage with over the counter treatments. In this video, practical information about prevention of eczema and the use of recommended topical moisturizers is discussed. Learn the basics to get relief from your dry skin or winter itch. Watch our tutorials, given by U.S. Board Certified dermatologists, at http://www.VanishEczema.net DRY SKIN AND Eczema MANAGEMENT GUIDE Dry skin (xerosis or asteatosis) occurs when moisture and barrier oils are lost from the epidermis. This leads to cracks in the skin.....like a dry river bed. Dry skin tends to be itchy. On going dry skin with resultant scratching may lead to red, inflamed and scaly patches. This itchy inflamed skin condition is known as Eczema or dermatitis. Eczema (dermatitis) is not contagious. While certain allergies may worsen Eczema, they are not the basic cause of Eczema. Most patients can be controlled with treatments available today. Control of Eczema is essential because the itching and other discomforts associated with this disease can intrude on the quality of life. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS Soap is irritating to the skin of persons with dry skin or dermatitis, and should be used sparingly, if at all. A "soap substitute" such as CeraVe, Cetaphil, Purpose or Oilatum is recommended. Dove unscented body wash is another good alternative. Wool acts like sandpaper on dry skin. Wool blankets, upholstery, rugs, car seats and coats should be avoided. Silk and synthetic clothes may worsen the condition also. Cotton is usually well tolerated. Dry skin may lead to dermatitis. Low humidity robs the skin of its moisture. Keep the skin moist with bland emollients such as CeraVe or Cetaphil cream. These are most beneficial when applied over wet skin after bathing. Use an ointment like Vaseline petroleum jelly or aquaphor to the most severe cases of dry skin. Sometimes creams or lotions will sting or burn when applied to raw skin. A room humidifier/cool mister is helpful during the winter months. Emotions -- The tiny skin blood vessels are under control of the sympathetic nervous system. We blush with embarrassment, flush with anger, and pale with fright. When persons with dry skin or Eczema (dermatitis) get mad, their skin gets red and starts to itch. This is true even of small babies. The time of year -- Most people with dry skin or dermatitis are worse in the winter and improve during the summer. Geographical area -- The place you live rarely makes any real difference. Dry skin and Eczema (dermatitis) occurs in all peoples of all nations of the world. Scratching -- Dry skin and dermatitis is commonly known to get worse with scratching. Persons with dry skin or dermatitis itch much more easily than those who do not have Eczema. Rubbing and scratching worsen Eczema -- it is very important to minimize scratching. Eczema does not cause scars but scratching may. Diets -- Special elimination diets are seldom of help in dry skin or Eczema. A normal, well-balanced diet should be followed. Oral consumption of oils (like canola or olive oil) will not moisturize skin. TREATMENT Avoid things that irritate -- Fragrance, woolen products, excess heat or cold, emotional upsets, dust, soaps, animal hair, feathers. Avoid fragrant laundry detergent and avoid all fabric softeners. Control the dry skin -- Special soap substitutes should be used. Bathe no more than once daily. After bathing apply the prescribed medications or a lubricating cream or ointment to the moist skin to help keep water in the skin. Apply a cortisone preparation to the areas of Eczema or that itch as directed, usually twice daily. Control scratching -- Stockings over hands may help control scratching in children. Keep fingernails trimmed. Antihistamines (used as anti-itch medications) are helpful, especially at bedtime. In severe cases of Eczema or for flare ups, oral medications, light therapy, or injections may be used to control the disease. Flare-ups should be brought under control early -- waiting will only make it more difficult to achieve control.

Knitting Necessary - How To Tutorial Knitting Crochet Yarn Wool needles hooks

03:39
In this video I'm going to show you how to put together a knitting or crochet essentials kit. The aim of this kit is that, if you're like me and every other knitter I know you'll have several "works in progress" (WIP) at the same time, you can pick it up and transfer it between WIP so you always have your essentials with you and you don't lose or forget that one thing that you absolutely must have to continue. The word necessary is derived from an older word "chatelaine" which comes from the middle ages and is the title of the woman who ran the house, the title stuck but was transferred to the keys that opened and unlocked everything that fell under her preview. And then just became a combination of the everyday things that a woman needed to do her job. These were then put into a bag or "pocket" that a woman wore under her voluminous skirts containing, you guessed it, all the necessary things she needed through out the day, so it was referred to as a necessary. facebook.com/cloudwatchingresinarts www.cloudwatchingarts.com Resources http://www.barnes.com.au http://www.arttreecreations.com/apps/webstore/products https://secure.solidsolutions.com.au/view_products.php?cat=79 http://www.craftonline.com.au/shopping/c-brands-ranger-adirondack-inks.asp http://www.artsuppliesaustralia.com.au/products Music: Midnight Sonata:Beethoven Artist: Kim Oke Providing people and spaces that allow people to take a moment out of time to see, imagine & relax. A chance to revisit the childhood space where your imagination can fly free. Using bright colours and Chaos Theory to create imagination provoking Abstract Art & Gifts. Their vibrancy and the way they appear next to and in combination with each other allows me to make the focus of my work and designs about movement and colour. Once I’ve chosen the colours, I rarely plan a design beyond the most basic. I let the piece flow watching the colours combine and recombine, sometimes guiding the flow, sometimes adding more colour to an area, and then see what appears before me. Viewing abstract art is like cloud watching, you'll never know what you find. For this reason I sign the back and, with most pieces, allow you to choose how to hang it.

How to Make a Stacking Coffee Table

02:41
Add style and simplicity to your living room with this easy to make stackable coffee table. Find project details here: http://low.es/21sMuEX The table really is just a stack of blocks with each 'block' made from a hollow core door and some laminate. Because the door gets cut into two even pieces, you need to stabilize the cut ends. Cut a piece of scrap wood to size and fit that in for support. Add some glue to secure it. You can clamp the ends while the glue dries, or just add a couple of pin-nails. Then, using heavy-duty adhesive, spray each door-half and join them. The glue sets immediately so you only get one shot at joining the door-halves. Be very careful when you're aligning the edges and then make sure you've got good contact all the way around. Now you're ready to start laminating. All the laminate pieces are cut a little oversized so you can trim them back for the best fit. Start with the sides. Spray an even layer of adhesive on the block and the laminate, position the laminate, and press it into place. A roller is a great way to get a really good seal between the laminate and the door. Then, use a router to trim off the excess. Be sure and sand the edges so you get a nice tight seam when you put the top on. Repeat the same process for the remaining sides. Now that you have all four sides on, do a little light sanding to get rid of any lumps and bumps so you can put your laminate top on. The top and bottom, are added just like the sides: spray, position, seal, and rout. When all your laminate is in place, use a little laquer thinner on a shop rag to remove any gluey globs. Make as many blocks as you like, then start stacking. You can use different colors of laminate and you can orient them differently to make a fun table for your living room. Vex’ahlia presses their dwarven captive for information. The Duergar only laughs at the barbarian's plight, and spits out warnings of the “master” that awaits them below, before Vax’ildan finally puts her out of her misery. After an uneasy night’s rest for the party and hours of meditation for Keylith, the druid is thankfully able to restore Grog’s mind, and the Vox Machina continue down through the great cavern. They pass through a gutted goblin village strewn with corpses, and eventually spy another group of Duergar, dragging along 3 dwarven captives. Scanlan and the twins whip out their flying carpet and tail the Duergar from afar, over a thin, creeking rope bridge. Scanlon disappears from sight, and now invisible, carefully makes his way into a war camp teeming with dark dwarves, ogres, and trolls. There he bears witness to an Illithid controlling all those around him, devouring the mind of one of the three dwarven miners. After catching his companions up, the group hatches a plan to lure their enemies into an illusion and drop them to their doom, into the cavern below the bridge. It is partially successful, but then, while acting as living bait, Vax’s mind is stunned by the Illithid and he is almost dropped to his death before Tiberius swoops in to save him. With the plan now in disarray, Vex and Keylith decide to delve into the chasm below the bridge, in spite of their companions’ protests. Their instincts serve them well though, and hidden behind a subterranean waterfall they find a cave. Within it awaits a powerful and unlikely ally. Thinking Tackle Online Episode 2 - Simon Scott & Mark Bryant | Korda Carp Fishing 2018

33:30
Carp fishing show Thinking Tackle Online returns with Episode 2. Fisheries scientist Simon Scott is joined by his friend and fellow Team Korda member Mark Bryant, as they head off to Shillinglee Fishery, in Surrey. A real old estate lake that time has seemingly forgotten is the setting for this very carpy episode. During the session they take an in-depth look at the rigs and tactics that they are using and exactly how to set everything up, so viewers can easily fish in the same way, as tackling a very silty estate lake like this requires some changes. Including Simon's favourite Combi rig tied using Korda components Boom, Supernatural, Kickers and a Kurv hook. Simon also takes a look at things from a scientific point of view and how the make-up of the lake might affect where the fish will feed, as well as baits and tactics to get around the problems associated with smelly, old silt. Regardless of whether or not you fish this type of water currently, you will still pick up plenty of useful tips which you can instantly apply to your own fishing next time that you are out on the bank, and which will help you to catch more fish. Cool Wool | Nepali

01:21
This toy is almost magical. You will need an empty match box, a long needle and two colors of wool 60-cm long. Remove the cover and then weave pink wool by poking a long needle diagonally through the drawer. Similarly, poke the needle along the other diagonal to weave the green wool. Both the pink and green wool would be crisscrossing each other. Tie knots on both ends of the wool. Trim the tail ends of the knots. Finally fit the outer cover on the drawer of the matchbox and stretch both the ends of wool. Then ask a friend to gently move the matchbox from left to right and you will be surprised to see the color of the wool magically changes. The pink on the other side becomes green and the green becomes pink.
