Will other CryptoCurrencies see the 10,000x gain like Bitcoin?

06:51
Will other CryptoCurrencies see the 10,000x gain like Bitcoin? PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE! Francis Hunt, stock market trader and educator comments. Besides Ethereum and Bitcoin, in which other cryptocurrencies should we consider investing? What are the most promising ones? So when we talk about when to buy, but when to sell? Is there any cryptocurrency apart from Bitcoin right now in which I can put in around $1k now with the possibility of a great return, say, of $10,000 in 5 years time? I would put my money on the first 10 and just keep an eye on the top 25. ICO's by their very nature are highly speculative and can be risky. You can now actually buy things with Bitcoin and that's practical. Ethereum is now also coming into practical things. On the bigger sums you probably don't want to put a lot of money on new unproven cryptocurrencies.

Trezor Wallet: https://trezor.io/ Banking On Bitcoin Documentary: https://www.netflix.com/ca/title/80154500 DISCLAIMER: Investing in Bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies are risky. As I've mentioned many times, I do NOT recommend investing money that you can't afford to lose. Nobody knows if Bitcoin will go up or down tomorrow - it's just speculation. For me personally, I consider the money I invest to be my "Vegas Money" - meaning, I'm gambling it. If I win, then I win big. If I lose, then I'm not surprised and it was money that I could afford to lose. That's why it's important not to invest a significant portion of your money into it. So if you do invest, I believe it's smart to start with smaller amounts. In this video I share with you my bitcoin investment strategy. Have you been questioning whether you should buy bitcoin & other cryptocurrencies? If so, I’m here to give you my perspective on it. I’m not an expert on the topic, but my bitcoin investment strategy may help guide you in the right direction. Bitcoin is a form of digital currency that has gained popularity in the last few years. It is the first example of a growing category of money, known as cryptocurrency. Personally, I see bitcoin as a risky and volatile investment to make, as the government has yet to regulate it. That being said, I do feel that there is a place in someone’s investment strategy for more risky investments that have the potential for a very high return or reward. Because of this, I have recently been investing in bitcoin, ethereum, and litecoin. Are you ready to learn what my bitcoin investment strategy is? In the words of Warren Buffett, one of the world’s most successful investors of all time, “Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.” Make smart investments and build the financial foundation for your future today! #1 Lesson I Learned Investing in Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dash

11:28
Investing in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash, Litecoin, and more is a huge chance to make money AND by definition an opportunity to spend a lot of time, energy, and capital only to end up breaking even or losing money. After three years of investing, trading, speculating, obsessing, buying, selling, guessing, analyzing, and predicting, what have I found today that works to get the very highest return with the lowest amount of risk and the least amount of problems? Take the complete class free at http://jerry.tips/cryptor or hear the short version in this video where I share the value of a buy and hold strategy done every month which I learned in MONEY Master the Game by Tony Robbins which he learned by interviewing many of the world's top financial gurus and billionaires. I translated the advice for me into first buying one cryptocurrency named Dash which I believed was way undervalued because it provides dividends every month when holding a masternode. To take action, I bought over 1,000 Dash to make a masternode at the end of December of 2016 and the beginning of January 2017. As soon as I did this, I started talking about Dash on my YouTube channel and podcast when the price was under $20 with the total to get a masternode under $20,000. As I continued to talk about Dash and get more involved in the community over the next few months, the price spiked to over $100 for a Dash meaning over $100,000 for a masternode. Today the price is currently around $85 and I am planning to hold my masternode indefinitely. The success of the masternode investment has tempted me to fortunately make the same mistakes I already made except on a bigger level. On several days I have been tempted to sell the masternode and then try and trade with it to make even more money. When I review the prices, I also see that the original $10,000 that is now $85,000 I could have turned into over a million dollars if I had made the right buys and sells. The problem is how do you know when to buy and when to sell? Unless you have an explicit insider advantage, which often is illegal, it is extremely difficult to accurately predict what will happen. At the same time, it is easy to get lucky and feel smarter than everyone else. With all of this in mind, I have been asking how can I consistently invest in these digital currencies online and build a retirement portfolio that profits from the gains and minimizes losses? What I am doing now and quickly explain in the video is doing a buy and hold strategy each month the same way as I have done previously with retirement accounts. Every month I pick a day to invest about 0.5 Bitcoin on Bitfinex buying everything there except Dash which allows me to invest in most of the top cryptos. On that same day I put another 0.01 Bitcoin into the top 50 Poloniex currencies excepting those I already have on Bitfinex and Coinbase where I buy $10 a day in Bitcoin and $10 a day in Ethereum. Get $10 on Coinbase when you sign up with my link and fund your account with $100 at https://www.coinbase.com/join/53f220834b1a7fd652000013. This strategy eliminates the majority of the problems I have faced so far investing and allows me to essentially bet the entire market without having to care what the price is day to day. DON'T OBSESS OVER NOTHINGNESS - BTC/CRYPTOCURRENCY TRADING ANALYSIS

This market trading analysis applies to various exchanges, including Bitmex and Binance. Tackling questions like if Bitcoin can reach 20k again and if we will be seeing a crypto currency market recovery this year. Things like the lightning network have provided huge improvements for BTC and while it is true that others like Roger Ver with Bitcoin Cash (bcash) may disagree, I do see these blockchain technology innovations to be very bullish fundamental signs for the space. How To Accept Bitcoin on Shopify

10:21
In this video I show you how to accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in your Shopify stores. 🎧 Music: “Raw” by Johnny Rock 🎙 Voiceover/Quote by Brock Pierce Whether you love it or hate it, Cryptocurrency and it’s foundation, blockchain technology is the future of the internet as we know it. Or as Brock Pierce (founder of EOS and Blockchain Capital) calls it, “it’s the new internet. -It’s the upgrade.” And just like the earliest Bitcoin investors who made hundreds of millions in a matter of years, it’s the early adopters who come out ahead… So let’s setup your eCommerce business for success. This is how you can accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in your Shopify store. I’ll show you how to accept payments with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash through your checkout pages. 🛠 Step 1: Enable The Alternate Payment Gateway in Shopify From your Shopify dashboard navigate to Settings then Payment Providers and you’ll be able to see all the current payment options you have available in your store durring checkout. Scroll down until you see the Alternative Payments section. From here you’ll see a large list of 3rd party payment gateways and processors to choose from. In this video we focus on using Coinbase Commerce and BitPay. Coinbase let’s you accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash, while BitPay is solely used for Bitcoin payments. Coinbase is by far the world’s biggest crypto-exchange and management platform. It’s also the most popular with people just starting out in the crypto space. This is the gateway I choose to use on the Shopify stores, but a lot of people have security/trust concerns with Coinbase. It you fall into that category you can also choose to use BitPay which is also free to use and just as easy to setup. Depending on what you choose, use the links below to signup and create your account on the gateway you’d like to use. ➡️ Sign Up For Coinbase Commerce: https://Commerce.Coinbase.com ➡️ Sign Up For BitPay: https://BitPay.com 🏦 Step 2: Setting up Your Payment Gateway/Merchant Accounts Once you’ve selected who you’re going to use to accept payments you’ll need to setup and verify your account with them. Each service is free to sign up to and only takes 5 minutes to fill out and verify all your details. Basic things like your name, email, business information and where to deposit funds to. You can choose to have payments automatically converted into US dollars and deposited into a regular bank account or sent directly to a crypto wallet for safe keeping. (Some fees apply when transferring to a bank). 🔗 Step 3: Linking Your Account Your Shopify Store Once everything is setup and ready to go you just need to link your new account to your Shopify store via copying and pasting the provided API keys in the Alternative Payment gateway section we found earlier. For Coinbase Commerce you’ll find your default API key right on your main dashboard after logging in. For BitPay, you need to navigate to Payment Tools, Integration Resources then Legacy API Keys. Click the “Add New API Key” button at the top to create a new key. Before you copy it click edit and rename it to something you’ll recognize to keep your account organized as you add more websites. So if you only intend on using it on this one website title it something like “Shopify” or enter the names of each store. Once you have your API keys created and ready to go, navigate back to Shopify and paste them into the new gateway and click save. That’s it! I hope you guys enjoyed this video. SCARY Trend in Bitcoin & Other Cryptocurrencies

12:01
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have seen a drastic decline in exchange traded volume, transaction volume and overall interest in both traditional and social media. In this video, we discuss the decline in Bitcoin exchange volume, Bitcoin transaction volume and the increase in NVT ratio. Steemit Post: https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@cryptovestor/scary-trend-in-bitcoin-and-other-cryptocurrencies We also explore how media sites like Coindesk and Cointelegraph are starting to see their monthly visitors decrease as their Alexa ranks flatten and Cointelegraph sees a substantial 25 - 50% decline in views on some of its most popular price analysis articles. Additionally, social media interest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is beginning to decline as well, as we see the /r/Bitcoin & /r/Cryptocurrency subreddit subscriber growth plummet. Both views and subscriber growth has been significantly stunted on YouTube as well almost across the board. There appears to be decreased interest in other social media as well, including Twitter. In my opinion, this is evidence that most people only care about price, not the "technology." The sideways trading action in the market over the past month has led many people to become "bored" with only minor double digit movements (I get a chuckle out of that) and less people are interacting than before. Will interest pick back up again? Perhaps once volatility enters the market again, especially if we see a breakout to the upside, but it appears many people were burned from the last crash and sold out or otherwise became disinterested. What are your thoughts on this macro trend? ================ If you like my content, you can support me through using ANY of the affiliate links below (I receive small compensation). The beauty of affiliate links is that I can pick and choose what I like rather than have companies approach me - everything I linked below (with the exception of Trezor since I like Ledger), I use myself frequently. ================ My Recommended Hardware Wallets: If you want to store your cryptocurrencies safely, the best way is through a hardware wallet. Seriously - look it up and you'll find plenty of information supporting this claim. There are alternatives such as paper wallets, but these are convenient and my choice for cold storage (offline): Ledger Nano S: http://amzn.to/2hZPj0q Trezor: http://amzn.to/2AxD9TN Ledger Blue (expensive): http://amzn.to/2hk7xst I personally prefer the Ledger Nano S, but the Trezor is such a close second that it really doesn't matter which one you go with. Ledger Blue is premium and convenient, but not necessary. ================ My Favorite Book for Investing in Crypto: Cryptoassets: http://amzn.to/2zKDdCF This book is, bar none, my favorite book for investing in cryptocurrencies. It doesn't bog you down with technical jargon, but instead focuses on all the elements you should understand before you invest. It's a comprehensive book for both beginners and experts. Beginners will find information about major cryptocurrencies (not just Bitcoin) as well as details on historical market events (that you can draw on for future) and events to watch for moving into the future. Experts will find the chapters on valuation particularly useful. For those of you involved in traditional investing, this book is even more of a godsend as finance info is explored (correlations with other asset classes, ETFs, etc). ================ My Recommended Exchanges: Coinbase / GDAX / Bittrex https://www.coinbase.com/join/5a08b12e305a1401d79d10e0 If you sign up to Coinbase using link above, you and I will both receive $10 each after you buy your first $100 of Bitcoin using Coinbase. Coinbase is much less intimidating for beginners. Once ready, move up to GDAX for cheaper or zero fees. For altcoins, I recommend Bittrex. ================ Legal Stuff: I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. None of what I provide in my videos is investment advice. How is Bitcoin Used?

If you would like to support us either check out our Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/theinvisiblefootofgovernment or donate some bitcoins to the wallet address 1A6oNTWReRy2reBwaHPLJ8147XTU2vGikm and spread the word about us :) Narration --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How is bitcoin used? Basically you can think of bitcoin like a currency. Just like you can exchange your dollars for euros or yuans you can exchange them for bitcoins. Just like the Dollar is the currency of the US, and the euro is the currency of a bunch of european countries, bitcoin is the currency of the internet (or one of its currencies). More and more stores and e-commerce websites are already accepting payments in bitcoin. The thing though is that people don’t really want to spend their bitcoins like that, at least for now. For one because bitcoin is pretty volatile, the price keeps going mostly up right now, but it could be a bubble and suddenly drop by a lot and people don’t like that kind of volatility for a currency. It’s also not that easy to rebuy bitcoins, so why spend the bitcoins and then have to laboriously replenish them. Most people still get paid in government currencies. Really only people who get paid in bitcoin or who for some reason almost exclusively own bitcoin and no other currency care about having lots of places to spend them. But even those people mostly exchange their bitcoins for government currency whenever they need to buy things. So that initial vision of bitcoin replacing all other currencies and people only using bitcoins for everything … didn’t happen … it just wasn’t practical. Why learn how to use a completely new type of currency, if your credit card is working just fine and you already know how to use it and who to call if something doesn’t work? So if it’s apparently not that useful as a currency, why do so many people buy bitcoins and why is it so resilient? Well, like with any technology, those people will use it for whom it has an advantage over their alternatives. So it’s important to understand what bitcoin’s advantage is. Bitcoin has a very uncanny resemblance with another internet technology … torrent. Imagine it’s ledger or blockchain like a torrent file that can simply be appended. That tells you something about bitcoin’s competitive feature. Like torrent it can’t be controlled or shut down. One of bitcoin’s first major uses was a deep web e-commerce site called silkroad. With bitcoin something was possible that was not possible with any other currency. A website, similar to e-bay that couldn’t be controlled by the government. Therefore it was really only worth it for people who couldn’t sell things on normal sites like e-bay to go through the trouble of figuring out how to use it. So it became a place where only things were sold that were illegal, mostly drugs. As terrible as that sounds, Satoshi Nakamoto should maybe get a Nobel peace price for reducing drug violence. Selling and buying drugs online got rid for the need for a lot of the armed thugs in the drug business and allowed users to leave ratings and reviews about the quality of the drugs. The same is possibly true for prostitution. It’s certainly safer for sex workers to be able to advertise online instead of standing on the street or having to work in a brothel. But today and especially outside of the US the biggest use is for international money transfers. People learn to use this strange new currency thing on the internet to be able to circumvent all the red tape and high fees of sending money abroad, often also tariffs and capital controls. Not surprisingly the main use case of bitcoin in countries with crazy inflation like Venezuela some more tech savvy people convert their income immediately into bitcoins to hedge against their currency’s inflation and convert them back into their currency when they need to pay bills or buy groceries. For the moment Bitcoin’s use is simply to give a middle finger to the governments, but let’s see what will happen in the future. Like music and movie sharing sites that forced the entertainment industry to get creative and invent iTunes and streaming and stuff like that that people actually prefer over downloading pirated files, it could simply force governments to be more responsible, and innovate so that people prefer to use their currencies instead of going through the hassle of using bitcoin. Or maybe Bitcoin or another crypto currency becomes more widely used and easier to use and people really decide to use it as a primary currency. It could also simply replace the dollar as the world reserve currency. Or something else could happen that I don’t have the creativity to even imagine. It’s hard to predict the future.
How to Invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Other Cryptocurrencies

10:51
Get $10 of Bitcoin free when you buy Bitcoin here: http://ianbalina.com/sixfigures/coinbase How to Start Investing in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Other Cryptocurrencies How to Start Investing in Bitcoin and Ethereum There are multiple ways to invest in virtual currencies, and it all depends on what you want. Here are the basics of buying and investing in Bitcoin, Ethereum and other alternative cryptocurrencies (altcoins). Coinbase If you’re new to cryptocurrencies, then Coinbase is the best way to get started. Coinbase is an online exchange platform for transferring, buying, selling, and storing cryptocurrency. Its creators wanted to develop an open system that would allow people to convert digital currency into their local currency. In 2013, Coinbase became the top-funded Bitcoin startup, raising over $25 million. If you signup for Coinbase using this link (http://ianbalina.com/sixfigures/coinbase), and buy or sell $100 of digital currency or more, both you and I can earn $10 of free bitcoin! GDAX and Gemini If you’ve already tested the waters and decided that Bitcoin is something worth investing in, then you need to learn how to use GDAX and Gemini. Just like Coinbase, they are exchange trading platforms that allow you to buy, sell, and store cryptocurrencies. However, these systems are more complex than Coinbase and perfect for day trading. Moreover, they have lower transaction fees than Coinbase. Let’s take a look at both of them to understand how they work. GDAX GDAX (Global Digital Asset Exchange) is a service provided by Coinbase that offers a secure and easy way for traders of all levels to buy and sell digital assets online and instantly, across six trading pairs: BTC (Bitcoin) to USD BTC to EUR BTC to GBP ETH (Ether) to USD ETH to BTC So, while Coinbase is a place for consumers to buy, sell, and store digital currency easily, GDAX is an exchange for professionals to trade digital assets. Coinbase created GDAX because it identified a need in the market for a more controlled exchange to trade Bitcoin and Ether. Gemini Gemini is another cryptocurrency exchange that has seen a massive expansion in the last years. As a world-class digital asset exchange, it provides an electronic trading platform to both individual and institutional customers. The process of registering and using Gemini is similar to GDAX. However, there are a few notable differences. For starters, Gemini allows you only to deposit and withdraw US Dollars, Bitcoins, and Ether. Unlike GDAX where you have six trading pairs, Gemini provides only four: USD to BTC, USD to ETH, BTC to ETH, and ETH to BTC. On the other hand, with Gemini, you can make a deposit and then use the funds within a matter of seconds. So, you don’t have to wait a few days for the transaction to be completed as it happens with GDAX. However, with Gemini, you can only trade Bitcoin and Ether, while with GDAX you can also trade Litecoin; I personally use GDAX to purchase my Bitcoin or Ether and then transfer it Poloniex, where I do my investing and trading. Poloniex and Bittrex Let’s say the gold rush for making a ton of money on Bitcoin and Ethereum is over, what can one do? No need to worry, there are numerous small virtual currencies, less well-known, that are actually growing faster than Bitcoin and Ethereum. In general, Bitcoin is the 800-pound gorilla in the room and all other non-Bitcoin currencies are referred to as Altcoins. If you head over to Coin Market Cap, you can see a list of 100 cryptocurrencies. Including Bitcoin, they all total up to a whopping $28 billion dollar market cap. In other words, a lot of people are taking their chances at these currencies. Where to Invest in Altcoins? There are numerous other smaller exchanges to invest in altcoins. I personally, use Poloniex and Bittrex to exchange bitcoin into other altcoins. One thing to note is that Poloniex and Bitttrex are cryptocurrency exchanges. You can ONLY exchange cryptocurrencies for other cryptocurrencies. You cannot purchase fiat currencies on Poloniex, you will have to do that at a different site like GDAX or Gemini. In other words, you cannot buy currencies on there using the dollar, euro, yen, etc. You can only make purchases (to exchange a currency) with bitcoin, ethereum, and a few others; bitcoin is the universal cryptocurrency for exchanging to other currencies. IS BITCOIN SHOWING SIGNS OF STRENGTH? - BTC/CRYPTOCURRENCY TRADING ANALYSIS

16:21
Looking at the crypto currency markets for trading BTC and LTC etc. This market trading analysis applies to various exchanges, including Binance and Kucoin. The stream specifically focuses on if bitcoin is going up to 20k again in 2018 and if we will be seeing a crypto currency market recovery this year. Facebook Bans Ads for Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin

03:25
Facebook Bans Ads for Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.Facebook is banning all ads promoting cryptocurrencies — including bitcoin and ICOs.Facebook is banning all ads that promote cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, in an effort to prevent people from advertising what the company is calling “financial products and services frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices.” That means no advertiser — even those that operate legal, legitimate businesses — will be able to promote things like bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, initial coin offerings — ICOs for short — or binary options, according to a Facebook blog post. That also means that “crypto-genius” James Altucher, whose ads have appeared all over the internet and have become a meme of sorts for the entire crypto industry, won’t be able to advertise on Facebook. Ads that violate the company’s new policy will be banned on Facebook’s core app, but also in other places where Facebook sells ads, including Instagram and its ad network, Audience Network, which places ads on third-party apps. “This policy is intentionally broad while we work to better detect deceptive and misleading advertising practices,” wrote Rob Leathern, one of Facebook’s ad tech directors. “We will revisit this policy and how we enforce it as our signals improve.” The cryptocurrency boom/bubble has led to scams and wild price fluctuations that have cost a lot of people — including unsophisticated investors — a lot of money. Scams are illegal, but gambling on investments you don’t understand is not. Look for blowback from entrepreneurs and investors who argue that the move unfairly punishes legitimate cryptocurrency companies and related crypto products. Facebook’s board of directors includes two investors — Marc Andreessen and Peter Thiel — whose firms have been prominent crypto backers. Facebook Messenger boss, David Marcus, is also on the board at the popular crypto exchange Coinbase.

WHY AM I INVOLVED IN BITCOIN AND OTHER CRYPTOCURRENCIES? VLOG-1

05:11
Thanks for watching my very first YouTube video. If you are here, you most likely have an interest in things like Bitcoin and Ethereum. It is my hope to learn and grow with ALL of you, while we go down this journey together. I first started hearing about crypto-currencies a few years ago. Unfortunately, life circumstances made me unable to invest at that time. But in the last 4 months, I have gone in neck deep and have learned a lot that I feel I should share with all of you. People are now flocking to the scene, and there is a lot of misinformation out there. I am grateful for the opportunity to share what I've learned, where I get my information, and spread the love of digital currencies for anyone that wants to know about them. Thanks for watching and if you enjoyed this and want to hear more, would you please like, comment, and subscribe. Interview with Bitcoin.com CEO Roger Ver

03:26
비트코인닷컴 대표 로저 버 대담 The debate continues on virtual currencies. The potential for it to accelerate technological innovation through peer-to-peer payment systems... is undeniable. To get a glimpse of the possible future of cryptocurrencies, past the slew of challenges, our Kim Hyesung sat down with the CEO and founder of Bitcoin-dot-com. CEO of Bitcoin.com, Roger Ver, was one of the earliest investors in bitcoin and related startups, even earning himself the nickname "Bitcoin Jesus" as a vocal advocate of the world's number one digital currency. "Thanks to the internet, anybody in the world could communicate with anyone else, anywhere in the world. Now, thanks to the invention of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, now anyone, anywhere in the world can transact financially with anyone else anywhere in the world. They don't need permission from a bank or a company or a government to do so. So it's a very interesting time to be involved in this." The price of Bitcoin exploded last year,... flying well past ten-thousand U.S. dollars. But prices fell sharply early this year, ushering in a bear season that saw Bitcoin post its worst ever first-quarter performance. Q.Some critics say Bitcoin will collapse or is a bubble ready to burst? What's your take on that? I think it's just a temporary market correction. It's hard to be disappointed by the price here, considering it's up several times from what it was last year at this time. You should look at cryptocurrency as the most useful in commerce. Those are the ones that will perform the best over time in terms of price appreciation against the dollar or the won. It's not just price volatility, there are also concerns over a lack of safeguards as well as the hacking of cryptocurrency exchanges and digital wallets. Q. Some argue that for virtual currency to be traded safely and go mainstream, there need to be some kind of regulations. What kind of regulatory measures should be taken, if any? I'll give the practical answer, which is that businessmen need to know what the rules of the game are going to be so they can run their businesses accordingly, and grow their businesses and expand to help customers around the world. In as far as consumer protection, that's the business's job. I think I'm really really skeptical that politicians are going to know better how to keep cryptocurrency safe than businessmen and users who are actually using the cryptocurrencies." Cryptocurrencies are transacted peer-to-peer through a decentralized system backed by blockchain technology. But while it's used in the real world by millions of law-abiding citizens, there are mounting concerns over its potential misuse for illegal activities, like money laundering or funding terrorism. Governments have started to weigh in...debating Bitcoin's legal status, how to run exchanges, initial coin offerings, the issue of taxation and so on....and it even became one of the key themes at this year's G20 summit. In uncharted waters, the cryptocurrency community is also discussing the industry's direction. At the Deconomy 2018 forum in Seoul, companies like Bitcoin.com, Ethereum, and others insisted that while other things remain unclear right now, technological advances in software, mining and multi-signature wallets are needed to enhance security and cost-effectiveness. "There is a long, long ways to go when it comes to cryptocurrency. It's still a little bit difficult, a little bit hard, there's a lot to learn, so there's huge amount of room for improvement." Brad Templeton: How Bitcoin Disrupts the Finance Industry

04:18
Should you invest in Bitcoin? Maybe not, says Brad Templeton, but that doesn't mean the digital currency isn't amazing in and of itself. Templeton explains what Bitcoin achieves and how it will lead to further innovation. This video is part of Big Think's collaboration with Singularity University on Exponential Technology. Read more at BigThink.com: http://goo.gl/O8uR Follow Big Think here: YouTube: http://goo.gl/CPTsV5 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BigThinkdotcom Twitter: https://twitter.com/bigthink Transcript: Should you invest in Bitcoins? I tell people no. I tell people that the value that people are applying to Bitcoins today is definitely speculative. And so that doesn't mean you can't make a lot of money, everyone knows what's called the greater fool theory that you make money from greater fools and you hope you're the lesser fool. But obviously there are just as many people who fail on that that is who win on it. So, not necessarily something to invest in today, but the technology, the idea, this is very interesting. This is worth looking at. So what Bitcoin creates is a ledger that needs no bank. And that's actually pretty important because if you think about what is a bank, at least as far as the money transfer and the checking and savings, not the loan part but the financial, the moving money part of a bank, it's really it's a secure ledger. The bank does not just have a little file that says your account has $3,000 in it. They insist that when you write something they make a note in their ledger that $1,000 is transferred from your account into someone else's account and so on and that's important to make it secure. Well, what the designers of Bitcoin created was a way to make a ledger that's secure and that everyone can trust but that no one owns or controls. And this allows people to have money that can be free of the influence of governments, which is both bad if you're a government and great if you don't like what governments do with their monetary policies. It lets the policy be set by consensus and software. So Bitcoin basically has found a way to always know what the majority thinks, and by always knowing what the majority thinks you get something you hope you can trust. In theory if someone controlled more than half of the computers in the world they could take over Bitcoin, but that's pretty unlikely. So, why is that exciting? Well, I grew up with the Internet and I'm old because the Internet has actually been around for a while. And the things that I think gave us the revolution of the Internet, that made it change the world so much are things like the fact that it's open and anyone can innovate on it. And things like the fact that the smarts in the Internet are not in the network, they're in your phone, they're in the Web server you're talking to, they're in your desktop computers. They're not in the networking equipment. And that means you can innovate on the Internet without asking anyone's permission. You don't have to call the phone company and say hey I want to put up a cool website, I'm just going to do it. And that gave us all of these wonderful things like Google and YouTube and Facebook, and all these other websites because people sitting in their father's basements could create new products and send them out to the world and try them without having to ask anyone's permission and without having to spend a lot of money. Now Bitcoin is also efficient. It's designed to allow financial transactions to take place at a very low cost. But, this system that doesn't have anyone controlling it and thus has no one to ask permission of is a system that will allow that type of innovation to take place in the world of finance and in the world of contracts. The same kind of innovation that happened in the world of communications and interacting with other people that the Internet gave us. So the hope for Bitcoin is this is a platform where lots of innovators, all sorts of innovators, people like people in dorm rooms who gave us all those big Internet companies can do the same thing in finance and in contracts. And I say in contracts because while the only thing people use Bitcoin for today is effectively to write checks that transfer title in some Bitcoins to another person or another secret numbered account because it's designed to be public in what you do but private in terms of who's doing it. It actually becomes possible to do things like write a contract and say I transfer one Bitcoin to you if the following is true, like if you've delivered the thing you're supposed to deliver to me or something like that. And so now the contracts are enforced without courts, without any other third party. So the ability for people to just play with that and innovate with that that's really exciting and that's why you want to pay attention to Bitcoin.

Freakonomics Radio - Why Everybody Who Doesn’t Hate Bitcoin Loves It

37:45
After being bombarded by email requests for months, Freakonomics Radio has finally caved and made an episode about Bitcoin. It’s called “Why Everybody Who Doesn’t Hate Bitcoin Loves It.” The gist: thinking of Bitcoin as just a digital currency is like thinking about the Internet as just e-mail. Its potential is much more exciting than that. Bitcoin is often described as “virtual gold” — as well as everything from a “bubble” to a “Ponzi scheme” to “a haven for individuals to buy black market items.” But what excites some people, like Silicon Valley veteran Marc Andreessen, is Bitcoin’s potential as a new technology that could underlie any number of transactions, well beyond the simple swapping of currency. Andreessen, a Web pioneer, is now on the board of companies like Facebook and eBay. He is not a disinterested observer in the Bitcoin debate: his venture-capital firm Andreessen Horowitz has invested around $50 million in two Bitcoin-related companies, including Coinbase, and Andreessen says they plan to invest much more to enable Bitcoin to go mainstream. Why such confidence? The reason, Andreessen tells Stephen Dubner, is that Bitcoin is “the solution to a fundamental problem in computer science”: ANDREESSEN: One of the things … that’s been missing on the Internet for 20 years is kind of a native concept of money…The ability to very easily pay somebody online, the ability to very easily charge for a piece of content, the ability to very easily exchange a digital title, or a digital key, or a digital contract has just been missing because you have no mechanism for establishing trust. And so Bitcoin basically holds the promise of being the first solution to establishing trust over an untrusted network. Susan Athey, an award-winning economist at Stanford with a background in computer science, is also a big believer in the technology behind Bitcoin; for what it’s worth, Athey advises the company behind Ripple, which is Bitcoin’s top competitor (by market cap): ATHEY: The beauty of a new currency, which is part of a virtual currency protocol, is that what I’m moving from me to you is just an entry on a secure, public ledger. And that public ledger is maintained by a set of computers all talking to each other using a protocol. So I don’t have to worry about some bank giving me an IOU and then giving that IOU and handing it to another bank. Instead, if I make a transaction over the virtual currency, it’s just an entry in the ledger. So I don’t need a middleman. New York Superintendent of Financial Services Benjamin Lawsky, who is leading the charge to regulate Bitcoin in the U.S., tells Dubner that he is concerned about the freedom Bitcoin affords to criminals: LAWSKY: It’s very hard to transport $1 million in hard currency overseas. You can’t just put it in a backpack and get it on a plane very easily. But it is very easy to do that now digitally using Bitcoin. That said, Lawsky is also excited about the possibilities of a technology like Bitcoin, which could bring down all sorts of transaction fees. This may be bad news for traditional banks, credit-card companies, and other fee-seeking middlemen. But, as Lawsky points out, a lot of other people stand to benefit: LAWSKY: Right now, there are thousands and thousands of New Yorkers who work hard every day to send money back home to their families in whatever country they’re from…And right now they’re paying fees for those wire transactions each week at the end of the week, 7, 8, 9 percent. And that’s a lot of money for people who often can’t afford it. A crowd of leading economists, including two Nobel laureates and former Fed chairman Alan Greenspan, have bashed Bitcoin. They’ve expressed alarm about the astronomical rise in the digital currency’s value. Marc Andreessen argues that they are missing the larger point: ANDREESSEN: It’s a little bit like dogs watching TV. It’s like, it’s all very interesting, but like whatever until another dog shows up on screen and then the dog freaks out. Economists, like this stuff is all like, whatever, technology, geek, nerds whatever and then “currency” is the flag. And so the minute the word “currency” shows up, all the economists perk up because if there’s one thing economists are all experts on it’s currency… And they look at it and they say, “Oh my god, people are paying $600 for this thing, it’s just a piece of fake digital currency, people have just lost their minds.” I don’t think that they are looking at the underlying substance. ➤ Google Plus: https://plus.google.com/b/113356460096647194676/113356460096647194676 ➤ Subscriber: https://goo.gl/rQxE4G

Basically, the way that Proof of Stake works, and what gives it its name, is the miners are required to hold a certain amount of the coin in their wallet, or stake, in order to qualify to mine for new blocks. These qualified miners are then randomly selected to be able to mine the next new block and receive the new coins that are in it. Contrast this with how Proof of Work miners are all competing to unlock the next new block, using lots of energy to do so, and it’s easy to see how Proof of Stake is more efficient. Similar to Proof of Work and how different networks use different hash algorithms, the staking rewards and staking mechanisms differ for Proof of Stake networks as well. We have yet to achieve perfection in this world of cryptocurrencies. There will always be pros and cons to each system. The problem with Proof of Work is ash it takes a lot of computing power, and therefore a lot of energy to run the network and maintain the blockchain. In fact, it is this requirement for this large amount of computer power that acts as the security measure against any one entity being able to control the network (51% attacks)  This was especially true before things like mining pools were created. But that’s something to be saved for another post. There are many pros and cons for Proof of Work, but for the purposes of this video, here are a few: Pros: * More decentralized network * More secure network Cons: * Requires large amounts of energy * Wasted computing power Proof of Stake is at least a more energy efficient way to essentially accomplish the same goals. However, there are a few hang ups for this system as well. Proof of Stake limits who is able to help secure the network by requiring miners to hold a certain amount of its coins in their wallet. Some Proof of Stake coins have been pre-mined, and some have even been “significantly pre-mined" meaning the individuals who created the coin were able to mine coins before going public. This can very easily result in whales, or individuals who hold large amounts of a coin, who then qualify to run a large number of staking nodes. A network that is already less decentralized thanks to this minimum coin requirement, could end up with a few wealthy individuals who would ultimately be able to control the network by running a majority of the staking nodes. Pros: * More energy efficient * Better rewards for staking your coins Cons: * Less decentralized network * less secure network Proof of Stake is an advancement of the idea behind Proof of Work, and with it often comes other mechanisms that work to provide other services that enhance how the network runs. These are called Masternodes and if done correctly, they can be a way to earn a passive income. I’ll be covering masternodes and how to find affordable options in my next video so if this is something you’re interested in learning more about be sure to subscribe to this channel and hit that bell icon to get notified when that video is released.

Bitcoin is the name of the oldest and most popular cryptocurrency network as well as the unit of currency generated by the same network. Except the fact that it is virtual and decentralized, bitcoin behaves very much like any real currency you know. THE "BITMEX EFFECT": PROVES BITCOIN PATTERN? - BTC/CRYPTOCURRENCY TRADING ANALYSIS

18:45
Looking at the crypto currency markets for trading BTC and LTC etc. This market trading analysis applies to various exchanges, including Binance and Kucoin. The stream specifically focuses on if bitcoin is going up to 20k again in 2018 and if we will be seeing a crypto currency market recovery this year. Things like the lightning network have provided huge improvements for BTC and while it is true that others like Roger Ver with Bitcoin Cash (bcash) may disagree, I do see these blockchain technology innovations to be very bullish fundamental signs for the space. "The Bitcoin Prophet of Doom", People Don't Like Bitcoin Bears.

07:02
I have been a Bitcoin bull since 2014 and I still am. Sometimes you just get a funny feeling that things are not right and that the price is moving up too fast. I know nobody likes a bear but people need to understand that nothing goes up forever. We need to build a foundation for every move up. Well, I wrote a post on Steemit yesterday about an hour before the price tumbled. "Bitcoin Mania Has Arrived! I Will Be in My Bunker." Read it here. https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@hilarski/bitcoin-mania-has-arrived-i-will-be-in-my-bunker

50% Bitcoin (BTC) 25% Ethereum (Ether ETH) 25% Stellar (Lumens XLM): Dream Cryptocurrency Portfolio

07:30
50% Bitcoin (BTC), 25% Ethereum (Ether ETH), 25% Stellar (Lumens XLM) - Dream Cryptocurrency Portfolio BTC 50% is minimum while 25% is max in Ethereum Ether and Stellar Lumens XLM doubled compared to ETH in the last six months. My previous recommendation for the last six months was 20% ETH and 30% XLM XLM is less liquid - could have more upside, but can have more downside now. Was less optimistic about ETH six months ago because I didn't see anything launching and knew scaling would take a while. now 2nd layer just launched and Constantinople will launch in a couple months. Proof of Stake will suck up supply and I see great things like MakerDao which also sucks up supply in collateral If you invest in makerdao or other projects - take from XLM or ETH not BTC

How to Earn Daily 1 Bitcoin for Free in Pakistan & India? | Urdu/Hindi

11:36
Do you know how to earn BTC (Bitcoin) for free without investment? NO, I don't know really but there are some websites which give you few satoshi which is the smallest unit of Bitcoin. The worst part is 1 BTC equal to 100 000 000 (10 crores) so you can assume how many satoshi you need in order to make money:(? off course if a website gives you few satoshi so that will be like giving you $0.1 for 1-hour work. I am not saying that all sites are fake or time-consuming but there are few so that's why I divided into 3 sections: 70% are pure fake 20% are just giving you some satoshi(earning) from your ads viewing and computer usage earned amount which is very smallest earning in other words you can say NOTHING. 10% are trusted but for that, you have to invest there and those sites will use your investment either in trading or mining which are totally two different things than viewing someone ads and earn BTC! What Is Double Spending And How Does Cryptocurrency Like Bitcoin Prevent It?

01:48
Bitcoin is currently gaining popularity at an absolutely insane rate all over the world as both a form of digital currency and also as a payment method that is not only secure, but very private and dependable as well. In order to fully understand exactly how bitcoin solves this double spending delima, we will need to first define what exactly the double spending problem is. To be perfectly honest, it’s actually a fairly easy idea to comprehend and this issue only arises on the word wide web and not in real world scenarios. This is because you cannot double spend with something like cash. Definition states that double spending is, “a failure mode of digital cash schemes, when it is possible to spend a single digital token twice. Since, unlike physical token money such as coins, electronic files can be duplicated, and hence the act of spending a digital coin does not remove its data from the ownership of the original holder.” So, precisely what does this all mean,  you may ask? Let’s look at the following example. Let's say you go to a local retailer to purchase a book. You have a ten dollar bill in your pocket and the book also costs exactly ten dollars (tax included). Once you pay for the book with your ten dollar bill, that money will now be in the drawer of the cash register at the store you bought it at. That exact ten dollar bill can only be in one place at one time. This means that is without a doubt cannot be in your wallet AND the store register at the same time! When it comes to monetary transactions taking place online however, things can happen a bit differently. Both sales and purchases made online these days are almost entirely done using a combination of computer coding and also algorithms. All this means means, is the same money cannot be in two or more different places at the same exact time. In order to prevent this exact scenario from happening, there are actually very advanced payment gateways and processors such as PayPal, Worldpay, Authorize.net and many other similar companies and services to make sure that this double spending does not, indeed occur. These payment processors have very advanced systems in place that review all the transactions carefully in order to catch and prevent any and all mistakes from occurring. But also to help prevent fraud as well which is and always will be a threat when dealing with transactions such as this. Now, in spite of these processors being first rate and highly consistent and reliable, there are also a couple disadvantages as well. If, for instance, there are any technical issues, or the platform flags your transaction as sketchy or shady, your transactions will be denied. This safeguard is what is known as a single point of failure system. In addition to that, you may also find that your account will be suspended pending review. This means that your funds will also be stuck until your account is cleared and passed the review. Over the past few years recently, there have been a shocking amount of people have reported having their PayPal accounts suspended or completely shut down for absolutely no good reason at all. In addition to this, in order to maintain their services, said platforms will charge fees ranging from 2%-5%  and even higher! Depending on your volume of transactions, these can really add up quickly and be quite the exorbitant tax on your transactions. Bitcoin and most other kinds of alt-coins and cryptocurrency make this double spending issue a lot less problematic because the blockchain simply does not rely on a single point of failure like what these other processors and platforms do. The bitcoin payment system uses the blockchain to prevent double spending from occurring and it does so without incurring nearly as high of fees as other competitors. Now, I don't want to get too technical here, but a blockchain is in actuality, a shared database by all the nodes participating in that specific coin system. In this case Bitcoin. There is a record on said database of all the........
