Morgan Stanley Downgrades Mexico Mining Stocks

04:02
http://www.illuminatisilver.com Today is Monday 26th November 2018 and we are just alerting you briefly to keep an eye on what is happening in Mexico. Fears that Incoming President Andres Obrador may oversee the tightening of regulations on the mining industry in Mexico which include: • empowering the Ministry of Economy to declare certain zones as not viable for mining • revoking permits and existing concessions that have a negative social impact Last week Morgan Stanley downgraded mining stocks on concerns that Mexico’s new congress is considering as many as 11 bills or resolutions that could materially impact mining companies operating in the country. The first nine bills tabled in congress could impact Mexican miners’ Ebitda, Fresnillo, Penoles and Grupo Mexico according to the Morgan Stanley report. These companies each lost between 4 and 12% of their stock-market value and Fresnillo, which is listed in London, saw its biggest decline in five years. The implications for silver prices are initially difficult to ascertain until more details are known as to the likelihood of these bills passing. However, the implication seems pretty clear - Mexico being the largest silver mine production country producing approximately 5,600 Metric tonnes per annum or practically 20% of global mine production, clearly signifies that any barriers to production will only prove positive for the price longer term. Much clearly depends on the extent to which these companies are directly affected, but those considering investing in mining stocks should be especially cautious but also mindful that markets do tend to ‘overdo’ bad news and so potential buying opportunities can exist if the run on stocks is overdone. We must of course balance this with other countries and companies gradually increasing their output, especially if they are able to lower their costs should lower oil prices persist. However if these regulations do come into force and are adopted elsewhere, then that would have quite a positive impact on the Silver price. I’ll analyse Pan American silver to continue with our sector analysis. The article ends with a comparative table of the miners analysed up till now. Last month I discussed how silver looks like an interesting risk reward hedge to whatever might happen in the future, from loose monetary policy to even increased industrial demand. I have discussed some silver miners that also represent interesting investing opportunities so today I’ll first give a short update on silver and continue with my discussion on a few silver miners. Silver is up a bit In the last month silver prices increased from $16 to the current $17 which might not seem much but it is for silver miners as every dollar increase in prices is pure pre-tax profit for them. Silver is up on higher inflation expectation, more geopolitical turmoil but we must keep in mind that silver prices are volatile and one never knows where those will go in the short term. Let’s continue to look at silver miners to see if the risk reward opportunities are better than with physical silver. Pan American Silver Corp (NASDAQ: PAAS) What first nice about PAAS is the cash mining costs below $5 and all-in sustaining costs of $10.79 that should allow for significant cash flows and profits. There is also a 0.8% dividend yield which is not bad for a hedge.

Resource Intelligence Country Report: Mexico

12:53
Did you know that Mexico is the #1 producer of smart phones in the world? And 82% of Mexicans over 14 have a cell phone? Or that high tech manufacturing represents almost 20% of Mexico's GDP? And that they are the 2nd largest producers of TV's in the world, and the largest producer of white goods? Literally one of every 3 fridges, stoves and washing machines is manufactured in Mexico! Here is another shocker -- Mexico produces more automobiles than Canada or the USA. Welcome to Country Reports. Because location risk is the biggest gamble in mining, assumptions can be expensive either by being too optimistic or pessimistic. Our objective with this program is to help investors understand jurisdictional or location risk. So come with us today to Mexico where in the next 10 minutes we'll show you that Mexico is no sleepy hollow of sombreros and burritos -- it is dynamic, and it's changing fast. And in Mexico, mining is embraced as an important source of jobs, revenue and national identity. Mining Policy: Laying the groundwork for change. In Mexico, mining is big and it is efficient. Mining policies pertaining to permitting and taxation are largely centralized—they are federal responsibilities. This has been great for investment in the mining industry. Here's an example. SilverCrest Mines, Mexico's newest producer, drilled its first drill hole just four years ago and is now in production. It could generate up to $30 million in profits annually, sufficient to repay the company's total capital costs in under a year. Here's another example. During construction, Goldcorp's Penasquito operation was the biggest construction project in Mexico. It cost an astounding $1.6 billion dollars to build. Its size is monumental. Each and every day 120,000 tonnes of rock are processed. Penasquito has a mine life of 22 years based on current resources. Each pit is a kilometer in width. The crushed ore conveyor is over a kilometer long. But these foreign owned projects were not always able to operate so efficiently in Mexico. In 2003, there were 74 foreign mining companies operating in Mexico. At last count there were 263. How did this growth happen? Changes to mining law in 1990 led to a giant leap forward for mining investment in Mexico. Foreign capital was finally authorized to participate in 100% of the stock of mining corporations. Today foreign companies work under the same taxation rules as domestic miners and pay 34% tax on distributed profits only, not on reinvested profits. To further entice miners, Mexico's 15 per cent value added tax has been eliminated in all stages of gold mining. Also, mining companies are exempt from the country's asset tax for the first five years. There are even diesel fuel consumption tax credits for miners in Mexico.

What are some of the mining companies to watch in 2015/2016 and beyond?

05:36
What are some of the miners to watch in 2015/2016 and beyond? Please note that that these are just ideas being shared; we simply asked the opinion of Charles GIbson; THIS IS NOT investment advice and you should seek independent advice if necessary. Charles Gibson: Head of Mining at Edison Research comments. Discuss investing in Large Caps versus investing Small Caps. I like Silver Wheaton Corp which I think has a slightly different business plan which I like. I also follow Randgold resources which is expensive but which I perceive is a good company. I like companies which had a vision and executed very well against their vision and that is worth a lot in mining companies. The smaller ones I would highlight Caledonia Mining Corp and Pan African Resources; in Southern Africa, in production, making profits and paying dividends. I think that Arian Silver is interesting which is based in Mexico and is currently moving into production. I would also Pan African which is based in Zimbabwe and as such located in a risky country. There is also Euromax Resources which is looking to develop a copper periphery in Macedonia, in the Balkans and is going thru a bankable feasibility study at the moment.

Amazing Silver Mines in the World - History Documentary

44:29
Amazing Silver Mines in the World - History Documentary Silver mining is the source removal of silver by mining. Silver is discovered in native type quite seldom as nuggets, however much more normally combined with sulfur, arsenic, antimony, or chlorine and also in various ores such as argentite (Ag2S), chlorargyrite ("horn silver," AgCl), as well as galena (a lead ore usually containing substantial quantities of silver). As silver is typically found along with these or alloyed with various other metals such as gold, it generally needs to be additional removed out via combinations or electrolysis. Silver mining has been taken on given that very early times. As silver is a rare-earth element often used for coins, its mining has traditionally commonly been financially rewarding. As with various other precious metals such as gold, recently found deposits of silver ore have stimulated silver hurries of miners seeking their lot of moneys. In current centuries, large down payments were discovered as well as extracted in the Americas, affecting the growth and also property development of Mexico, Andean nations such as Bolivia, Chile, and also Peru, in addition to Canada and also the Usa. check our channel s://..com/channel/UCnAK... visit our website ://mandkinddocumentary.blogspot.com/

McEwen says the gold mining company wants to wait on production there until there is a higher silver price. McEwen says the 12% increase in gold and silver reserves in its San Jose mine in Argentina is a result on more spending on exploration. Incredible Nevada Silver Mine - Part 5

25:40
We’re at the end of this series now... If you’ve made it through all five of these videos, I thank you for watching and I’m going to assume that you saw why we enjoyed this abandoned mine so much. With some mines, there is a feeling of relief to get outside again into the open skies and fresh air. However, I actually find myself reluctant to leave mines such as this one or the Buca della Vena Mine in Italy. Sure, we’re usually tired after a day of scrambling through the different levels, but they are really fun to explore and after seeing so many amazing things, one is reluctant to leave the party early. As you probably gathered, this is not the last level in this mine, but this is as far as we could go on this trip. There was no way we could have gotten up those soggy, rotten ladders running up the side of that shaft or winze (I still don’t know if that was a winze or a capped shaft). You saw how many rungs were missing and by the point we arrived, those ladders were essentially mush. Speaking of rotten things… How did you like that false floor hanging out over that huge open space? I thought it was pretty cool to be able to look back on that and to see what the platform looked like underneath. It isn’t often that one is able to get a perspective like that. And I’m glad I didn’t go out on it because that would not have been a pleasant ride! I’m also glad we were able to gain additional views down into the huge cave as well. I don’t know if you noticed or not, but at one of those openings I showed down into the cave, you could see ore cart rail jutting out a little bit into the opening. That was one of the points where the miners were dumping the waste rock into the cave. As great as it was to see more of the enormous cave, I think my favorite thing on this upper level was that sign displaying the “Mine Hoist Signal Code.” It is very rare to find intact signs like that. First of all, not many mines are big enough to even have one in the first place. Secondly, the wet or flooded mines will soon cause a sign like that to rot away to nothing. And, lastly, although they might be preserved in the dry, desert mines, those are some of the first mine relics to disappear into the backpacks of “collectors.” So, it is a treat to see one still in place where it belongs. It took us a full day to explore the section of this mine that you saw in this series of five videos, but that is far from the whole mine. I’ve spoken with an individual that knows this mine very well and has seen far more of it than we have. According to him (which is supported by the maps I have seen), we saw only approximately 20% of this abandoned mine in this series. Imagine a series of 25-30 videos that it would have taken to cover this one mine! We haven’t been in many mines that are that big… Really, there aren’t many mines that ARE that big. I haven’t posted them yet, but I actually still have two mine series to publish that are also of enormous mines like this. I think you’ll like those... ***** All of these videos are uploaded in HD, so adjust those settings to ramp up the quality! It really does make a difference. You can see the gear that I use for mine exploring here: https://bit.ly/2wqcBDD You can click here for my full playlist of abandoned mines: https://goo.gl/TEKq9L Thanks for watching! ***** Growing up in California’s “Gold Rush Country” made it easy to take all of the history around us for granted. However, abandoned mine sites have a lot working against them – nature, vandals, scrappers and various government agencies… The old prospectors and miners that used to roam our lonely mountains and toil away deep underground are disappearing quickly as well. These losses finally caught our attention and we felt compelled to make an effort to document as many of the ghost towns and abandoned mines that we could before that colorful niche of our history is gone forever. But, you know what? We enjoy doing it! This is exploring history firsthand – bushwhacking down steep canyons and over rough mountains, figuring out the techniques the miners used and the equipment they worked with, seeing the innovations they came up with, discovering lost mines that no one has been in for a century, wandering through ghost towns where the only sound is the wind... These journeys allow a feeling of connection to a time when the world was a very different place. And I’d love to think that in some small way we are paying tribute to those hardy miners that worked these mines before we were even born. So, yes, in short, we are adit addicts… I hope you’ll join us on these adventures! #ExploringAbandonedMines #MineExploring #AbandonedMines #UndergroundMineExploring

Paramount Gold and Silver (PZG): Advancing Top Quality Projects In Nevada and Mexico

08:17
http://goldstocktrades.com Paramount Gold and Silver (PZG) announced a major resource update at their San Miguel Project. The company has drilled over 100,000 feet. The project has a large resource base in gold and silver. Now the company has started on the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) which will give investors a value of what this mine is worth. Paramount's San Miguel Project surrounds Coeur D'Alene's Palmarejo mine in the historic and prolific Sierra Madre District. The company has acquired all of the claims surrounding Coeur. The San Miguel resource sits very close to the Palmarejo Mine with all the ingredients needed for a major mine. The area has power, water and roads. The company has $22 million of cash in the bank and has enough capital for 2.5 years of exploration. In addition to Mexico, Paramount controls the historic Sleeper Project in Nevada which recently announced a positive PEA at $1300 an ounce gold. Paramount is still trading at a significant discount to prior takeout targets such as Fronteer and Minefinders. The company is cashed up and is actively drilling in Mexico and Nevada in two exciting mining areas. The company appears to be beginning a new uptrend as the 50 day crosses the 200 day moving average to the upside.
