Miley's point of view.
Through the white blinds, the sun blew kisses at my face, removing me from my peaceful slumber. I stretched out my arms, a small, dorky grin rippling across my mouth as I peeked over my shoulder. The brown-eyed beauty remained asleep, shifting slightly and burying her nose further into my soft shoulder. A content sigh escaped my parted lips, and I looked down at our loosely laced fingers, feeling unmistakable butterflies in the pit of my stomach. My cheeks flushed, only she could have the power of making me feel like this. With my free hand, I brushed her fringe away, lightly stroking her cheek bones and pressing a chaste kiss on her forehead.
"That tickles," she groggily murmured, tilting her head back slightly. Her majestic eyelashes lifted, her eyes dipped in chocolate as she lifted her head, lowering her mouth on to mine.
I felt her tongue running along my lower lip, begging for an entrance that surely, I granted. Our tongues mashed together, sloppy, off kisses all around. Her giggles vibrated against my mouth, as she pulled back and killed me with that adorable grin.
"I like waking up to this." I smiled genuinely, my arms coiled around her petite waist as I nodded in agreement.
I hummed slightly, my head resting against a pillow as she blinked a few times, fully awake. "I like it too... and you."
A whole-hearted laugh frolicked past her full lips. "Like? Only like?"
"Or love. Yeah, love sounds right." I raised my eyebrow suggestively, batting my eyelashes and flashing a 100 watt smile.
She lowered her head on to my shoulder once again, looking up at me with those full, powerful orbs. "I love you too."
"I know you d-"
Selena shook her head, looking down, then back up at me. Her voice was considerably more serious, and sincerity softened her face. "No. I mean it. I've never loved anyone, outside of my family, but I love you. I never wanted to feel these feelings, but with you, they just come so easily. I don't care about what other people think anymore, and I know you don't care about my.. bad reputation. So, I do, I really do love you, more than you think."
Butterflies.Tingling. Goosebumps. Blushing.
I nodded curtly, rolling my lips together before responding. "I think you love me as much as I love you." When a small smile cracked her serious face, I added. "And that's a lot, considering I think you're perfect."
"I'm not perfect." She murmured.
"In every single way, you are so damn perfect."
"..I think you are too."
I smiled sweetly, cradling the beautiful girl in my arms. "Thanks, baby,"I pressed a small kiss near her forehead, before closing my eyes. It was a comfortable silence, one where we were both thinking about the same thing: each other.
"Hey, Selena?" I looked over at her, chewing on the inside of my lip. Sweat circled my hairline and I tried my best to shrug off the nervousness inside of me.
"Yeah?" She arched her eyebrow, setting her toothbrush down. I gulped a few times, suddenly uncertain. She shot me a look, quickly pulled her hair into a messy bun and took three big steps towards me. Her arms locked around my neck, and she repeated herself. "Yes, Miley?"
"Would you like.. to go to dinner, on Friday?" I swallowed my insecurities whole, keeping my eyes on hers.
She smirked teasingly. "With you?"
"That was kind of the idea.. yeah." I rolled my eyes slightly, she taunted me with a mockery of thinking.
She paused, and smiled. "Yeah. Of course."
"Great," the corners of my lips tugged up, as I felt the goosebumps prick my skin. When Selena pivoted on her heel and headed towards her closet, I reached into my pocket. I felt the small, Tiffany box with my index finger and thumb. I smiled slyly, suddenly excited by the idea of slipping a diamond ring on her finger.
